- Tour001474472690 contributionsOne of the best, very memorable .Private tour to Delphi, Thermopylae and the monasteries Meteora. This has been one of my favorite tours I have ever taken. From 6am until 8pm. The driver, Dallas was extremely professional and it was like taking an intense course in Greek history. I can’t say enough about how Dallas made this tour exceptional. Delphi is spiritual, Thermopylae plain, but being myself half-Persian it had special meaning, and the monasteries at the top of the rock formed mountains are incredible and left me in awe. It began snowing lightly which gave it that much more of a magical expericlence. The tour ends with a dinner at a restaurant owned by the tour company in Athens where I had traditional Greek food.Written January 12, 2025

We visited Delphi, Meteora and had dinner at traditional Greek restaurant with amazing food. At the end of the tour he gave my family a wonderful gift. - j22t0 contributionsWonderful long dayWe really wanted to see these locations and it didn't make sense to go on multiple day trips from Athens, so we were so thankful for the opportunity to fit it all into one day. Paddy was our driver. He was very informative and kind. Unfortunately we were so tired from so much travel that we fell asleep during the drives and missed some info. I would recommend fitting this into a multiple day excursion if possible, but otherwise this is a welcome option.Written January 4, 2025

The weather was rainy as this is winter- but Paddy thought through the itinerary so that we maximized the visits to Delphi, Meteora and Thermopylae. Truly a memorable trip. Paddy our tour guide was on time and super courteous exemplifying the Greece hospitality to visitors a cultural distinction that dates back to Ancient Greek times. His enthusiasm for showing us around was only exceeded by his deep knowledge of the history. He never once rushed us and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the sites despite this being a very aggressive schedule. Our family came out of the tour learning about so much Ancient Greek history without which our appreciation of the sites like Delphi and Meteora would be muted. We learnt about the Persian, Roman, Ottaman empires and WWII and how it shaped modern day Greece. The drive to Delphi and its surrounding was spectacular. Meteora is mind blowing. It exceeded any and all expectations we had on how breathtakingly beautiful not only the area but the monasteries itself. All in all Paddy made this trip the most memorable one for us. Chose this tour the late evening prior to our cruise arrival the following morning, I worried it might make things a little concerning but was pleasantly surprised by the arrangements, Mr Spyros was waiting at ship side for us, he was extremely polite, knowledgeable and helpful. We only had limited time in port so wanted to make the best of it, not waiting for buses to load, ticket lines, stuck in traffic, etc. it proved to be a great choice, allowed us to see a great deal of the city in a short time and was very enjoyable, capped with a wonderful local lunch, drinks and gifts for the wife, Mr Spyros exceeded our expectations. This same journey booked through the cruise line was substantially more so in this case money well spent. Thanks to Mr Spyros and Theodores Travel for a great experience.

Spiros Rapsomanikis from Athens Taxi Service arrived to pick us up at the hotel. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, safe driver and accommodating. HIs English was excellent and easy to understand. Spiros explained what our itinerary would be and gave us the opportunity to modify the plan and to adjust the timetable at each stop. Lunch was included in the tour price and consisted of 10 seafood dishes and was delicious. Good job Spiros!

Our tour guide, Sebastian was excellent. He is a very personable, respectful and knowledgeable young man who takes pride in his country and its history. He relayed many historical facts and stories during our time in the car, and then we were on our own to enjoy the sights at our own pace. We did encounter rain during our tour through no fault of the tour operator of course, but Sebastian was prepared and provided us with umbrellas. He was able to tailor the tour to our personal prefences and was more than willing to give us more time to see things when requested. The meal that capped off our tour at a local greek restaurant was outstanding! We were able to enjoy many greek flavours, in fact, there was more food than we could eat. This tour is so much better than hopping on a bus with 40 other people and following a guide around. Highly recommended.

We do not recommend this experience. It’s a yellow cab that drives you to the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum and the Panatheniac Stadium. We walked around the Acropolis by ourselves after waiting in a very long line to get in. He picks you up after you are done with each location which you explore by yourself. We skipped lunch and asked him to drive us to another site. There is no tour; the driver said he is not a tour guide and had very limited information. We could’ve walked to these our sites ourselves or paid a lot less for a couple of Ubers. At the very least, they should include the price of admission for the Acropolis (30 Euros each) and the Museum (15 Euros each). It was an extreme waste of $350.

George was great! Had an excellent private tour with him, just my wife and I. Comfortable car, great historical facts and details, very friendly and helpful, always at the pickup spots and always attentive to our needs. Visited all the main spots with a very customizable itinerary, able to change the route as we needed. We found that George gives you the perfect amount of information, enough to learn a lot but actually retain the facts and not an overload, as we have experienced in some tours! He also adds in humor throughout the day, which makes it a blast! We would highly recommend this tour!

Spiros showed us an excellent variety of sights both in Piraeus and Athens. Stops along the way for photos, Acropolis Museum, Acropolis, temple of Zeus and several more features were well-timed and well-narrated by our guide. To top it all off, there was an amazing seafood lunch at a neighborhood restaurant that Spiros recommended. He was very attentive and sincere, offering to help with a myriad of questions. As we are older and mildly hearing impaired, we only wish we could have understood more of his commentary.

We had a fantastic day out driving around and visiting the the fantastic history of Athens, our driver Spiros tsilis was amazing, he would pull up the car right out front of the places visiting, very informative, could stay as long or as short as we wanted at places, was no pressure to wait around for others as it was a private tour, spiros was a lovely guy, very polite and made the day fantastic! At the end of the history tour we went to a local Greek restaurant and had some outstanding genuine local food which was great! Would highly recommend this, and if you could get Spiros Tsilis as a driver, your day will be even better!

I would highly recommend this experience if you are traveling to Athens and want to see all of the sights and learn about the city. George was incredibly helpful, taught us a lot and gave us an amazing overview of the city. What a tour this was! Sebastian was fantastic with us. He has an amazing knowledge of ancient and modern history and the tour itinerary he took us on was first class. Kept us refreshed with plenty of cold water and local restaurant that he took us to was so good, we were gutted we couldn’t finish all the food , there was so much! Would highly recommend this tour and Sebastian in particular, this ticks all the boxes of the popular tourist attractions in a comfortable air conditioned luxury car. Thank you Sebastian, great tour!
