While on our recent trip to Athens we took the Plaka Sunset tour with Greek Cocktails. We found it particularly interesting, and not only was our guide Vanessa charming and informative, she took us to areas with fascinating history and breathtaking views at sunset. We never would have found the spots in Plaka on our own. Not to mention the cocktails she selected were unique and delicious!

This tour was a great choice for myself and 11yr old son. We first had a guided tour of the museum which kept him engaged with every exhibit. His questions were answered in an easy to understand manner. Afterwards the tour included a guided tour through the nearby gardens. This was also great. The guide gave us a lot of history about Athens and was able to answer any questions we had. She also was able to adapt the tour to our interests and ages.

Athina the managing director was amazing at helping me plan the prefect private tour to see as many of the amazing sights of Athens in just one day. She communicated all options available and even customized the trip to meet some of my needs including airport transfer which I would highly recommend as it made our trip after a long flight an easy pleasant experience. The driver and vehicle who took us on the tour were prompt, professional and fun, our tour director for the day was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, fun and absolutely dedicated to making sure we had the best day ever. The private tour was so well organized that the day flew by and was simply amazing when I look back at all that we were able to see and experience and with no worries or stress to see all that we wanted to. I simply cannot say enough about how well done, professional and fun this experience was and I would not hesitate to recommend ir book again for a future trip. You cannot go wrong with this professional group who is dedicated to making this our best trip ever!

We absolutely loved our tour! It was a great way to see all of the city highlights in a private, efficient way! Not only did we do the acropolis but we went by parliament, the Olympic stadium and then we ended the tour going through various markets such as the meat market, fish market and veggie market. Then we went to a market where they sell fresh spices and we had a light tasting/lunch. It was fabulous! It was the perfect amount of history entering without feeling like it was too much.

My husband and I had a wonderful time with Katerina. She met us right in our hotel lobby which was really nice. She is from Athens and very informative on the history, culture and architecture. She showed us how the Greek drink their coffee, and gave us some Greek coffee to take home with us. She even let us stop and shop for some spices and olives which was really nice since our time in Athens was limited and we wouldn't have been able to do that otherwise. It's a nice walk, the food was wonderful and we just really enjoyed spending time with her. It was really a great experience. Would recommend 100%. Thanks Katerina!

This was a fantastic and very informative tour! Anyone interested in the history of science, technology and knowledge will enjoy this a lot. The elements of Air, Water, etc., were not just philosophical abstracts but principles to be understood and manipulated through physics to great effect! Our tour guide Eva was especially enthusiastic and wonderful.

Our tour went to a slightly rough start because there was a mix up on the hotel (they were waiting in the hotel next door), but that got straightened out quickly. Our guide, Aurora, was very knowledgeable with the sights and the history of Athens, with no questions unanswered. Visiting the Acropolis and the museum was just amazing - it's also good that there weren't a lot of crowds this time of the year. Aurora was very good at cautioning us where to walk and not to walk, and we truly appreciate that she took care of us up to the time when we asked her for lunch recommendations. Thank you!

Excellent tour. Guide, Theadora, was great, very knowledgable and friendly. So covenient with driver to get us to sites. Could have been a few others but turned out to be just the two of us. Really nice. Really enjoyed the Museum. She got us through all the highlights with lots of background. we liked seeing Museums before seeing some of the actual sites.

If you like history and food, this tour with Katerina is definitely a must-do! My teen son and I enjoyed this tour and it was a lovely way to kick off our stay in Athens. We loved exploring, learning, and trying new foods. Sometimes navigating the market can be intimidating, but Katerina showed us the way. Now I feel like going home to make a Greek dinner!

I had a great experience touring Athens with Katarina! She taught me so much about Athens ancient and modern history, Neo-classical architecture in the city, and of course the culture around FOOD in Athens! If you're interested in food, history, and/or architecture, you will love this tour! I especially loved being able to walk through the local markets and tastings lots of delicious foods and drinks along the way. Katarina even picked out some goodies to send me home with — fresh ground Greek coffee, olives, and little desserts! Thanks for the wonderful tour!

Thoroughly enjoyed this great tour around the Acropolis Rock and its glorious surroundings. Nancy and Specialty Tours Greece were professional and hospitable like no other experience we had in Greece and we very strongly recommend a tour with this company to whomever visits Athens. Truly interesting and warm talks with our guide, too, who took the extra step of making us feel very welcome in her country. My family and I took a tour with this greatly organized company. Everything was perfectly set up and our guide, Nancy, probably the best Greece will ever have to tell its story through the ages and make a visitor feel the best greek hospitality. We were ever so happy and enthusiastic to listen to her, be in her company and much more than feel, completely get into the 3000 years of history of the area we had the privilege to explore with her precious guidance.
