The Hiking Tour Island Hopper Tour was such a well-organized intermediate-level hiking trip with super-knowledgeable guides, comfortable accommodations and impeccable attention to detail. We loved the family-style approach to dining at each restaurant, where our guide ordered the local specialties for us all to share! Our guide was so kind with a wonderful sense of humor! Truly a trip of a lifetime.

Amazing trip with everything perfectly arranged for us. Just 2 couples guided by Archelaos who was spectacular! Besides his knowledge and passion for his job, he was also fun and enjoyable to be with as this was a 9 day custom trip. He chose most of the restaurants and even ordered for us so we could try all the different local Greek foods, with some input from us which was a good blend. Started in Athens, then ferry to Tinos, Naxos, Santorini then flew to Delphi, Meteora and on to Litochoro before we climbed Mt Olympus. Loved every minute and would highly recommend Aegean as they were easy to work with and very detailed.

We found this tour company when searching for outdoor adventure travel in October. We had never thought of Greece for hiking, but we made the right decision. We booked a private tour during the end of their season. We had the best time. We left a little piece of our heart in Greece. Their tour was very well organized. The accommodations were great. We had a scheduling conflict with the first day of the tour and Aegean Outdoors was so accommodating and made sure we got to see everything at the end of the tour that we missed at the beginning. In September 2024 we did the Mount Olympus Expedition (2 days / 1 night) to the summit of Mytikas. It’s difficult to put into words how incredible this trip was, you have to see it for yourself to understand. But what I can discuss is how amazing Aegean outdoors were, from our initial enquiry we had regular contact with the team, they answered any questions that we had very quickly and gave us so much confidence in them immediately. During the trip our guide was called Aggelos. Aggelos was absolutely brilliant, from his knowledge and experience of the mountain, his hiking and climbing tips, and his incredibly friendly demeanour. We absolutely could not have asked for a better guy to have spend these two days with, we feel incredibly lucky! If you are looking for a guide to take to up to Olympus or any of the other trips they offer, I would 100% recommend using Aegean.

Our Greek Island Hopper Tour with Aegean Outdoors experience was the perfect mixture of hiking, swimming, cooking, and kayaking adventures, heightened with laughter, rest, tasty meals and the beautiful marvels of Greece. The tour exceeded my expectations, and it was an amazing vacation for us. The trip was well organized, excellent value for the money. We were supported from the moment we arrived until we departed at the Athens airport. Our tour guide, Archelaos, was great company, very knowledgeable, and was able to navigate the Greek travel arrangements including hotels, restaurants, hiking paths, kayaking, ferries, and flights, with ease. Archelaos lead us along the Athens, Tinos, Naxos and Santorini hikes which were an exploration across the modern and historical Greek paths. Our delicious meals and cooking class sampled the Cycladic cuisine, and our beach swims and Santorini sunset kayaking trip was unforgettable too. Our hotels were well appointed in each location. Our adventure was true to the Aegean Outdoors tour description. I have already highly recommended Aegean Outdoors to my family and friends!

My daughter and I went on a two day hiking tour up Mount Olympus with Aegean Outdoors. They were fantastic! They were speedy in their replies to my questions in the weeks leading up to the tour and checked in via email and WhatsApp the day before. Giannis, our guide, was kind and knowledgeable. They chose the best route and a small, friendly refuge for us. Our guide knew all the workers on the mountain well and helped us navigate everything from the trails to the refuges. He was also a very safe and knowledgeable rock climber, so we were in good hands (and with helmets, harnesses and ropes provided) for the final ascent to the summit. If you want the full and safe experience on Mt. Olympus without having to worry about doing any planning yourself, this is the company for you!

My sister-in-law and I went on the Greek Island Hopping tour with Aegean Outdoors. It was such a well organized trip, and we were in excellent hands with our guide Archelaos. He was amazing and it was such a pleasure spending time with him. We did hikes on Tinos, Naxos and Santorini. They also arranged sunset kayaking and cooking lessons which were both so much fun. The accommodations were very good, and the food was outstanding. It was such a great value for the money that we spent. I would definitely recommend this organization!

Nondas with Aegean Outdoors along with Michelle were amazing! We had a custom hiking tour that included 4 other participants starting in Athens then to Meteora and continuing onto Tinos, Naxos and ending in Santorini. We can't rave enough about these Guides' knowledge, attention to detail and fun entertainment. The accommodations were wonderful and restaurants and added activities were fabulous and memorable. My husband and I highly recommend them and if you are planning to hike in Greece, look no further! Barb

I typically am a DIY family trip planner. This time I focused my research on finding a small, local company that could make the trip even better. I was trying to get the feel of being hosted by relatives and less about checking the boxes on a large tour. Nondas and Aegean Outdoors (AO) delivered on all counts. I had 2 WhatApp calls with Nondas as I explained what I hoped to create on this trip with my adult daughter. We found a way to add 2 nights in Kastraki for Meteora on the front end of Greek Island Hopper. Loved the choice of islands (Tinos, Naxos and Santorini) GREAT DECISION!! The other things that made such a difference are the AO handpicked restaurants, lodging, olive oil tasting, cooking class, sea kayaking and travel logistics. Of course the hikes were amazing and trails I would never find on my own! The biggest unexpected highlight: Sitting down to eat family style lunch and dinner with Nondas, Mariza (a great guide in training) and 2 other couples who joined us on the trip. Nondas and Mariza always got together, reviewed the menu, took into account our food preferences and ordered for the group. This meant the best menu items at each of the small local places that AO knows appeared almost magically. As good as the food was on this trip, I can hardly imagine what it would be on the Greek Gastronomy trip. If Nondas is your guide have him help with wine selections. He really has a passion. And Mariza is a great photographer and will help you get the perfect photo. I will recommend Aegean Outdoors to all of my active travel friends who are looking to visit Greece. Who knows.. I may even return with my wife for an extended trip to Crete and or hike to Mt Olympus!!
