Your personal driver will pick you up and return you to the same place or to the point you prefer. In case of a hotel, he will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby. We were able to adjust locations and the timing of all activities based on our interests and schedule. This is a benefit of a private tour. We were not “stuck” in a crowded bus on someone else’s timetable. However, the best thing about the trip was our guide and driver, Costa. His excitement about the tour and the details on everything we saw was so interesting. We learned so many things about Greek history, language, culture and architecture. He made sure we were all delivered as close as possible to the handicap access of the local tourist attractions, gave us a wealth of information about Greece- the history, the buildings, the city, and took us to the most beautiful places for pictures and memories. Costa is very attentive, set a good pace & made good timing for the tour. Ancient Olympia is one of the many marvels of historical importance. Probably could have benefited from a guide, but waking the sight was fine for us. Enjoyed a nice lunch at Ambrosia Restaurant, located on site. Costa took us to the Olympic Stadium in Athens before returning us to our hotel. Very nice experience!Written October 1, 2024

- OnAir7742840 contributionsOlympiaMy wife and I went to Olympia from by the Athens airport for a one day trip. Our driver was Costandino. The trip is 3.5 hours each way. Costa made the trip go by quick as he was knowledgeable in Greek myth, Greek history and knowledge of each area we passed through. He also has knowledge of American film and rock music. His renditions of famous phrases from movies were as good as any Americans. We had a great time. Olympia was amazing also. Costa also put us on a good restaurant that had great dolmades. I highly recommend Costa as a tour driver.Written September 25, 2024

This trip is definitely one of the most stimulating tours we have ever taken. The archeological site is enormous and the museum is very cool. Many discoveries await a novice and a history buff alike. The transportation provided is of the highest quality, the vehicle is new, in perfect order and 2 hour drive passes by as a scenery tour into the mountainous part of the country. Our driver was Tom and he made every effort to turn our trip into an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Tom! Greece will forever live in our hearts.

Visiting the Temple of Apollo is a must when in Greece. Getting to Delphi from Athens is a little tricky but that is where the amazing staff at My Athens Transfers step in. Our driver, Tom, was the perfect guide for our drive up to Delphi. We were picked up on time, received a very warm welcome, enjoyed a traditional Greek meal and had a wonderful day exploring Delphi and its surroundings.
Tom made the drive to and from Athens extremely enjoyable. He took time to teach us about Greece, allowed us to relax in the back seat and play all of our favorite tunes. He’s a top lad!
We have made a life long friend in Tom and hope to see him again.

George was an amazing driver for our group's day trip from Athens to Delphi. He was punctual, professional, and friendly. He picked us up from our Airbnb and we went first to the Monastery of Osios Loukas, then onto Delphi, then grabbed lunch at an authentic Greek restaurant that he recommended to us. We stopped by Arachova on the way back and made it back to Athens for a day of about 10 hours.
George's knowledge of Greek history and culture and his sense of humor made the drive go by much faster. We really appreciated how George was accommodating. He didn't once rush us, and encouraged us to go and enjoy the sites at our own pace. It felt like we had the freedom of having our own car, but none of the challenges. I highly recommend My Athens Transfers and George, and would certainly give them my business next time I visit Greece.

Our driver/guide, Panos, was the best. Full of knowledge and facts, and really good communicator and fun. He was very considerate, and nothing was any problem for him. Made the day for us.
The Delphi tour is great, start as late as 10am, longish drive, but Panos made the time pass fast. The history and mythology is amazing. To think these temples were built 1500bc! Wow.
Totally recommend the tour, and esp recommend Panos. If we had more time in Athens, would defo use them/him again...
Family of four, private minivan, was £321. Whole day, well worth it....

This was a full day Delphi private tour from Athens which included a wonderful lunch overlooking the mountains,village all the way to the lake. Be prepared for a considerable walk through the ruins of the Apollo temple and the Athena temple which was a separate stop. The museum was very good as it housed so many of the artifacts removed from the sites. Notis, our guide was an excellent driver through heavy traffic, picking us up at our hotel. He filled the hours of driving with Grecian history along with tying in the origins of our own language!

Would highly recommend this tour. George our driver was very friendly, knowledgeable, courteous and accommodating. The route to Delphi took us through some scenic countryside. George gave us information on areas we passed through and also told us about the ancient history applicable to our trip. We thoroughly enjoyed the sites and Museum at Delphi and the photo stops along the way. The lunch stop was perfect and time to explore the beautiful Village of Arahova was appreciated. Thank you George for a great tour and making our visit to Delphi memorable.

Panos was the BEST driver/tour guide we’ve ever had. It was like just talking with a friend. He kept conversation and us entertained throughout the entire drive to and from Delphi which was great because that would’ve been an awkward car ride otherwise. He explained a lot of the things we were seeing as we drove and even stopped at the sanctuary of Athena for us to check out. We had plenty of time to explore Delphi on our own which was nice. There was no rush to get done by a certain time. Afterwards he took us to the cutest taverna in the city of Delphi that overlooked the valley towards the ocean which was breathtaking. The food was amazing there as well. He then let us walk through the city of Arachova which was also just as amazing and had cute little shops to find souvenirs and locally made items. Overall it was an amazing experience and Panos is to thank for that. We learned a lot and saw a lot more than we expected and appreciated Panos’ knowledge of Greek history. We would definitely do this again!

A wonderful day out to explore the magical remains of ancient Delphi. Our driver George was charming and a pleasure to spend the drive with. He was knowledgable and easy to talk to. Myathenstransfers also set up a local Delphi guide who spent 2.5 hours with us. She was excellent.
Lunch at a family run restaurant chosen by George with delicious food and amazing views capped a great day. Many thanks for organising this.

This tour was wonderful!! Our guide Aris was super friendly, very knowledgeable about the history of the site, and extremely accommodating. Aris took us to the site and museum, a great local restaurant for lunch, and also a lovely little town close by. We had a very nice talk during our ride to and from Delphi, and the whole day was great! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to go to Delphi without having to go with a large tourist group.

This trip was the highlight of our time in Greece! Our guide Alex navigated the city and mountain roads expertly and safely. He took us to all the Delphi sites, making sure we had plenty of time to linger and soak up the experience. He was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us a lot of history as we drove. He had no problem locating a restaurant that met our dietary needs (vegan; nut allergy) and reserved a table for us that had a stunning view of the valley. We also made several stops to see the mountain towns and do a little shopping. Alex was the best! We highly recommend this tour!

We have a flight at 8pm out of Athens. If we leave at 8am would we be back in time for that?

That depends on where you are flying to. If you need 3 hrs then no. But usually you'd get back around 5-6
