Thursday night was a bit quiet not being in peak season, but the guides were still great and engaging, in which my friend and I had a blast. The Friday night was an awesome experience too with a larger crowd in which the group was brought together and everyone mingled with each other and got along great. The guide was terrific with great knowledge of local bars and guidance around town. Athens is a beautiful city but finding the top spots can be difficult on your own. The guide also assisted me in ordering a taxi at the end of the night, getting me to my destination which was much appreciated. Will certainly be back in Athens and would love to come back with more friends and do this tour again :) Rick

Horrible experience altogether. Brought us to 3 places, one was a roof of a hostel where someone gave beer out of a can, one was barely big enough to fit the group…. Value for money as well it was very bad where all we got was 2 shots + beer from a can… definitely NOT recommended

The three venues you have to go to are a bar which is dead without this tour, a hostel roof top bar, and then a club that has a tiny dance floor. Feels like the venue's have been chosen to maximise profits and not for the most fun.
It took us 15 minutes to walk from the hostel bar to the club which isn't particularly great. When you get to the club it takes you a good 10 minutes to get a drink or your free shot, a lot of people gave up and left.
It was good to meet some new people but I would say I wouldn't have bothered had I realised what you get for your money.

I regret booking this. When there are single travelers that are present, group sizes like this shouldn’t be more than 12 people at most. Too easy to get lost in the shuffle. I’ve been on other pub crawls in other cities which were much more fun, but the group size was smaller, making it easy for everyone to interact. The guide basically led us to a few places but there was very little interaction besides that. Mostly the rest of the people there were in small groups, so if you’re on the tour as a single traveler, you’re out of luck. The first bar we went to was virtually impossible to get a drink. The drinks looked good, but there were only two bartenders and I clocked them at about 5 minutes to make one drink. I stood in “line” for half an hour before finally giving up. After about an hour and a half I finally decided to just go home.
Their idea of a “free shot” is just pineapple juice in a shot glass. And I’m very sensitive to the taste of alcohol. I didn’t choose to go on this tour because I wanted to get wasted. Rather, I wanted to know a few good bars to go to and maybe get a few recommendations on some local beers so I could take some home to family. That didn’t happen.
All in all, NOT recommended, unless you are a group that wants to be led to a few bars but otherwise do your own thing. If you’re a single traveler, I’d reconsider. They need to hire more guides, reduce the group size, and reconsider the bars.

Just for you to know, we offer several pub crawl options, like the "Speakeasy & Alternative Bar Crawl", or the "Premium Nightlife Experiencel" that offer a small-group & total fun experience. You should consider these options or contact us to arrange a custom experience in the future, because from your review it seems like our "Original Pub Crawl" tour is not the perfect match for you.

It was nice to meet all the people, but be prepared to go to only 3 places where the last one is night club. If you like loud music than this is for you. If you want to socialize, you can only do that in first two bars. Even there music is so loud you need to go out on a street to hear each other. And be prepared to pay around 10€ more as in first bar you get the list of cocktails all priced above 10€ and then you get 1€ discount on those. Although initially nobody in our group was sure, if cocktails cost 1€ or you just get 1€ off from the price listed. Generally experience was ok.

Really waist of time and money.
Really a shame that in the such a place where so many great bars to take the people to such horrible places.
The first bar was regular bar but with high prices mostly cocktails with 10 euro each 1 euro discount only. The second place doesn't deserve to be called a bar. It was a rooftop of some hostel with a guy that gave us beers that he bought at cans from the supermarket. Or a sangria that was just awful. No even a draft beer. The place was empty before we, the tour arrived. The last place was so small that we couldn't even enter all of us. Not really a dance bar just a place With a bar a 2 square meets place.
I don't know for what we paid 25 euros. Got 2 shots and beer from A can from them. But the waisted time is even more painful.

The beginning seemed promising. They had three guides, one of them gave an introduction to the bars we would go to and it sounded fun. The group was also quite big and diverse.
We ended up in two vars and one club. The first bar was really loud, was difficult to have a conversation. The guides just put us there for one hour and expected us to drink as much as possible (we had to pay for the drinks). There was no interaction at all with the guides. No stories about Athens nightlife, no drinking games, nothing. The second bar at least had an outside area where it was possible to talk and inside they had a decent dance floor.
As soon as the guides brought us to the club they said goodbye.
It felt very uninspired and the bars were not that great.
If it wasn't for the other participants it would have been a boring night

Did this tour on a Wednesday and was an unexpected experience! We were with a group of more than 40 people from all around the world. Amazing cocktails at the 1st stop, then we had a great view of acropolis at a rooftop bar where he had 1 hour unlimited beer! Finished at a great party. The guides were really helpful and friendly. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to have some real fun and meet new people when in Athens

My friends and I were only in Athens for one night and this pub crawl gave us a great overview of the Nightlife in Athens. Each pub was unique and offered great value for the price of the tour. George and Gregory were phenomenal guides!

Agree with most of the other reviews. This was really something for us to just occupy time. Included drinks weren’t good at the first place and you have to pay for something decent.
The second place is small but it’s nice that the sangria and beer are free for an hour.
The third place was the largest but very empty on the night we went.
Tour guide didn’t interact with the group much but we all seemed to manage socializing with each other without her.

Highly highly recommend both the pub crawl and the folks running it!! Went to a couple of fun bars, there was a big, friendly international crowd and the guides were always checking in on us and making sure we were safe and having a good time.
In fact, I lost my wallet and they went WAY WAY out of their way to get in touch with me afterwards. Extremely grateful for the selfless and fun team running this tour.

How long does this tour last? Is it a good idea if we have to get up for a 5hr day tour the next day? We’re in our 40’s lol.
