Highlights included checking out the rooftop bar at our Athens hotel on day one to find it offered a stunning view of the Acropolis, which we toured with an expert guide the following day; spending time on the Venetian seaport in Chania, Crete, and relaxing at The Tanneries in our exceptional accommodations; beholding the Instagram-worthy sights of Santorini and marveling at the legendary sunsets; discovering the rich history and fabulous food culture on Naxos and enjoying an authentic Greek beach experience on the island. The Be A Greek operations team guided us through every stop on our journey, pairing us with knowledgeable guides and ensuring that we never waited for transportation to take us from one point to the next. We visited Athens, Mykonos and Santorini. Be a Greek coordinated everything…hotels, transfers, guided tours, two boat excursions, travel between islands by air and high speed ferry, etc. We had a very busy eight day agenda and it went off flawlessly. Hotels and excursions were fantastic. If we ever needed to reach Be a Greek, a team member responded immediately, regardless of the time of day. We highly recommend their services.

This was an absolute highlight of our European trip with young kids (ages 7+3). The kids warmed to our tour guide (Alexandra) right away and enjoyed the 4 hour walking trip and retained soooo much information. It was a lovely balance of learning the Greek Mythology (as an adult I even really valued this part and don’t think we would have learned about the mythology as well from other tours), playing lovely age appropriate games, enjoying a great coffee (drinks for the kids) in a beautiful cafe patio and there was even enough time to get distracted along the way (cats, musicians, bubbles) without feeling rushed. The kids loved the ‘escape room’ approach - this also helped to keep them focused, and due to having to ‘work’ for their treasure they truly valued that too. Special shout out to Alexandra who was truly wonderful, informative, kind, patient and professional.

Hands down, one of our favorite tours. My husband is a fan of stoic philosophy so I originally booked this for him but I loved it too. Bianca was warm, knowledge and also an excellent story teller. You learn a lot about history, philosophy, and Athens - a perfect combination that leaves you feeling informed and inspired. Highly recommend for anyone interested in learning more about these disciples or the city itself!

We had absolutely the most amazing 4 days of touring with Be a Greek. I can't say enough good things about the organization and the personal attention we got from Dimitrios (one of the founders), the perfect personalized itinerary, the amazing tour guide (Eli Kritharaki) and driver (Thanos) we had, the wonderful hotels where we stayed, and the incredible introduction to Greece and its classic sites we experienced. This was really the experience of a lifetime for us and even though our tour around the Peloponnese, Delphi, and the Acropolis area in Athens was followed by a 10-day cruise, the time we spent with Eli and Thanos was absolutely the highlight of our trip. There were too many great things to rave about that it would take many paragraphs to complete this review. Eli was incredibly knowledgeable, answered every conceivable question for us, and took us to all the right spots in Mycenae, Epidaurus, Ancient Olympia, and Delphi, always accommodating our needs and our physical limitations. The places Eli and Thanos recommended for dinners were great (especially eating incredibly fresh fish in the marina in Patras, right on the beach, while watching the sun set) and the two boutique hotels where they put us up in Nafpoli (Regno Di Morea) and Patras (Bold Type Hotel) were beautiful, with wonderful breakfasts and warm, attentive service. Dora, our guide for the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum in Athens, was also totally wonderful. We simply could not recommend a group of people and their company more highly. We will be telling all of our friends who ever want to go to Greece to contact Be a Greek immediately and work with Dimitrios to create the perfect itinerary. And we can't wait to go back and do some more touring with Be a Greek!

Our family loved the 4 hour private walking tour. Our guide was fun, patient and knowledgeable. We learned a lot but also enjoyed playing games and having ice cream and coffee.

The tour was amazing. Private tour. Very relaxed and at our pace. The highlight though was our tour guide Bianca. She was so polite, accommodating and kind throughout the experience. Would strongly recommend this tour to others.

We did our tour with Niki and our young girls 6 and 9, she was so kind, engaging, and sweet with our girls. They enjoyed the games and activities. Highly recommend doing this tour with young kids, only way to keep them walking. Particularly on a hot day. Niki was so knowledgeable, and most important, great with young kids!

We had such an amazing tour with Antonia. Our kids 6,8,10 absolutely loved it. It was catered to them and they were so engaged. The history and pace of the tour was awesome. Highly recommend.

We and my 8 year old had a fabulous time! He was so engaged in the mythological stories, history, games, and bright energy of our guide he did not even notice how hot it was outside. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, switched seamlessly between sharing stories with my son and historical details with the adults, and kept up with my son’s inquisitive energy effortlessly! Highly recommend this tour for families!!

Nicki was an amazing guide! She made the day so much fun for our kids! She played games with them, had activities for them to do, raced them in the Olympic stadium, taught them to write their name in Greek, and more! It was the highlight of our trip! Highly recommend!

Outstanding tour, Antonia was very engaging and patient with the kids. Hard to believe three young kids could do a four-hour walking tour of Greece in the summer, but they didn’t complain once and told us it was the highlight of their day. Highly recommend!

We had an absolute amazing time with Niki, she was kind, patient and lots of fun for the kids! The games were a highlight that made the kids fall in love with the city.
