      Peleponnese Fortress Tour
An excellent tour of fortresses in the Peloponnese which also took in many of the classical sites. Our guide Eric organised the tour, hotel airport transfers, and advised on other sights so we really had nothing to do but enjoy the experience. already looking forward to another trip with him again.

Fortress Study Group tour Peloponnese May 2019
Eric Cauchi, representing Eternal Greece, was one of the main people respionsible for organising the tour for about 40 people. He paid great attention to detail both before and during the trip and on the tour nothing was too much trouble. I would not hesitate to go on future Eternal Greece tours.

      A Wonderful Trip
We traveled through the Peloponnese with the Fortress Study Group on a 10 day tour organized by Eternal Greece Ltd. We visited a mix of sites from classical and pre-history, through Venetian and Ottoman times. This mix gave us a picture of the breadth of Greek history instead of just a single slice of time which we much appreciated. We had an excellent archaeologist guide and an excellent driver. Eric Cauchi, the proprietor of Eternal Greece, travelled with us as the tour director and trouble-shooter in chief. His own passion for archaeology and for his country added to the trip experience. The hotels he booked for us were excellent, all very clean and comfortable, with friendly staff and most on the sea with beautiful views. The restaurants he selected for our meals served delicious traditional Greek food family style, far superior to what one might expect for a group meal. Having never been to Greece before, we came into Athens 4 days early. We had many pre-trip questions which Eric always answered very promptly. He assisted us with several aspects of our planning before we set foot in Greece. He booked an Athens hotel in an excellent location for us and arranged airport transports which worked perfectly. When we decided to do a day-trip to Delphi and asked if he could recommend some companies for us to contact, he responded with the name and cost of a group tour company with pros/cons and the offer of arranging a private driver and guide for us with pros/cons. He also offered to, and subsequently did, email the rest of the group participants to see if anyone might be interested in sharing the private tour to bring down the costs. The driver and guide Eric arranged were very professional, tailored the day to our interests, and made the day a wonderful memory for us. When, as part of our planning, we decided that we might like to use our free time on the last evening of the Peloponnese tour to see an additional site some distance away from our hotel on our own, we emailed Eric to enquire as to whether time-wise this might be feasible and if we would have trouble finding a taxi to take us and wait. Eric advised that renting a car would be better. We expressed concern about finding a car rental place that would be open till 9:00 p.m. on a Sunday evening. Eric responded within hours with contact information for a rental location around the corner from our hotel that would be open till 9 p.m. Eric’s level of service was superb. We would travel again on a trip arranged by Eternal Greece and we definitely recommend Eternal Greece.

Peleponnese Fortress Tour for the Fortress Study Group
A well-organised bespoke tour that went very smoothly. Our Tour Guide Eric was very professional in his approach to what was a demanding tour for both the organiser and the participants; due to the requirements of the FSG, with a significant number of hours spent in a coach (with an amazing driver Argyris). Eric had obviously spent considerable effort choosing hotels and restaurants; which was no mean feat given the size of the party and their various requirements. He coped admirably with an emergency when one of the members required hospital treatment in the small hours, transported her there and waited while she was treated. Very little sleep for Eric that night. In all, Eternal Greece did a professional and very competent job, assisted by his son Ken and including hiring a knowledgeable guide Romylos, who helped enhance our background knowledge of all we visited. We would have no hesitation recommending Eternal Greece to all.

      Eternally grateful
Eternal Greece organised a tour of the Peloponnese for the Fortress Study Group and a number of people with similar interests. We numbered 38 people and travelled around in an air-conditioned Pullman coach in some comfort. Our primary interests were the Venetian Fortresses of the Peloponnese, including Neo Navarino, Korone, Methone and of course the great fortifications of Nafplio. En route we visited a number of classical sites, such as the ancient city of Messine, Olympia, Mistra, Monemvasia etc. Eternal Greece had an exceptionally knowledgeable archaeologist providing some commentaries and guiding on some sites. Eric, the owner, provided more commentaries; even better, he provided some publicity and helped organise a Government / Local Government presentation when the group was in Nafplion. It was, in more ways than one, a 'tour de force' and one which I hope will remain in the memories of the participants for years to come. I cannot praise Eternal Greece enough for their attention to detail, logistical preparations and the very great care exercised over all the participants. I strongly recommend that anyone wanting to explore this part of the world should consider using the services of Eternal Greece.

A Peaceful Historical Visit to the Corinthian Countryside
I was privileged to have a privately guided to the beautifully peaceful Lake Stymphalia. My guide was Eric Cauchi, whose knowledge of history and ecology created a stimulating conversation as we drove from Athens. Arriving at the lake, we began with the interesting displays in the museum detailing the evolution of the lake over the centuries and the efforts to preserve its natural environment. A hike through the meadows to the edge of the lake with flowers in bloom and the musical calls of the birds provided a restful antidote to the pressures of travel. The ruins of the Temple of Zeus at Nemea and the adjacent fairly recently excavated stadium were a fascinating reminder of how the entire country of Greece contains remnants of the golden age of Greece. Rounding out the day was an authentic multi-course Greek meal in a small family-owned restaurant in Nemea complimented by outstanding wine. I spent three weeks traveling Greece and Italy and my day with Eric ranks among my best experiences--certainly my most relaxing.

9 days Self-Drive The Peloponnese + 3 nights in Athens
Just completed 12 day self-drive itinerary planned by Eric Cauchi of Eternal Greece. His personalized service booking the hotels and renting the car made this mother-daughter trip easy and enjoyable. His attentiveness to our interests and responsiveness to our suggested modifications were most appreciated. Because we were traveling off-season, his expertise helped us secure accommodations that were open in the winter. He also booked superb, professional guides for Athens city tour & the Acropolis, Delphi and Olympia. We did our research, too, so as not to miss additional adventures as we travelled through the Peloponnese. We highly recommend including The Mani in your trip and in fact would have preferred a little extra time to explore Kardamyli further and perhaps found time to go to Monemvasia. We lucked out with the weather in February, only 2 days of rain ... one on a driving day and one when we spent the day inside being pampered at the Loutraki Thermal Spa followed by an excellent meal at Taverna Efrosinos , both activities recommended by Eric. If you want a personalized trip planner/concierge, we highly recommend Eric and Eternal Greece! Efharisto, Eric!!

      Extraordinary guided museum tour
We booked Eternal Greece for a museum tour in Athens. The Guide, Mrs. Georgiou, showed us the highlights of the National Archaeological Museum and the Acropolis Museum. It was inspiring and interesting in all moments and Mrs. Georgiou had the excellent expertise to explain the history of ancient greece, so you could imagine, what was going on. It was in every aspect a extraordinary museum tour and we decided to plan our next tour in greece in cooperation with Eternal Greece. Eric Cauchi, Director of Eternal Greece gave us support in planning a peloponnese tour for September 2018 and the communication and cooperation with Eric was perfect. Eternal Greece is a young company but it is one of the best we ever had.

A stunning tour of UNESCO sites
The tour I undertook with Eternal Greece was great - we covered a large number of UNESCO sites in a relatively short space of time, with time spent at each site tailored to my interests. The accommodation also met all expectations, so all in all this was an outstanding experience from which I gained a greater appreciation of Greek history and culture. Thank you Eternal Greece.

      A memorable experience!
In May 2017, friends (3 couples) came to visit me in Greece. Although Greek myself and although I have troubled extensively in my country, I decided that a much better option than us renting cars and travelling around would be to all travel together to the archaeological sites which they were so interested to see, with a guide who could explain all the history better than I could. I had heard about Eternal Greece and so I contacted them in Greece and asked them if they could organize a trip for our little group. Well, Eric could not have organized a better tour for us. We visited all the places my friends were interested in, our guide was very knowledgeable, the hotels where we stayed could not have been better and Eric was an amazing tour leader. Everything ran smoothly and because of his love and enthusiasm for the land and the people, he made everyone fall in love with Greece. And made me even prouder of my roots than I was before!!! May was definitely a good time for travelling. Not too hot and nature so beautiful with all the flowers and fruit trees. Also not as crowded as in the summer months. We all had a wonderful time! If you are thinking of travelling to Greece, I would highly recommend the services of this excellent travel company. My idea of asking them to plan our holiday could not have been a better one. Thanks sooo much Eric!!

Wonderful Athens Museums and City Tour arranged by Eternal Greece
Mr. Eric C B Cauchi, the director of Eternal Greece arranged a superb Athens Day Tour comprising the National Archaeological Museum, a city tour, and the Acropolis Museum for my family which took approximately five hours. Mr. Cauchi personally came to our hotel promptly on schedule as arranged with an expert, highly qualified, and fluent guide, Ms. Georgia Papadoploulou, and we were transported in a comfortable chauffered air conditioned mini van for our tour. We had Mr. Cauchi's contact information so we could reach him at any time. Our guide was very friendly and informative and we enjoyed her company and scholarly presentation. She really loves what she does, and she made the trip a fascinating journey into the past, as well as the present. We would recommend Mr. Cauchi for his politeness, professional manner, and excellent care and concern that we should be happy with our tour in every respect. He also followed up to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction, which it was. Most highly recommended!

Fantastic Self-Drive Tour with Eternal Greece
My friend and I worked with Eternal Greece to book a two week self-driving tour through the Peloponnese Peninsula. We had initially tried to do this on our own but had trouble navigating many of the Greek hotel websites and figuring out how much time we needed in each location. Additionally, we had a hard time narrowing down where we wanted to go. We contacted Eric at Eternal Greece and never looked back. He was fantastic! He responded to all of our questions, even the numerous questions we had prior to even booking the trip. Not only that, his responses were almost immediate. He made great recommendations and worked with us as we described the types of sites we wanted to see and activities we want to do. Working with Eric removed the stress of booking the hotels, reserving the rental car, and deciding how long to stay at each location. Because it was a self-drive tour, we still had plenty of flexibility on-the-ground to go where we wanted, and down any detour that called to us between destinations. We were provided insights into each place we stayed, as well as tips on how to navigate the sites, the roads, and the culture. He arranged for our pick-up from the airport in Athens, was flexible when there were flight issues, arranged for our rental car pick-up and drop-off, and even met us in-person to discuss our plans once we arrived. He also continued to check-in with us during the trip, in case there were any issues. With Eric's help, we were able to visit the top ancient sites (Delphi, Athens, Olympia etc), but also fit in other towns that were off the beaten path (Loutraki, Galaxidi, and Palaia Epidavros). We were also able to include places that we wanted, specifically, based on reviews other travel sites (Monemvasia and Nafplio). Despite going to so many places, he made sure our itinerary balanced restful days with more full driving days. We never felt over-tired by our schedule. Some of the best surprises were the places we stayed that we were completely unfamiliar with prior to planning the trip with Eric. Additionally, the hotels that he arranged for us to stay were comfortable and the proprietors were friendly. While we were lucky that nothing went wrong for us on the trip, we were reassured to know that we could call Eric at any time and he would be able to help us out of any pickle. I can't recommend Eternal Greece and Eric enough. I have already recommended Eternal Greece to multiple people who would like to plan trips to Greece. If I go back, I wouldn't hesitate to book my trip with Eric.

2-Week Self-Drive Tour with Eternal Greece
Myself and a friend had been planning a trip to Greece, but were somewhat at a loss as to where exactly we should go, where to stay, and all of the little details that go into planning a trip; luckily, we found Eternal Greece! We knew we wanted to do a self-drive tour through the Peloponnese, but once we started trying to plan from there, we quickly got overwhelmed and reached out to Eternal Greece. From my initial inquiry (through the website) through follow-up emails once we returned home, Eric was extremely communicative, responding to emails and requests often within hours, even with the time difference between the US and Greece. Because of Eric and Eternal Greece, planning our trip to Greece was fun rather than stressful, with Eric taking our general travel style and “need to see” destinations and then suggesting itineraries for our 2-week trip. After picking our preferred itinerary, a few adjustments with input from ourselves and Eric, and many emails between the three of us, we were ready to head to Greece! I can’t describe how fantastic it was to have Eric handle all the little details that so often make a trip stressful. For example, rather than having to trek across Athens to pick up the rental car, Eric organized for it to be dropped off at our hotel, where he met up with us to go over details for the trip. Having Eric there meant there was someone who could read Greek to look over the rental contract with us, and give us quite a few tips and tricks for driving in Greece, as well as more general recommendations for our time in Greece. Our itinerary included several of the major “must see” destinations like the Parthenon and Archaeological museum in Athens, Corinth, Delphi, and Olympia, but also quite a few that were off the beaten path for American tourists (largely thanks to Eric’s suggestions). Our first stop outside of Athens was Loutraki, a spa town just over an hour from Athens where we had one of the best meals of the whole trip at a little restaurant Eric recommended (no menu, just whatever the chef was cooking that day!). Galaxidi was one of the stops on the trip that my friend and I were originally the least interested in, largely because we couldn’t find much information on it, but wow were we wrong. Thanks to Eric’s recommendation, we spent the night there and it ended up being our favorite stop on the trip! (I cannot recommend enough the breakfast on the patio at the Galaxa Mansion.) This theme continued throughout the trip, with recommendation after recommendation being exactly what we wanted for our vacation; often places we simply could not have found on our own, like the Canal Dive brewery outside Corinth. If you are looking to book a trip to Greece I would highly recommend Eternal Greece! I know that if I ever plan another trip to Greece, contacting Eric will be one of the first things I do.
