- jorgerP8363BY00Wonderful siteThe ride is much longer than what you'll stay visiting the site. The guide was good but overall i thought it was a bit overpriced. For two people with guide and food was $230. The food included was ok, you had three options one of them being spaghetti and saw a couple of travelers express a dislike of the food including my mom. I don't think it's worth it but looks like you have no other option as the restaurant is a bit far from other restaurants. A la carte is a better option.
- ladya20500Great organisation, I love itThe tour was great and very educational. Georgina the tour advisor was excellent, knowledgeable and helpful. She made our day great
- explorer_holly00Quick, easy combo ticketI purchased the combo ticket to avoid queueing in the ticket line as well as the entrance line at the Acropolis. I visited in July during the heat wave and early closures. You pay a little extra for this ticket (it's €30 at the office) but it was worth the extra for me (less time in the queue as they closed the site at ~12pm that day). Very straightforward to use, excellent value as I attended almost every site during my stay with the ticket.
- dermotflavin00Great ExperienceMarianna is a very informative tour guide. She was able to explain every detail that the group had and was filled with knowledge
- 158doris00Delphi DayA full day that covered 400 km to see Delphi with Marianna and our capable driver, Tomas, was a highlight of our time in Athens. The commentary was rich and filled with history, mythology and other stories. Great archaeological sites. Mount Parnassus was spectacular and the lunch was delicious. Highly recommended.
- jimrs200000Spend your time and money elsewhereHydro walls really nice. The morning service on the boat was bad. We sat in the dining room. I asked 4 different people to take our order for food and drinks. Many people were being served, but many were not. We never got any service. However, the music and dancing on the return to Port, almost made up for that. Almost. The time on the islands was short, rushed. While I would return to Hydra again, it wouldn't be on this cruise. The guides were friendly and seemed to be knowledgeable. Oh yes, I must acknowledge Thomas the piano player. He was funny. A great entertainer. I guess if the day started out better, I could have given a positive review
- A3612NJjackief00Visit to DelphiVery good and detail tour. Coach was excellent and food stop was good with choice, though would have been nice to stop in town so that we could walk around if didn't want food. Only disappointment was that we didn't stop at the Temple of ?Apollo on the roadside below Delphi which our guide told us was the most photographed but we passed it by!
- NancyG158800Great TourKosta our guide was an absolute pro. As a degreed archaeologist his love of the subject was obvious. Well organized, very professional. And what a place!
- susiem201900Terrible 1 day trip from Athens to Delphi on Sept 9.Our leader's name was Dominique for the Delphi English Day Trip from Athens on Sunday, September 9. She was absolutely the worst guide I have ever experienced and I have travelled a great deal! Many of the speakers she handed out at our first stop didn't work, Her comment about this situation was "Well. That's not my fault!" At our first stop, she left one passenger behind when we resumed our travel. When we got to the site, it was really slippery and difficult. Many of the trip members quit the hike to the top. We went to the Archeological Museum and she lectured. She then asked questions about her comments. No response as she was so difficult to understand. She was very upset that no one responded. "She commented: I cannot believe one knows the answers to these questions!" When we were leaving and she collected the microphones, she was on shirt and she was again upset. Really??? What a disappointment. She was terrible. Better luck with your other guides. ~ Susan Murphy
- Florian R00Worth itIt was my first time booking anything with TripAdvisor and I was more than satisfied with the event. The tour guide was extremely knowledgable and engaging. It was visible how much she enjoyed it and she was able to share her passion with the group. I recommend that trip, just be mindful of the distance of the time in the bus. It’s about 200km each trip so be able to stay the 4 hours of trip in the bus without issues. Because of the season the temple wasn’t fully open, if you can prioritize it during spring and summer as it’s fully opened for the touristic season but still, even now it was 80% open and still worth the visit. My only disappointment was in the museum shops that only has national museum things so the same as in Athens and almost nothing related to Apollo which was kind of a shame. All in all I absolutely recommend going there!
- Megrsa00A great experience.Excellent tour-guide and driver. Thank you to both! The driver handled the drive with skill, never causing any concern to the passengers. The tour-guide was very well versed in the mythology and history of Ancient Greece. He was a veritable mine of useful and interesting information. He also has a delightful sense of humour. Highly recommend this experience!
- drewfen00Excellent day out.Excellent trip with a very well informed young guide, Dimitry. Was asked a few questions by members of the group, none of which fazed him. The only thing that let the trip down was the included meal. Food was ok'ish but almost hurled out by the service. Have had a far better standard on trips on the islands, and in Albania. A long day not helped by the evening traffic in Athens, but worth the trouble.
- P3707HXlouisc00Iconic site, ruinedIconic location, but too bad you’ll never see it through the throngs of people and scaffolding. Literally mobs of cruise ship people descend upon the monument starting as soon as it opens and only taper off in the late afternoon when it’s scorching hot out. Make sure to stay out of the way of narcissistic social media “influencer” photo shoots or they will surely let you hear about it. Overall, a magical and iconic world heritage site that has been ruined.
- Joannajohn9900Delphi - Must visitIt's whole day tour. It was great experience that shouldn't be missed. They didn't arrange pick up & drop off. But we were informed 1 day earlier
- Cia90900The oracle would advise you to goSuperb day out. Beautiful location with an amazing history that was central to affairs in the entire region across 1000 years. Marianna was our guide (driver Michos was very friendly) and I can't overstate the amount of information she was able to convey on the tour. She was a wealth of knowledge across the history, geography, philosophy and politics of the entire region as well as demonstrating how Greek forms the basis for so many of our words in English. She was able to articulate how much of the lessons of the past are still valid for us today.

The second floor was my favorite. I love folk costumes and icons and this was beyond beautiful. The museum was breathtaking especially the icon area. Just sit and take 10 minutes to fully enjoy the art. I loved that they placed chairs throughout to give you that intimate experience.

Small enough to see in an hour or two the Benaki museum gives a good overview of Greek archaeological finds, Greek history and culture. There is a coffee shop with great views and seating is available in most of the exhibit rooms.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at the Benaki Museum of Greek Culture. The colors of the persons in that era were very interesting. I was at amazed at the beautiful fabrics. So much incredible history in this museum. The women’s clothing was especially intriguing.
