Wow! We absolutely LOVED this tour! I wish we could take John, our tour guide, in our pocket for the rest of our Greece trip!! Not only was he a wealth of information, he presented it in such an engaging way that we were fully raptured for all 4 hours! The private tour was perfect for our family of four adults. He explained difficult concepts to us in way we could all understand and with plenty of humor. He was also able to answer all of our questions (and we had a lot!). A well-timed coffee break allowed us to go four hours without a problem. John was very thoughtful in finding us a shady spot to sit at every location we visited so we were always comfortable. This tour is definitely recommended for those that are eager to learn a lot and get deep into matters of the mind and soul as well as ancient (and modern! Greek history!!

It was a great opportunity to get a taste of Athens: a lovely city walk balanced with the rest in beautiful park and later at the coffee shop, ending the tour in Acropolis . We got John is a guide - friendly, knowledgeable and caring with a great sense of humor. The information on Greek history and philosophy was delivered with true mastership! Most difficult concepts were explained simply and clear without loosing the depth of ideas. We certainly will recommend this tour to our friends. Thank you very much!

Had a great tour with Niki! She had games and riddles for each stop and took us through a bunch of locations we had wanted to see but in an unexpected way so our kids were totally engaged. It also happened to be cold even and they still didn’t even complain about the walking :) Was a great experience, super glad we had the opportunity and appreciate Niki’s insight, organization and patience so much!!

Our first trip to Greece was a great success in every way — thanks, in large part, to the staff of Be A Greek. They delivered everything promised in the itinerary with regard to accommodations, guide services, and transportation; and a staff member was always available for additional assistance with (for example) restaurant reservations. We employed Be A Greek at the recommendation of a U.S. family member who worked with the company a few years ago. Now, we in turn would recommend Be A Greek to any visitor to Greece, especially those traveling for the first time.

We had John as our tour guide and he was absolutely brilliant. He explained philosophical concepts to me and my 2 teenagers in such an engaging and clear way, and knew so much about the history, philosophy and culture of Athens. A wonderful day which I highly recommend.

I think I really love Greece now 😂... I'm so impressed with all the things that have birthed western civilization that sprang from this soil from the minds of the world's greatest thinkers. To top it off , education is free here!! My kind of people! On this tour, I learned all about how Socrates was the bedrock of many different schools of philosophy and from him sprang Plato and then Aristotle who created the sciences! I won't say too much so as not to spoil the surprises, but I never knew Aristotle was responsible for so many contributions, even Anatomy itself!! He was so curious and his philosophy was to observe the world and from him observations he left us a gift we had no conceived and lifted the veil of ignorance off the face of the earth for many! It was a great tour! Bianca was the best history teacher I've had so far! She helped me fill in a lot of the gaps in my understanding. She shared insights with me about Greek culture. I was glad to have made a friend 😊 by the end of the tour. You will do yourself a disservice if you do not add this to your itinerary while in Greece! Enjoy!

The trip was so wonderful and stress free. The views were gorgeous, tours very interesting, food was fantastic and the people were so nice. It was the perfect trip!

The private nighttime tour of the Acropolis Museum was excellent! Our guide was super knowledgable, entertaining, and moved us efficiently through so we could take in the museum as a whole. Highly recommend!
