Vasia made this experience truly amazing for our team of 13 coworkers. She was beyond entertaining, kept everyone engaged in the event, kept everyone laughing for 4 hours+, and led us to prepare a delicious meal! I would strongly recommend this to anyone who is looking to learn more about traditional Greek food, have fun and have a great meal.

Had a great time with Thanos and his staff learning to make a delicious Greek meal. It's a small and intimate kitchen you will share with about 8 other students. That being said, I think that is a good thing! I would recommend doing the early class, since some of the vendors had closed for the day when we did the afternoon class. We were there off season and during lent, so this may be why. Otherwise we had a great time!

Thank you for taking time to leave a review! Thanos is a great cook, and it's always nice when our students remember their names! Sometimes things can be quieter during the lent period but I am pleased that you still enjoyed the class!

Wonderful fun with very nice and funny Thanaseus (sp?). He kept things lively with his stories and was very skillful at using his time. Obvious he and the kitchen helpers had done this before. Class of 12 ppl, he put each of us to tasks and showed what we could do to enjoy cooking. He expertly kept track of several people’s dietary restrictions too! Would very well recommend!

This was the highlight of an already fantastic trip to Greece and we participated on our last full day of our trip.. We loved walking through the market with our chef who was incredibly knowledgeable about all things food and Greek cooking. In the kitchen, each course was made communally and I have no idea how our chef could keep track of who was doing what and when, but she was a master of coordinating everything to produce a perfect result. Oh, and did I say 'fun'? She had a great sense of humor and personal attention. We laughed a lot and enjoyed a huge meal of all our labor together. The small group (8) was a pleasure to interact with and I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys Greek food and loves to cook. Simply an awesome experience!

Our chef was wonderful explaining the customs of food in Greece and demonstrating how to prepare the dishes. He answered everyone’s questions about customs and I loved walking around the food market. Loved how easy to prepare and fresh tasting the dishes were. I definitely had a good time. A great way to begin my Greek Vacation.

Insanely expensive for what you get (a cooking class for 10 people) and the food is pretty mediocre. I’ve done cooking classes all over the world (Peru Brazil Crete Portugal) and for this price you should get an intimate experience.
The dolma recipe is gross honestly, way too much salt and not enough meat, like not even 1 lb added for the whole class.
These five star reviews are a scam.

Yawn. You were in a small group of 10 in a classroom with space for 22. Everyone else had a great time and loved it so I’d suggest looking within yourself for the actual problem. The closest cooking class in price is almost €100 so stop moaning. Also you cooked the food you ate so most people reading this will just think you’re a whining baby who can’t follow basic instructions.
All of our reviews are real, unlike you we have lives to live and wouldn’t have the time write the thousands of 5 star reviews we have across all of our booking sites and review pages.
Enjoy your cosy cooking class in Peru!

This cooking class was one of the most fun things we did in Athens! We met people from other countries, learned to cook a delicious Greek meal and were entertained the entire time by Vasia! She is not only a talented chef, she is very funny! She has a very dry sense of humor and had us laughing the entire time! Her assistants were also a lot of fun! We had a tour of the market and then prepared our meal! After running all around Athens seeing ancient sites, it was nice to kick back and laugh and cook! I always thought taking a cooking class would be boring but I will now try to schedule one wherever we travel! I highly recommend this class for everyone!

By far the highlight of my trip to Athens, Greece. Greek Kitchen made the experience fun, educational, and memories that only Greek Kitchen can accomplish. In addition, Vasia is a funky, personal individual with her humor that made the 4-hour class seem like ten minutes. Furthermore, I would recommend anybody wanting to dive headfirst into greek cuisine enroll in a Greek Kitchen class!!!!

Vasia was not only a good chef of Greek cuisine, but also an entertainer, which made this experience a lot of fun. The presence of other participants added to the experience as well. The Greek Kitchen had no trouble in adjusting the recipes and ingredients for the vegans among us. We appreciated that flexibility very much. And at the end, we had a delicious meal to enjoy!

This was a fun activity! My fellow cooks were from the US, Canada, Spain, and Scotland. Vasia, our teacher, took us through the Market, entertained us with her bold personality, instructed us to create amazingly delicious foods, got us up on our feet and dancing, and brought out the wine. We had a joyful afternoon followed by a delicious meal!

We have a family of four adults and two children (3 and 5). Can this class accommodate us on either 6/17/2023 or 6/18/2023 @ 9:30 am? Or, can we arrange a private tour?
Is there an email address for me to contact The Greek Kitchen directly?

To find out if they can accommodate you I suggest you check availability using their booking site. There is a telephone number in the help section of the details on trip advisor and once you have booked you can message the Greek kitchen (I did this regarding allergies). It is free cancellation so you could book and if you are not happy after messaging them, then cancel!

Can you give a description of the food that will be part of the cooking class?
We made stuffed eggplant, orange pie, stuffed grape leaves, spinach pie, tzatziki sauce with a Greek salad. It was 7 in my group and we all had a blast!
I have 5 adults in my group and it will only allow me to go up to 4 adults. Am I able to reserve for 5 adults?
