- amygoats0 contributionsSurreal Views and Authentic ExperiencesI wish I booked my whole 10 days in Greece with EUDAIMONIA Private Tours. The care our driver Panayiotis took to make sure we were comfortable was great. All of the stops and food on the 2 day Delphi/Meteora tour were authentic and the accomodation was superior with the most amazing views! Recommending to all my friends and family!!! Our driver also went out of his way to help us with the rest of our stay.Written November 11, 2024
- Food_Tuber0 contributionsMust visit! Wonderfully preserved temple that even Athenians don't know about! We have visited multiple temples in Greece. The Parthenon atop the Acropolis, the Temple of Hephaistos next to the ancient Agora in Athens, and the temple of Poseidon in Sounion are but the highlights. The Temple of Concordia, in Agrigento Sicily by the way is another wonder and is still on my bucket list. But what a pleasant surprise this temple on Aigina was. Firstly, it only took a 1-hour and 15 minute ferry ride to get to the island from Pireus. Then no more than 20 minutes to drive and visit the Cathedral of St. Nektarios and another short drive to the Temple of Athina. Mind you, we went in October so there wasn't so much traffic and tourism and the weather was just right. Driving to St. Nektarios was easy and the visit itself was quick. The facilities are well kept. Check out the grounds and the garden areas. Beautiful. Please be mindful that women need to wear trousers or a long skirt. If you don't have one, there are some long make-shift skirts that you can wear over your shorts in front of the entrance at the cathedral. Following a visit to the cathedral, it only takes another 10 minutes or so to drive the temple of Athina. In October you are sure to find a place to park in front of the grounds entrance. Tourist buses may take up lots of space so just be prepared to park further down the road during the busy season. But on this particular visit we had the whole place to ourselves. The grounds have been renovated to offer better access to the public. And I must say, that the temple itself is equally very well preserved. Oh, and the view is simply stunning! Our ancient forefathers surely knew how to pick the best spots! Take some time to soak it all in. There is the quiet of nature to be heard. Simply delightful. And on this occasion, I am glad I didn't make too much fuss for not having visited the Acropolis because the Temple of Athina was a first for me and certainly didn't disappoint!Written October 30, 2024
- Gilberto260 contributionsBest tour in Greece!Service was exceptional, at the time agreed, Theo our tour guide / driver picked up and since then he was very kind helpful and efficent with all info related to the sites visited. We took the three days your to Delphi, Meteora, Nafplio, Mycene and Theo was always taking us to the best greek food wherever we went.Written October 28, 2024

- jacobc3280 contributionsGreat day trip from AthensThe best thing about doing a private tour is that you go at your own pace and don’t have to deal with crowds in buses. Panos, our guide and driver for the day, was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We learned a lot of things, not only about the places we visited, but also about Greece. The time flew by with interesting and fun conversation. We visited Delphi and Hosios Loukas, both incredibly beautiful and mystical places. Delphi was crowded but still an amazing archaeological site. On the other hand, we had the monastery for ourselves. Panos took us to a family run restaurant for a delicious lunch of Greek dishes we still had not encountered. We highly recommend this tour and company, it was truly a special and unforgettable day!Written October 18, 2024
- Sightsee132830 contributionsHydra, perfect IslandThis was the most memorable adventure. Guide was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. Hydra is a perfect island with inspiring views, interesting history and great walking paths. He tailored the tour of Hydra with our taste and interests. Thank you Panayiotis!Written October 17, 2024
- annegP1808XV0 contributions8 Perfect Days with TheoWe spent 8 days traveling mostly in the Peloponnese Peninsula with Theo. It could not have been better. Theo was informative, considerate and a delight to be with. The itinerary they planned for us (always with our input) was exactly what we hoped for and perfect in every way. We saw the sites we were interested in, stayed in a wonderful variety of accommodations and a major highlight was the lunches Theo ordered for us in local Greek restaurants every day. Thank you Theo for showing us such a good time!Written October 14, 2024
- dybelinda0 contributionsUnforgettable private tour of breathtaking Hydra IslandIt was my first trip to Hydda Island; I didn’t know it would be the most perfect island hideaway! It was so picturesque but without the crowds of the more popular tourist places like Mykonos or Santorini. It was love at first sight! Plus, I had the best guide anyone could have ever asked for, Panayiotis! He was not only knowledgeable about the island, he was also very attentive, considerate, and protective of me, specially since I was alone on this trip. He would ask me my preferences every step of the way, and he would adjust the schedule accordingly. I wanted to take a lot of pictures, and he patiently and willingly became my official photographer for the day!🥰 It was indeed a memorable trip for me, and I hope to be back in Hydra Island again soon❤️Written October 8, 2024
- juliemG2856FV0 contributionsGreat Private Tour to Meteora and DelphiMy husband and I had a wonderful experience with Eudaimonia. Within an hour of booking through Viator, Niko sent an email confirmation introducing them. Our original trip was a one night, two day trip to Meteora, but after discussing date challenges with Niko we turned it into a two night, three day trip to Meteora, Delphi and Galaxidi. Our guide Panayiotis was fabulous. He spoke English quite well, was very knowledgeable, and we had very interesting conversation during the car rides. He really made the trip enjoyable. We made the mistake of leaving our passports at our first hotel on night one and did not realize it until midday of day two. Instead of letting it ruin our entire day, Niko and Panayiotis worked diligently to get them sent by courier back to Athens in time for our cruise ship embarkation. Their efforts above and beyond made us eternally grateful. We will definitely use Eudaimonia again if in Greece and will recommend them to all our friends.Written October 6, 2024
- FrankZ1090 contributionsGreece unwrapped. From the moment we contacted Nikos on WhatsApp we felt confident that we would enjoy this long trip and were in safe hands, and so it turned out to be. I must admit Greece was never on my travel radar and how wrong I was. We started our tour in Athens with an airport pickup. This is highly recommended for safety sake. I don't intend to describe our tour in detail as it can be found on their web site. The tour was split in 2 halves as we went during the busy summer period and bookings were difficult for Nikos to get. The first 4 days of the tour was with Theo who was a fabulous tour guide, driver and meal planner. He took us to great restaurants and carefully selected food that our diets tolerated. He carefully explained the history of each site, was patient and helpful. Some days were very long, in excess of 10 hours. Nonetheless no short cuts were taken. Nikos was our guide for the second part of our trip. He was careful with hotel selection - never settling for second best. The tour itself was most informative. He drove long distances in having us see only the best of Greece, picking the most historical and picturesque sites. His lunch selections were always spot on, and dinner advice based on many years of experience. All said I could not recommend this tour more.Written October 1, 2024
- glendad9570 contributionsBest day ever in Athens! We had just one day in Athens after leaving our cruise ship! Our tour guide, Theo, was so conscious of our time and fit in all the highlights he could according to traffic conditions and locality. Our lunch was amazing, and it was a perfect day to eat outdoors at a quaint restaurant that Theo chose for us! We felt very catered to as we indulged in delicious traditional Greek dishes and their own version of baklava made with pistachios! Acropolis tickets are extra (20 Euros each), but so worth it if you have not been there! We waited too late to book ours online for the 8 or 9 am slots as our Eudaimonia planner, Nikos, recommended! Listen to him, and book those slots online ahead of time! He knows best! At 11 am, it is crowded with tour bus visitors! We chose not do the museum due to our time limit. The changing of the guards in Athens is different than any other you may have experienced! It’s a must-see! Theo timed everything perfectly to get us there just prior, drop us off, and no waiting to pick us up! Nikos’s wife also treated us to homemade cookies made with ousa and raisins! So, so delicious! An unexpected treat! We really hated for our tour to end and we saw much more than I’ve mentioned here! From our pickup at the cruise port to our drop off at our hotel, our 9 hours with Theo was well-spent and thoroughly enjoyed by four of us! We loved asking him all kinds of questions and getting to know him. We learned about his life as well as the culture there and the city of Athens! He was very knowledgeable, had just a charming personality and was such a gentleman! We felt we had the cream of the company’s tour guides! From the moment we booked, Nikos was in contact with us by email/What’s App to help him get to know us and make suggestions for our tour. Feel confident that when you book with Nikos at Eudaimonia Private Tours that your tour will be customized to your needs/likes and will be well worth your time and investment!Written September 27, 2024
- LHS1234560 contributions4-Day tour of Nafplio, Olympia, Delphi and Meteora.Went on this tour with Eudaimonia - arranged by Nikos who was very responsive to queries and arranging this wonderful tour. Our driver/guide was Theodore, an exceptionally great guide - very helpful with info and an archeologist which obviously made a difference before visiting the ancient sites. Accomodation was excellent (for the price of the tour), local food fare was good (we should have listened to Theo for his recommendation for dinner!). Plenty of time to explore the sites and always with an informative overview of each site by Theo. Overall, I highly recommend Eudaimonia and especially Theo for his excellent services. Kudos!Written September 25, 2024
- LexEspana0 contributionsIncredible Private Tour of Greece, highly recommend!Eudaimonia Private Tours and Nikos will organize an outstanding tour just for you! Our guide, Panayiotis, was the perfect match! He went above and beyond anything we could have imagined. From beginning to end our experience was memorable and educational as we hoped. He was professional, knowledgeable, courteous AND fun! We had a lot of laughs and learned so much about Greek culture. We enjoyed the city of Athens; the towns of Dmitsana, Nafplio, and Mycenae; the island of Hydra; numerous archaeological sites; a wine tasting and private tour at Skouras winery, and hiking to name a few. Driving through the all around beauty of the Peloponnese was breathtaking. Eudaimonia takes the stress out of planning tour sites, restaurants, hotels, and getting from one location to another. Panayiotis took us to delicious local restaurants for lunch where we happily let him order and were always very pleased with his choices. We would recommend our tour to everyone! We’ve only scratched the surface of discovering Greece and would go back to Eudaimonia Private Tours, Nikos and Panayiotis again and again. Thank you, thank you, thank you!Written September 20, 2024
- scotthJ3266CG0 contributionsLove the tour and our guide was outstanding! Our time with Panos on this tour was absolutely outstanding. We were scheduled to go to the Meteora Monasteries but pivoted due to iffy weather. We could not have been happier with the change of plans. Panos , our guide, was courteous, kind, extremely well informed and willing to share with us all he knew of our destinations and Greece in general. He was a well of information and was able to answer our many questions about Greek culture and traditions. As a plus, Panos took us to a local restaurant for lunch where we had an excellent meal. We never would have found this place and the experience was outstanding! We would recommend this tour and this guide service! Panos was excellent.Written September 18, 2024

I had a terrific trip touring Mystras, Sparta, Delphi, Meteora, and Thermopylae with my guide Nikos! Nikos put together a custom itinerary with places in Greece that I had not yet visited. The highlight of my trip was visiting the clifftop monasteries at Meteora. We had marvelous weather for picture taking, and Nikos, knew where the best spots were. Hiking up several of the monasteries was also a unique experiences, and Nikos knew the best ones suitable for me. An AWESOME trip!!

Our first tour in 2021 since the pandemic was from a visitor from Washington DC. A brave but vaccinated individual who was very flexible and ready to adjust the special traveling conditions both due to the local protocols still in place for a few more days, and the first-day rainy weather.
Thank you Charles for taking this tour with us and giving us a great start to the after COVID-19 (hopefully) season.
Thank you for the great review although we know you didn't get 100% of what this tour could provide for you a couple of months later than you did it. Still, we covered a great distance and saw the most popular places in Greece.

We had a great tour with Nikos, he was pleasant and very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. We only wished we had taken a longer tour with him.
He made sure we were happy and had done everything we wanted.
We will definitely contact him when we get back to Athens and do the 5 day tour.
We would recommend him to anyone visiting Athens.

Every stop on this trip was beautiful, well-thought out, and offered diversified experiences in the more rural Peloponnese. It was a pleasant break from urban Athens (and I loved Athens). Our guide, Nikos, was very informative and thoughtful, and I feel that we had a more "authentic Greek" experience as a result.
The quick summary: The Ancient Site of Olympia is beautiful. The mountain villages are gorgeous. The view from our hotel balcony in Lousios Gorge was absolutely breathtaking, and the monasteries are charming. The monks produce good cherry brandy by the way which you can obtain with a "donation".
The most impressive part of the trip was that Nikos truly went out of his way to accommodate us. He asked us some questions in the beginning of the trip about what our interests were and what we had already done. From that feedback, he made sure to try address everyone's interests/issues. These are just some of the things Nikos did off the top of my head (there are probably more):
1. We had all tried Greek coffee but were drinking it incorrectly (and getting the sludge). He made sure we enjoyed it the correct way and at a cute small town cafe.
2. We had all had a bad experience with Ouzo in Athens. Nikos taught us the proper way to experience Ouzo with delicious Greek seafood. (Some of the best squid I've ever had).
3. One of us craved good Spanakopita. He made sure that it was offered at two different meals.
4. We had discovered a candy ("SUPER JELLY") in Athens that we wished to bring back but we couldn't find it in stores. Nikos actually called the manufacturer, found the candy AFTER he dropped us off at the end of the trip, and then delivered it back to the hotel for us!
5. Last but not least, in our group of friends, he conspired with one for a dramatic marriage proposal on the balcony of one of the monasteries. It was the perfect place!!! It was such a stunning and romantic location.
He truly went above and beyond what I could expect from a tour guide. The only bad part is that we can't have Nikos for every tour (i.e. if we go to France or Thailand next).
@Nikos: I definitely owe you a drink!!!!

We went out on this private tour as a group of 6 (three couples). Nikos picked us up promptly at the scheduled time, directly from our hotel. The van was a new model, like, Mercedes that seated 8. Comfortable and clean.
Nikos took us throughout the country side, stopped in a little town to have a traditional Greek coffee at a small cafe. He did all of the talking for us, thank goodness, because we don't speak Greek! We were greeted at the table by the "welcoming committee" also known as two local neighborhood dogs. They were adorable.
We moved on to drive further into the countryside where Nikos took us to a seaside location for lunch. It felt like we were on our own private dining experience, because we were the only ones eating and the only people as far as the eye could see (aside from the restaurant staff, of course). The ocean was stunning, the FOOD WAS AMAZING. And there was so much of it. I feel like we tried ALL of the traditional yummy food during this tour. Crazy that all this food was included in our tour price!
Nikos taught us how to eat the foods and the proper way to drink ouzo. And we drank a lot of ouzo. Haha!
We then went to Ancient Olympia where Nikos dropped us off and let us explore the ruins. Because of the time of the year, we were nearly the only tourists at the sight. (Honestly, I think off season is where it's at folks!) We then spent a few hours taking pictures, running on the track where the ancient Olympians ran, and making good memories. To signal that we were done touring the sight, we simply dialed Nikos number and let it ring a few times, didn't have to complete the call so not to charge for international call. Genius!
Nikos then took us up through the mountain side (tons of switchbacks, bring your dramamine!) and told us the history of the old mountain towns. They were just stunning! Something out of the movies, or a story book. We stayed in a town called Dimitsana, in this beautiful high class hotel that sat right on the mountain side. Breath taking view!
Nikos left us to explore the little town for the night and enjoy ourselves. We had dinner at a restaurant that was so nice and authentic. I'm pretty sure the person who took our order also made our food. We drank local rose wine and enjoyed ourselves, explored the town a bit, though it was cold, and then went back to our hotel (which felt like a private hotel) and drank the night away. It was fun.
Okay, so that was just the first day guys!
Second day, we woke up to a breakfast in the hotel where they made us food to order on top of the continental breakfast! We all headed out after this for the day to check out two monasteries. Both beautiful, but what really made it special, is Prodromos, the second monastery. See, the day before my man asked Nikos where he could propose to me (I had no idea, you know, until after of course). He wanted to do it somewhere beautiful and special. Nikos took the time to think on it and helped my guy coordinate a perfect spot. And it was perfect, you guys. Pulled off the surprise flawlessly. The view from the balcony at the Prodromos monastery is so beautiful. (sigh) Thank you Nikos, for helping my man create the best proposal ever!
After we toured the mountains and the two beautiful monasteries, Nikos took us to yet another small town where we ate a huge meal, and the food was amazing, again! This time, the restaurant owner gave us a dessert (Baklava) that was made by his very own mother. It was rich and flaky and such big portions that none of us could finish it! So sweet, what a memory.
After lunch, we had a drive back to our hotel, where Nikos stopped to let us take pictures at certain locations if we wanted. The entire thing was great, and to top it off, because a couple member of our group were looking for a specific candy that we just could not find in Athens, Nikos went out of his way to drop off a couple bags of it at the hotel front desk that very same night we returned back. It was such a kind gesture, he didn't have to do that. :)
This tour, was worth every single dollar spent. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
