Superb tour of Athens & awesome tour-leader
Being the first time visiting Athens, we did not know what to expect. But from the get go, our tour leader Mr. Dimitris Gkiolas was amazing. Before we went to each attraction, he gave us a preview by means of a running commentary whilst driving of what to expect, what the story & history was behind those famed archeological sites & even myths surrounding them. The tours were well-timed giving us enough time to take lots of pictures & appreciating them. Mr Gkiolas was informative, & very knowledgeable & answered all our questions well. He was friendly & was even willing to go overtime so that we can complete all our visits. He even recommended a lunch venue that was inexpensive, yet the cuisine was superb. in all, the trip was made memorable through the friendliness & advice of Mr Gkiolas. Well done Dimitris.

          Superb Private Full-Day Excursion
Stavros was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and helpful. He kept us informed of what we were about to see, the history of Greece, and anything else he felt was important for us to know about Greece. We were picked up on-time at our hotel in a very clean and comfortable van. We could not have asked for a better guide who make this full-day excursion incredibly enjoyable and informative. Corinth Canal is a brief stop and well worth it to see this engineering marvel. Epidaurus has extensive ruins to see and a great coliseum. Nafplion is a charming town in which to have lunch and sightsee for a couple of hours. Mycenae is very special and well worth seeing considering its age, its location, and adjoining museum.

          Truly amazing tour!
It has long been a huge wish for us to visit the palaces in Mycenae, and I think we could not have found a better trip than this. The tour was above and beyond what we expected and we can only recommend this!! Stavros was very personable and absolutely all knowing in every topic from recent Greek politics to infrastructure, geology, myths and historical facts. We are scholars of archaeology and learned so much additional from this trip. We are truly impressed by the easy deliverance and presentation and flow of the guiding and had one of the best trips we have ever been on. The trip was tailored to our every desire and we can not stress enough the personal touch and knowledge of Stavros. If you want one tour - choose this. We also want to add, that because of the COVID restrictions travelling from the UK, we had to rebook the tour several times - and every time the rebooking was accommodated with a smile and flexibility that goes beyond everything we have ever experienced. Thank you!!

          A Little Disappointed
The driver was prompt, funny, full of personality, and had extensive knowledge of ancient Greek history. He drove a Mercedes Benz (excellent car) and kept us entertained the entire trip. Cold water was always available (and grateful for that) and a small complementary gift was given at the end of the tour. However, Saint Paul was mentioned no more than three times, and never did we follow any of his footsteps. The tours of Corinth were fabulous, but we wanted and paid for ($400+) a tour of Saint Paul's journies in Athens and Corinth and received neither. NOTE: tourism just reopened and we fully expected tour guides and drivers to be a little rusty, and we've given some leeway for this and tipped the driver generously. These folks have been out of work for over a year and our intent is not to crucify any of them. Bottom line: Give the tour that is advertised.

          Best 8 hours in Athens
We had just 24 hours in Athens, and this 8 hours tour was ideal for us. We managed to see all these great monuments and buildings while enjoying a sunny autumn day in the city, with a highly professional, experienced, informative and polite driver and guide. Highly recommended for everyone who wants to enjoy Athens in a convenient, safe, and relaxing way.

Highly recommended tour, great guide, great talk. Really detailed tour, with all the information you need, but not at all boring since the guide is really funny and discrete.

Such a perfect day in Athens!
Stavros took me and my party around Athens. We visited all major sights (Acropolis, Parthenon, Temple of Zeus, Old Olympic Stadium and more), saw the changing of the guards and had lunch in Plaka. We learned so much and had such a fun time with our driver who was funny, full of knowledge and gave his best to make our day perfect!

          Athens came alive
We booked with MyAthensTour after some research. I felt lucky to book with them. The communication from the beginning was excellent. This is important to us because we are traveling with three elderly people and we did not have wiggle room for things to go sour. We actually did a hybrid booking for the two days we were in Athens, one full day in the city and another half day driving out to Ancient Corinth. Our interest was seeing Athens from a Christian perspective. Our guide Stravos was terrific. He made our first ever trip to Athens memorable. He picked us up in a great late model MB minivan with name sign in hand at the exit from the port. He had a nice itinerary planned out for us based on our needs. This guy is like a history encyclopedia. Both days were special. You too will be lucky to book with this company. Price is very reasonable. Well done!!

          Tour with Stavrou
We took a tour with Stavros in Athens, Greece. We never met a tour guide who was so knowledgeable and funny. He took us to all the highlights of Athens, including the changing of the guards. Our last stop was the flea market that was filled with so many vendors and restaurants. Very informative tour!!!!!!

LOVELY KALAVRYTA & HOLY CAVE (MEGA SPILIO).
The coach left at ,06,45 am through the Athens-Patras Highway , first stop was at Kiato for morning breakfast , after we continued our trip to the town of KATO DIAKOPTO , where we boarded a special train for a trip up to KALAVRYTA . That train has narrow rails and an extra third one , train at a certain point will connect a gear to the third line so it could get up the steep hill to KALAVRYTA . We had a tremendous experience within this trip , the train drove into the VOURRAIKOU Canyon ,farther was the river full of water , in between the rocks water falls were falling down the river , the Nature with all kind off trees and some caves in the rocks . Arrived at Kalavrita we went walking around the city had lunch , made a few shopping of local products , and the most importantant did not MISS the MUSEUM OF "" THE HOLOCAFTOM "" when during World War II , the German NAZIZ ,took every male over 12 years old , assembled them in the City Square and fired by automatic guns , children - women and old ones were locked from outside in the school hal then they set fire A young soldier could not stand any more the screaming of pain that was heard ,without being seen he run to a back door and opened , so a few where the ones that lived . After we left the city of kalavryta for the very interesting cave "" the MEGA SPILIO "" inside in the Miraculous "" ICON of OUR VIRGIN MARY mother of JESUS CHRIST "" . Back on road towards home with one stop-over for tea break and direct to Athens .

          Well educated Chauffeur
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable of the 7,000 year history of Athens and Greece. He offers a passion and accuracy for the history of Greece that may be unmatched. Stavros was a kind and patient person by nature. Easy going and relaxed trip, and always felt comfortable. I would recommend this private tour. You will gain true knowledge and appreciation of the immense history that is uniquely Grecian. Van was comfortable, clean, and dinner was fresh.

Stavros picked us up at the ship and was right on time. We had a great day starting with the Acropolis and then some other nearby landmarks. next we watched the changing of the guard and then to the market for lunch and some shopping. I would highly recommend Stavros and My Athens Tour.

We had a fantastic time walking around Athens with Danae. She was so sweet and passionate about the history of the neighborhoods. I gained a much better understanding of Athens history and the efforts to redevelop older houses, as well as the communities who built them. My aunt and I also love gardening and cooking and when we asked about the sour orange trees that grow along the streets she even surprised us with a jar of marmalade! Absolutely a highlight of our trip.

Our spent the day with Stavros and he could not have been more of perfect fit for us.
Stavros began to tell us about the City of Athens. He spoke with enthusiasm and very passionate about the history. His wealth of knowledge on all aspects of Athens and its many amazing historical places is unmatched and show us some wonderful sites of massive historical importance. He showed us various landmarks and gave a 'guided tour' in perfect English of each area we passed on the way from and to where ever we were headed.

We discussed anything and everything from the Greek mythology, ancient philosophers to the modern political and economic situations in Greece, including Wonder Woman LOL.

We insisted to take him out to lunch and to take us where he would normally go to eat out with his family, where the locals go. PERFECT restaurant, very delicious food.
I would recommend Stavros to anyone traveling to Greece. He is a knowledgeable, well spoken, considerate and very thoughtful person, making sure that the kids are safe... and yes, keeping that car cool before we even get in the inside! My kids gained an Uncle!

        Thank you Stavros.

Stavros Striligas was our tour guide for the whole day trip and he was incredible! Extremely knowledgeable of the history, the area, and ensured we saw the main tourist attractions while also accommodating any one-off requests we had. I would go back and do this same tour any day traveling to Athens. One of the best days of vacation by far!

During our day with Stavros, he was was an educator, an entertainer and a fellow food afficianado! Before we actually stepped foot at any of the historic sites, he gave us a mini history lesson complete with amusing anecdotes. We felt that we were totally prepared to appreciate the historic sites especially the Acropolis with the famed Parthenon.
For lunch he led us to a restaurant off the beaten path that served THE most outstanding lamb entree.
Through the entire day, we learned, laughed and enjoyed!

Stavros was an absolutely spectacular guide. We left promptly at our meeting time from a preselected location just away from our Airbnb. We also left early to see the Acropolis/Parthenon in order to avoid the crowds. This was excellent as Stavros gave us a 45 minute historical overview of Athens as well as an in-depth intro to the Parthenon and it’s history/meaning/design. He was absolutely spectacular and extremely well versed in his history of the area. He showed us around downtown Athens as well as the temple of Zeus. This was more a driving tour with rolling commentary, but the commentary was so excellent that there was no need for someone to walk with us to see the sights. Stavros preped is well and then gave us time to see things. We did not hit any mueseums as we had already planned a tour of the acropolis museum for another day. All in all the tour was excellent, we had great Greek food, saw a lot and learned a lot. Great time with Stavros. Couldn’t possibly say better things. Maybe top 2 tours I’ve had in the past year traveling Europe?

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and had amazing facts and details for us. It should be noted that they do not go inside with you - but provide you with everything you need to know before you go in. Also - definitely go to his recommended lunch spot - it was the best food we had our entire trip. Would highly recommend to anyone who has a short amount of time in Athens and wants to see as much as possible.

Beginning bright and early in the morning, Stavros met us at our hotel and drove us to the Acropolis, arriving before the tour buses. This gave us an opportunity for a 45 minute visit without the crowds. It was wonderful. We spent the rest of the day visiting sights agreed upon by the three of us, including the Parliament Building, the Temple of Zeus, the old Olympic Stadium, the Plaka and so much more. Stavros was extremely well versed on the history of Athens, the great philosophers and the modern political and economic situation in Greece. He is a most engaging person. We loved spending time with him, seeing the sights and learning the history of this beautiful country!

2 Couples celebrating 25th wedding anniversary spent the day with Stravos exploring the city of Athens. Started the morning with the Parthenon, got there early to beat the crowds, having a private tour made it easier to navigate around the big tour groups. Next onto the Olympic stadium and changing of the guards. Stravos dropped us off for lunch and picked us back up exactly at the time that was agreed. We continued our tour and finished our day at the highest point overlooking the entire city. His knowledge of Greece and World affairs made him quite easy to talk with. Definitely worth the trip.
