About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- stacy5580 contributionsGreat Tour with Chance to See Some Powerful Street Art PiecesAdd this tour to your list of things to do in Athens! It is a wonderful walk through some less visited areas of the city. The street art is vibrant and powerful and through discussions of the street art, you start to get an understanding of some of the issues and topics in Athens and Greece. Our guide Andreas was very knowledgeable about the art, the neighborhoods and Athens in general. As we went around the city, he discussed the street art, the graffiti, the neighborhoods, sometimes the connections between them and big and small ideas that only someone who has lived in Athens for years would know. We are very happy we did this tour and want to thank Andreas for making our tour more like a conversation that we wanted to continue even after the tour ended.Written February 1, 2025
- stacy5580 contributionsGreat Walking TourWe were a bit undecided about taking this tour because we had decided to take the Street Art tour and were concerned there would be overlap. So happy we decided to do it. First, there was not overlap in the neighborhoods or what the tours discussed. Second, it was a fabulous tour. We went through neighborhoods we never would have gotten to on our own. We learned about the more modern history and culture of the city and Greece in general. Antigoni was a great tour guide - knowledgeable, thoughtful, tuned in to our questions and interests, and fun. We loved going through the city with someone whose family had multiple generations in Athens and appreciate she shared her family stories with us. We hope you love this tour as much as we did.Written February 1, 2025
- 556trav0 contributionsOff the Beaten PathNikos’ walking tour was the best way we could have started our holiday in Athens. He introduced us to several neighborhoods, culture, traditions, and off the beaten path places where locals go, so we could get a feel of the “real” Athens. His knowledge, insight and attention to detail were amazing. The time flew by! Thank you Nikos!Written January 23, 2025

- 2BlueDevils0 contributionsDon't miss this refreshing, crowd-free tour in AthensOur Athens Street Ark Walk was one of the best things we did during our three week trip to Europe. After seeing LOTS of famous buildings, fountains, museums and churches, it was a refreshing change to get away from the crowds and spend several hours seeing parts of Athens we never would have ventured into on our own. Our guide Nick was wonderful - he led us to interesting, challenging public art and helped us understand what life is like for people who live and work in Athens.Written January 16, 2025
- rotem t0 contributionsIntimate and personal. A prefect way to experience the less traveled neighborhoodsWe had a very short time in Athens. We chose to experience the less traveled neighborhoods and stumbled upon this street art tour. Our guide was the lovely Nikos. It was off season, so we were a very small group, which allowed for a more intimate tour. Nikos was very lovely and interesting, he really brought himself and his interests to the tour, and we felt like we benefited a lot from this. We had some time to bond with our fellow participants, over coffee, as the tour allowed for it. We found it very nice and something that improved the experience. We left Nikos after the tour, not before he gave us some nice recommendations for food and such. We had a lovely time, and we highly recommend this tour.Written January 13, 2025
- Flyer7574560 contributionsPaid the full amount for mistakenly scheduling the wrong date.We came especially to the meeting place but turned out we signed up for the next day. By then it was a little less than 24 hours cancellation - around 23 hours. They had no other tour on that day and the following day we took a flight so paid the full amount and got nothing!! Very disappointing customer service!Written January 7, 2025

- Hannele D0 contributionsInteresting street art off the beaten track in AthensA very interesting walking tour exploring street art with Niko who had a degree in graphic design (or similar) so was very knowledgeable about the topic, the different types of street art, the artists etc. We actually ended up having a private tour as nobody else had signed up, so had very interesting chats with Niko along the way. Really enjoyed, besides street art, visiting neighbourhoods of Athens we probably otherwise would not have visited, and hearing about their history. If you want a break from all the gorgeous ancient Grèce stuff this tour is an excellent option.Written January 1, 2025

- Keyu L0 contributionsPerfect start to our Athens adventureWe couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off our trip to Athens! This orientation tour truly lived up to its name, helping us get our bearings while exploring some vibrant neighborhoods in and around the city center. Our guide, Elissavet, was outstanding — knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly attentive. She patiently answered all of our questions and made frequent stops to ensure we fully soaked in the experience. Despite the freezing weather (by Athenian standards), the tour extended nearly an hour over its scheduled time, which we deeply appreciated (and she had confirmed with us at the beginning of our trip). Elissavet went above and beyond by following up with a detailed email recommending restaurants and must-visit spots, which would be invaluable for the rest of our trip. This tour set the tone for an amazing stay in Athens, and we couldn’t be happier. Highly recommended!Written December 29, 2024
- Halek H0 contributionsGreat start to our family vacationWe are on a family vacation with our teenager / young adults and were looking for a fun way to explore Athens and its rich food culture. The small group food tour was definitely a highlight for all of us! Andreas, our tour guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable and offered a good mix of history, personal stories and cultural insights while walking with us through the different neighborhoods. The food stops we made were well balanced, ranging from breakfast, oil-tasting, to street food, coffee and sweets. We will definitely re-visit some of the places we discovered on the tour!Written December 27, 2024
- timw3320 contributionsA++ ExperienceWe had an awesome experience on the food tour. Andreas is a great guide who knows and loves this city and it's history -- and can convey his knowledge in an easy and engaging manner. This tour was truly a highlight of our trip. Oh, and the food was amazing as well.Written December 26, 2024

After Barcelona stay, on September 9 was time to flight to Athens, Greece, my husband and me were very excited to go there because this Athens vacation was postponed twice and finally we were in this city full of ancient history, Mythology, goddess and museums. Like always , we took the city sightseeing Athens-Piraeus- Beaches tour starting from $26 euros to visit important historic places like Acropolis and Parthenon, Temple of Zeus, the Olympic stadium, the red line takes you to most historic places, the green line goes to cruise terminal, planetarium ,the purple line goes to beach and Riviera where you have beautiful views of the city and the coast. Another enjoyable place is Syntagma Square here every hour you can see the presidential guard change. Kolonaki area is full of restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops and at night you can enjoy the acropolis illuminated and take beautiful pictures, To enjoy this historic city we stayed at Athens Tiare by Mage Hotels near train station Omonoia , restaurants, shopping, buses, hop-on-hop -off stop, and from this hotel you walk 15 minutes to museum of Art, Greek opera house and others .
We enjoyed our visit to this beautiful city and felt excited to be there standing next to these important places that we learned in high school. To visit this historic place you need at least 5 days and if you want to visit the Islands should be have more days available. Recommendation, From the airport don't take a taxi , it's very expensive, take the train, ask questions how to change trains to get to your hotel. be aware of the pickpockets specially in the train and stations, choose comfortable shoes to walk. the is not problem with language most people speak English. Enjoy your next vacation in Athens you will not regret it .

Couldn’t recommend this enough for both people who are interested in Greek mythology and those who haven’t read much about it!!
The tour covers the major sites of the Acropolis and the Ancient Agora, really bringing to life the myths and history of the city of Athens.
Elena’s impressive and inspiring knowledge is what really made the tour special. As a history lover, it was refreshing to have a tour guide who was so engaging and passionate about the history, and from many different perspectives - archaeological, social, cultural, economic and more. Elena not only answered any questions we had, but encouraged rich and insightful discussions that were both a pleasure to have and enriched our knowledge of the world of Ancient Athens.
One of the best tours we’ve ever been on, worth every cent!

This tour was excellent and i'd highly recommend it to anyone who's keen not just to go on a walking tour, but specifically hear about the greek myths.
The tour started on time, and our guide (Alex) was excellent, not only friendly and highly knowledgeable, but he gave the impression that he couldn't tell you enough information, which was really great, it felt like we weren't just hearing someone read out a memorised script, but we were hearing real information and stories.
The tour hits all of the major sites you would want to hit, and while quite long at ~4 hours, it felt like we had plenty of time to enjoy the various sites, rather than being rushed around.
Alex also included several stops to use toilets and re-fill water bottles, which again was nice to feel considered.
The only downside is the booking was a little confusing. The advert makes clear that tickets/entry are not included in the price. Which is fine, however it isn't exactly clear what entry tickets you do need to purchase. You only need to purchase two tickets (for the Acropolis site, and the Agora) HOWEVER you must book at a specific time, which again, the company isn't particularly clear about in the listing.
The company will happily pre-purchase both of the entry tickets on your behalf. I highly recommend doing so to avoid the nuisance of sorting it yourself.
Aside form the booking process, the tour was the best I've been on in years, I highly recommend it.

This was a great time. Michail was a fantastic guide and made the whole experience great. It’s 30 euros for a package entrance to go to 8 places (the tour only does 3 but the tickets are good for 4 days). A bit of walking between places and the acropolis is up high. The tour guide does a good job stopping and looking for shade/seating. It is a bit hard getting up but it’s worth it and we did move pretty slowly. There was one about 90 yo lady with a walking cane who made it up; slowly but she did. I would recommend shoes with good grip because some of the stones are marble so they are slippery. BRING A WATER BOTTLE. There are fountains at each stop to fill up and you will need it. There are also WCs at the first 2 stops (not sure about the last).

We did the tour of Athens mythology (Acropolis, Parthenon, ancient Agora) with Anna Papadom, the French-speaking guide. Anna was very patient, answered all our questions, listened to my son's comments (5 and a half years old), and knew her job very well. We exceeded the planned 4 hours, but she was committed to showing us everything interesting on the sites. We highly recommend a guided tour in French with Anna at 100%.

This tour was one of several we did as a family with various vendors while visiting Athens. As a comparative (like Key Tours) this was the most expensive and the least enjoyable. Little commentary from the guide often left us confused, not knowing what we were looking at, or its historical significance. The tour, billed as, “small group” was actually 25 people (not small). The sites we thought were going to be much more than what we actually saw, just the acropolis and Ancient Agora. Save your money… these can be purchased on site with English speaking guides also on site. Value for money wasn’t there, again they lure you with promises of all you will see then AFTER you book tell you - you need to spend another 32 Euro p/p buying tickets to the sites. You can easily buy a combo ticket online for 30 euro and see more than what this tour operator offered. NOT A GOOD VALUE!

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We strive to provide engaging and informative tours, and we regret that you felt the commentary was lacking. Our small group tours have a maximum of 15 people, so there may have been some confusion regarding group size. We also aim to be transparent about additional costs and clearly state that tickets are not included. We advise our clients to either book the tickets themselves or allow us to assist them in purchasing them. Your input is valuable, and we will use it to improve our services.

MUST DO in Athens. Wholeheartedly recommended. Don't think about it, just book it! Exceptional tour experience. The tour guide (Michalis, you’re amazing!!!) played a significant role in making the trip memorable.
The itinerary covered all the must-see attractions in Athens, including iconic historical sites such as the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and the Ancient Agora of Athens. The tour guide was very thoughtful in stopping at shade spots to shelter us from the blazing July sun and also ensured that we had ample time to explore each location, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the rich history and culture of Athens.
The guide's knowledge and passion for the city were truly commendable. Their expertise in Greek history and mythology was extensive, and they brought the stories behind each site to life (captivating story-telling). Their explanations were clear, engaging, and filled with fascinating details that made the tour both educational and entertaining. I genuinely appreciated their ability to make ancient history relatable and relevant to our modern lives. Knowledge bombs were dropped and enjoyable learning took place!
Furthermore, the guide's enthusiasm and genuine love for Athens were contagious. Their pride in their city was palpable, and it made the entire experience even more enjoyable. They went above and beyond to ensure that everyone in the group felt included and engaged, answering questions with patience and enthusiasm. Their warm and friendly demeanour created a welcoming atmosphere, making it easy to approach them with any inquiries or curiosities.
Additionally, the guide's organisational skills were exemplary. They managed the group efficiently, keeping everyone informed and ensuring that we stayed on schedule without feeling rushed. Their attention to detail was evident in the seamless transitions between different locations and their ability to navigate the city effortlessly.

We took the guided tour on a Sunday morning. First of all, be careful with the GPS you use, we used Google Maps, and it did not take us to the right address (took us to Porte d'Hadrien and not Arch of Adrian).
Once we arrived, late due to this inconvenience, our guide Émilia was really charming and available if we wanted to catch up on the information we had missed earlier.
The visit lasted 4 hours, which is very long. We knew this in advance of course, but we couldn't find a shorter tour on the website.
Emilia gave us a lot of very interesting information throughout the visit and juggled between architecture and Greek mythology.
However the visit is not at all interactive, we found that a shame, it lacked a little passion on his part (in our opinion) and everything went very quickly because there was a huge amount of sites to do in 4 hours.
There was no real added value from the guide and gave a bit of the impression of a recited lesson.
The visit itself costs €107 for 2 people, plus €66 for the entrance to all the different sites that we visited during the 4 hours. I find that the visit is not worth the €173 for 2.

Tour guide was very knowledgable, friendly and made the trip worthwhile.
The group size was not too large or small, just right, thirteen in all. The guide involved everyone asking questions to see the knowledge of the group regarding Greek gods etc.
Plenty of photo opportunities during the trip. We found the more cost-effective option was to self purchase all entry tickets in advance.

Michalis was an excellent and very informative guide for our Acropolis tour. He was clear and concise and ensured everyone was able to hear him and feel engaged. He paced our tour so nobody felt rushed or couldn’t keep up. He provided us with such interesting mythological history and stories to really make our tour come alive. I would recommend this tour. Please know you will be expected to pay an additional 30 Euros for entrance fees, but the combination ticket will let you visit a number of historical sites over a number of days. I thought $100 CDN was pricey, then with the additional entrance fees. But we took a chance and feel very satisfied with what we experienced and learned that day.
