- C7277VGleom00Greate guide, great day!Our guide Viki was incredibly friendly, and was a wealth of knowledge on history. The bus ride to Delphi is about 2 hours each way (with a stop half way for restrooms/snacks), but Viki did a wonderful job of keeping us entertained. She taught us some Greek, taught us recipes of traditional Greek food, and shared lots of fun facts and anecdotes. The archeological site itself was fascinating, as was the museum. The lunch was delicious with a picturesque view over the valley. Overall, it was a terrific day that was enjoyed by all.
- ViajeroRG00Beautiful and mythological trip. The tour was fantastic, well narrated by a very professional guide (unfortunately, I forgot her name) prepared with a huge amount of knowledge and always opened to any question. The bus driver (excellent driver, Asteris) was very welcoming when he noticed I could speak greek (a little). It is important to consider that this visit doesn't include the Athina Pronaia site. If you are in Athens and you want to spend 1 day, escape to Delphi, the center of the ancient greek world. It's totally recommended!!!
- pluralty00Spectacular viewsMeteora monasteries are astounding. This tour enabled us to visit a couple and enjoy magnificent views of these rocky crags and barely believable constructions. The accompanying tour of Delphi was a great acheologcal/tourist experience. Well organised and informative trip
- janetgJ6869TN00Great tour and guide.the sites we saw were spectacular. Our guide was fabulous. the only critique is that all the rooms are in the same chain of hotels, so although I paid extra for first class accommodation, the room was seemed to be their standard room. The bus going back was delayed because of rain and thunder.
- Carlos F00A great experience. If interested in cultural and historical sites, this is definitely one of the places to go. It was a great experience for me. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends.
- 828stanislavp00Rewarding experience of search for the spirit and wisdom of ancient myths.Smooth trip, well organized, on time, respecting the individual needs of participants. Principal asset was our wise and enthousiastic guide who shared with us the riches of ancient myths, beliefs, traditions, arts and ways of living. Excellent and efficient lunch.
- mini176400Good cruiseThe only island wr really enjoyed visiting was the Hydra. It is more about the cruise than the islands
- shellback1700Fantastic guide! Our guide was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and she gave us history and other information about Greece on the bus ride to Corinth. We could have spent longer in the museum, but given the time constraints (it's only a half day tour) it was great! The only downside was that the pickup was a bit disorganized and no food or coffee was allowed on the bus.
- zurlao8100Must see location in GreeceDelfi is a fantastic place and the guide was very kind and helpful. If you are looking for a simple solution to visit this important archaeological site but don’t want to hire a car this is a perfect solution. The bus ride is about 2 hours from Athens city center.
- Ahsanur R00Half day sightseeingTour was well paced, not rushed, we had enough time. Our tour guide was super informative and we learned a lot in the process which made the archeological sites and Museum tours very enjoyable.
- jeanner33700Exceeded expectationsThis tour is very well organized, the bus was clean and new, and Corinth and the Corinth Canal were a fascinating places to see. The Corinth Canal was Our guide Vicki was Outstanding. Her narrative began the moment the bus pulled away from the meeting place in Athens giving us interesting facts about every landmark we passed on the way to Corinth. She was very knowledgeable about the history both Biblical and archaeological. We are so glad we did this trip.
- H8611QOlaurenb00Mystical Mountain TemplesMy wife surprised me with this tour for our honeymoon - I had seen pictures of Meteora's monasteries but didn't know where they were until she showed me that she'd found and planned a trip to see them. Delphi was beautiful - we arrived during a lull in the rain and the sun hit the wet open floor tiles of Apollo's Temple to shimmering effect for great pictures. The long bus ride to (and from) Meteora - extended in our case due to avoiding areas of flooding from the unprecedented rainfall - was lightened by our knowledgeable, upbeat, and humorous tour guides. After an overnight stay and buffet at the glorious Amalia Hotel, we were graced at last with the once in a lifetime views and tours of the pillar-top monasteries. Words can't do them justice, nor can a 1000 pictures. You simply must go yourself!
- GMcCl2300Good tour for visiting DelphiDelphi was awe inspiring with amazing views and well worth the long coach journey. The museum was full of interesting artefacts but was very busy so felt a little cramped at times. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly but we found it difficult to hear her from the back of the coach. The tour provides a decent amount of free time to explore the site at your own pace and had plenty of stops for drinks and toilet breaks. We had lunch included which was really nice but it was a set menu with limited options.
- stephencF4848SE00Fabulous fascinating day out!Well worth the drive! Absolutely stunning location, incredible views and fascinating area. Our guide was really informative. Would recommend booking with lunch as we didn't and it looked lovely! Would thoroughly recommend!
- susiem201900Terrible! We would have had a better experience on our own!Not only did Dominique, our tour leader, leave one of our traveling companions at a stop that we made, and only realized it 30 minutes after we’d left, she also, whenever something happened she said, “we’ll, that’s not my fault!” Really?

Absolutely worth the travel time from Athens. The guide was knowledgeable and the sites were very interesting. Definitely recommend this. (Note—skip the pre-paid lunch and request a drop off at Napflio to have lunch at a seaside cafe.)

I went in this tour mainly to see the mountainous countryside and because of an interest in history, and it was just super easy with my limited time. We were lucky to have a small group of 9 with a van so it was very comfortable and the guide was interesting. The lunch was boring / bland and indoors in a hotel out of town. I really wish I had realised that if you didn’t select the lunch you’d be dropped in the old town of Nafplio for an hour and a half to find your own meal, as this would have been much more fun. I just really enjoyed the views and the chance to get out of the city for the day

Overall, it was a nice and interesting way to spend a day, made better by the fact we only had 12 on the large, wi-fi equipped bus. The guide was pleasant, knowledgeable and spoke English well. The 4 stops (the cool
Corinth Canal (who knew?), the UNESCO Mycenae and Epidaurus sites and the lovely, quaint Nafplion town) were spaced so as to break up the bus time, but there was still a lot of it. The nice weather and great views made that OK. Definitely agree with others it’s best to skip the group lunch and take the option to be dropped by the harbor for self-arranged lunch and more time in town. We happened upon the Rossi Music Cafe and Wine Bar and recommend it. Very interesting place with good food, prompt service and relatively inexpensive.

It was an excellent tour, wonderful quiet sights, a knowledgable engaging guide, a pleasant bus and some very nice travelling companions.
The one big but in this is the awful lunch in a plasticy vile hotel, nowhere near anything beautiful.
It was also the only bad meal that I have ever had in Greece. Chatours should be ashamed of themselves as it just marred an otherwise wonderful day.
Take the tour and not the lunch
I am a guide and often stop for lunches in Greece and usually they are wonderful but this was truly tourism at its worst.

Would be good if the company sends a message (at least) with information about pick up and departure time info days before.
I tried to contact them by tripAdvaisor but I get no response, I had to go personally to the main hotel where tour starts the day before to get this info.
Besides that, overall tour was fine

The guide lady is very knowledgeable, telling us interesting stories about Greek history, geography, food and mythology. It’s a very pleasant experience. Short layover Corinth Canal and Nafplio was really nice.

I would have given this a four but for the lunch experience. We were coerced into eating at a hotel in the middle of nowhere (poor menu choices) and THEN taken to Nafplio for a short walk about. We could have skipped the poor lunch and would have then had more time in Nafplio where there were cafes all along the waterfront. It reeked of nepotism towards the hotel at the cost of the tourist. Otherwise, a good tour. As previously stated, not nearly enough time to view the museums at the sites but it was a long day. If you want more time, I suggest you stay over night in the area and plan accordingly.

We are thanking you for your feedback.
Unfortunately we can't skip the lunch in a full day tour as the majority of our clients wish to have lunch in their package.
As per our advertised itinerary we provide short stop in Nauplio.
Kind regards
Hara

Amazing, staff are friendly and informed. Great price for what it is and a great way to get out and see the sites.
Only thing I would like is a little more time to see the sites. Mycenae especially felt rushed (1 hour) but i'm a history nerd and normally spend an age at these things so personal preference. Without the trip I wouldn't have seen it otherwise and it's definitely worth seeing.

This was my favorite tour. I think a huge part was the guide. Joy was AMAZING. She was fun and very knowledgeable. She cared for all the guests and made sure everyone was comfortable and good. I chose to pay for my lunch which worked out just fine. The others got a course meal that seemed very bland whereas I got to pick a greek plate.

A lovely trip through ancient history brought to life by our knowledgeable tour guide, loads to see and try to remember. On the whole worth the log day.
My only complaint would be that on the way back there were ships in the canal showing how narrow it actually is and we were not given notice that it maybe worth a look, we would like to of taken a couple of pics . Apart from that great tour.

I have a number of food allergies. Is there a vegan choice for lunch?

There was salad and bread I think. I don't specifically remember a vegan option one way or another. You can also order drinks like beer and wine I think. I just don't recall that well. I remember on another trip I took similar to this one to Delphi someone asked for gluten free on the fly and they got a stuffed pepper. It looked pretty good and she said it was. You could try to figure out the hotel/restaurant they stop at and contact them. It was the Hotel Amalia Nafplio.

Silly question but when the guide says ‘pick up at your Athens hotel’ does this mean it stops at various hotels? Do they ask you for your hotel when you book so that they can do a stop at your hotel to pick you up?
Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply, did not see the question, they pick you up either from the hotel or walking distance from close by hotel.
When does this tour drop you back in Athens?
