- mini176400Good cruiseThe only island wr really enjoyed visiting was the Hydra. It is more about the cruise than the islands
- shellback1700Fantastic guide! Our guide was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and she gave us history and other information about Greece on the bus ride to Corinth. We could have spent longer in the museum, but given the time constraints (it's only a half day tour) it was great! The only downside was that the pickup was a bit disorganized and no food or coffee was allowed on the bus.
- zurlao8100Must see location in GreeceDelfi is a fantastic place and the guide was very kind and helpful. If you are looking for a simple solution to visit this important archaeological site but don’t want to hire a car this is a perfect solution. The bus ride is about 2 hours from Athens city center.
- selenam56400Whirlwind educational adventure!I very much enjoyed my Chat Tours day trip to Mycenae and Epidaurus! My tour guide, Stathei, was informative, funny, and accessible. I especially enjoyed the information he provided about broader topics of interest while we were on the road such as the fishing industry’s role in the Greek economy from antiquity through the present. For me personally, the unstructured/free time spent at each archaeological site felt too short (just 0.5-1 hour) to see everything I would’ve liked, but I understand that the schedule necessitated this given how much ground we covered in a single day trip. In the future, given my desire to take my time with sites and museums, I’d probably select tours that focus on a single site or multi-day excursions. I was very impressed with the lunch upgrade I purchased as well! Excellent menu and service. Another trip highlight: driving through the gorgeous rolling countryside of Corinth whilst learning about its history and unique role in Greek agriculture.
- Ahsanur R00Half day sightseeingTour was well paced, not rushed, we had enough time. Our tour guide was super informative and we learned a lot in the process which made the archeological sites and Museum tours very enjoyable.
- jeanner33700Exceeded expectationsThis tour is very well organized, the bus was clean and new, and Corinth and the Corinth Canal were a fascinating places to see. The Corinth Canal was Our guide Vicki was Outstanding. Her narrative began the moment the bus pulled away from the meeting place in Athens giving us interesting facts about every landmark we passed on the way to Corinth. She was very knowledgeable about the history both Biblical and archaeological. We are so glad we did this trip.
- H8611QOlaurenb00Mystical Mountain TemplesMy wife surprised me with this tour for our honeymoon - I had seen pictures of Meteora's monasteries but didn't know where they were until she showed me that she'd found and planned a trip to see them. Delphi was beautiful - we arrived during a lull in the rain and the sun hit the wet open floor tiles of Apollo's Temple to shimmering effect for great pictures. The long bus ride to (and from) Meteora - extended in our case due to avoiding areas of flooding from the unprecedented rainfall - was lightened by our knowledgeable, upbeat, and humorous tour guides. After an overnight stay and buffet at the glorious Amalia Hotel, we were graced at last with the once in a lifetime views and tours of the pillar-top monasteries. Words can't do them justice, nor can a 1000 pictures. You simply must go yourself!
- Celina F00Very interesting tourExcellent guide, very interesting, and charming. The bus was very good. And the temple of Poseidon a must see. Very glad we decided on it.
- Adventure22488400Delphi and Meteora incredible destinationsDue to flooding we experienced 10 hours extra bus time to get to the locations and subsequently missed out on time in the village and events the next night in Athens. Not arriving for dinner until 8:30 PM. There were many complaints about the lunch destination selected by the tour operator as a tourist trap, poor food, and expensive. It may have been better to take the train from Athens to Meteora. Aphrodite section of Delphi was unavailable to tour? Because we were moving to Meteora there was no time for us to go to the museum. For some reason the other tour companies had arrived hours ahead of our tour operator - CHAT from the same destinations?
- jokkeh14400Don't miss the Acropolis MuseumThe guide made the historical sights come alive with her stories. The Acropolis Museum was a real gem. I definitely recommend including the museum in the trip.
- mariaf_timas202300Acropolis and acropolis museumCareful and excellent guide, lots of information of the ancient greek history. It was a great tour
- Tony K00Bucket list tickWe had a fantastic time with the family beautiful hotel accomodation comfortable coach the drivers where fantastic and the guides where very knowledgeable. And the views my god the views where amazing big tick from a bucket list.
- U6189WGalexm00Worth doing, decent priceIt was a great day out, well led by our multilingual guide and I think ok value for money. Would certainly recommend.
- Amanda L00Great tour if you are pressed for time. The half day tour is a bit rushed and was a little difficult to hear the guide due to crowds and connectivity with the headsets provided.
- 669vann00Absolutely love itI could not complain anything about this tour. The Acropolis is really a masterpiece. The tour guide and driver are very good (sorry I forgot their name). The tour guide is a very humourous lady and she understands very well the story. She also chose the good spots for us to take wonderful photos. The Acropolis is more well worth the trip than Poseidon but anyway it is still good.

I cannot recommend Delphi strongly enough; however, I regret booking through Key Tours. We had to be on the bus at 7:30am just to spend an hour and a half driving around Athens picking up people from their hotels. We were rushed at every stop. The staff was brisk and impatient. Considering there were nearly 50 people on the bus, they did not allow enough time for all of their patrons to use the restrooms. The food was mediocre and you don’t have the option to choose a different restaurant. Despite this, the views from the Delphi theatre can’t be beat. Definitely worth taking a day trip from Athens.

We really enjoyed this day. As we expected, the landscapes of Greece are breathtaking and we could get amazing pictures. Our guide Effie was the best of the bests, amazing storyteller, pacient and a real enthuziasthic person. Our driver Asteris was a real profesionist and drove as safe and sound everywhere . The Lunch was basic but is all you need, the free time around the spots was just perfect!!
We really reccommend Chat Tour!

Our tour guide Joy lives up to her name! Wonderful personality with an obvious love of her subject. Her English was perfect. The driver Pavlo was also great. I recommend this day trip to anyone coming to Athens… it truly opens one’s eyes to the Beaty of Greece out of the city, plus the magical Delphi and it’s stories plus the remaining ruins are a feast for one’s mind and soul at the same time. To be standing there with the mountain views was spectacular. The layers of history that comes alive is incredible. You can see why the spot was chosen for worship.
We did not buy the lunch (I have allergies and was being careful), instead we took our picnic lunch and sat in the tiny town of Delphi on a step overlooking the valley and breathed in the wonder of the surroundings. It was also enjoyable at our other stop on the way back.. we saw more of which we’d love to return to dive in deeper someday.
FYI most of the bus went for the lunch and when asked if it was good, we were told it was ‘adequate’, so my feelings of FOMO when the bus drove off without us (we had an hour on our own) was unwarranted in the end. There are a bunch of cafes and restaurants in Delphi the town, and so if we wanted to buy lunch we would have been fine to do so.
Definitely would not have found Delphi on our own, and no worrying about renting a car when someone else can drive you there! A+ for this tour!

Super interesting but a very king day. Pick your tour wisely. Our tour was in 2 languages which made it twice as long to get through things so we missed bits. We should have had plenty of free time to get to the top to see the stadium where we only had 25 min. Edie they were meeting in the museum, by the time we got to the museum there was a 15 min line to enter so hardly saw anything there, if we had been on a single language tour, would have been no problem.

It was an experience you don’t want to miss. The climb can be challenging but it’s worth it. One of the highlights of our trip.
Excellent guide. Would have given 5 stars if the driver was friendly and considerate, but the bus was turned off anytime we stopped, even for 20 minutes for bathroom breaks, so the bus heated up to a miserable temperature every time that happened. And it stayed uncomfortably hot for long periods of time.
Also, we read in the ad that they would do pickup service. So when I asked about it, they refused to pick us up, even though we had 7 in our group and it would have only been 2/3 of a mile; so that complicated things. When we were on our return, and they were getting the list of hotels to drop people off, I asked again. The guide scoffed at me as though I was trying to pull a fast one or something. I didn’t understand why they wouldn’t drop us off, as it would have been so easy and they advertised that this was their service. So one of the older ladies in our group fell down on the walk to our hotel… :(
Other than that, all was so fun and worthwhile. The lunch was amazing - worth a large portion of the price of the tour in a resort facility owned by the same hotel from which the tour originated. 5 star experience in a resort environment.
Other than the inexplicable comments about drop off and pick up service, the tour guide was extremely good at what she does, very pleasant, and likable.
Delphi itself is an amazing experience. It’s a few hours from Athens, and the drive there should be a tour in and of itself, as the half of the drive closer to Delphi is through such picturesque mountains that we probably took as many pictures of the breathtaking Mountain Views as we did in the sites at Delphi. Along with the stunning mountain views, you’ll find the most interesting and pretty mountainside villages to enjoy along the way.
So, with the excellent tour guide, several hours of round trip driving in a nice bus, a truly fabulous meal, and tickets to the site and museum all included, this trip is a really great value for the modest price of the offering. If the driver would just leave the danged air on, I’d give it 5 stars. (But he won’t…lol).

So, the trip was fun. Great guide, the food was better than expected and obviously Delphi is magnificent. There were however, two things that bothered me.
(1) We didn't get to visit everything under the "what to expect" headline. No Springs and no Temple of Athena. But we did take ten minutes to take pictures overlooking... a skiing village? In the summer? Just feels like that time could have been spent visiting an ancient site. It's not like anyone takes this tour to visit a town where, half a year from now, people are gonna be skiing. Just seemed like they were trying to sell me a winter holiday in Greece.
(2) Since I could not provide a proof of vaccination, I could not visit the Museum. Now, I understand why that's the case. A law went into effect today that bars unvaccinated people from places like that. I fully respect that, but I would have liked Key Tours to inform me, a tourist, about that and to maybe advise me to take a rapid test in advance, or alternatively tell me what I could do in the meantime rather than sitting around.

We booked this knowing it was a large coach which was not the issue. The issues was our first stop was a service station 2hrs out of Athens and about 45 to an hour out from Delphi still, there was nothing to view there so we had to sit and wait to get back on the bus after 20 minutes. Then we get to Delphi, our guide whom was excellent and knew way to much! Took us slowly up the hill stopping and explaining as we went (most times with no shade on a hot day) then she gave us 50minutes to explore the theatre and climb the hill to the top to see the sports stadium which took about 20min each way especially in the hottest part of the day. We then had to rush to meet her outside the museum (with very little time for a toilet break) to walk around that with her and not being able to freely explore and read ourselves. It would have been nice to have had a little more time in the museum. We then went to lunch (well those who booked lunch) the rest of us where dropped off in delphi Town for an hour, once picked up we drove for like 15 minutes until our toilet break / last stop of the tour. This does not make sense to us for a toilet break so close to the last one (lunch break). The drive back to Athens was 2hrs so a stop closer would have made more sense.

Dear client,
Thank you for your review.
Please be informed that It is mandatory from Greek law that drivers must stop every 3 hours therefore we have to do these stops please the driving hours from Delphi to Athens is min 3 hours as there is traffic time in Athens at 19:00.
If police stop the bus to check driver's card and saw driving hours are over than 3 hours immidiately stopping the bus and our company must send another driver.
In order to avoid delays we providing these legal stops.
Kind regards

Really enjoyed this day trip to Delphi - worth the time and money! It was a beautiful place and the drive there was very scenic. The guide was very knowledgeable and her commentary was very interesting. My only criticism is that the stop at Arachova on the way back was very rushed. It would have been great to have more time here as it was a charming place with nice scenery and interesting shops (even if it meant we got back to Athens half an hour later). The time we had wasn’t even long enough to have a cup of tea (unfortunately we couldn’t bring take-away cups on the bus). Otherwise this was a great day trip and I recommend it if you want to see some beautiful mountain scenery and an important historical place.

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour.
The departure point was very near our hotel so we walked there. They had arranged for use of bathrooms at the departure point, and we made a stop halfway to Delphi for another bathroom and snack stop which was very nice.
Our tour guide was very enthusiastic and gave us tidbits of information the whole way, including things about Athens as we were going through the always present traffic on the way out of town.
The Site was magnificent and the scenery around the site was stupendous (mountains, canyons). The tour guide stayed with our group (43 people) the whole way. I particularly liked the receiver and earpiece they gave us to make sure we could hear her at all times. She was very informative and the site was amazing.
One small negative was that we didn’t have a lot of time for self-touring the site afyer then speaking portion. There is a ‘stadium’ up top that wasn’t part of the guided tour. The only reason I had time to go up and see it is that I jogged up the mountain and back to see the stadium, which was interesting to see.
We then went as a group to the Musuem, which was also guided by our tour guide. She was very informative again, although a bit rushed because of the time restrictions they place on the groups.
Then we stopped for lunch. We chose to not purchase the included meal and found a nice place in our own which was great. The town was quaint and nice to walk around.
Then we drove back.

Delphi is a spectacular site and absolutely worth your time but think about not taking an organized big bus tour. The company and guide were efficient but think about this - you're 11 hours in their company and you get to spend just 45 mins at the site (the 1.5 hours promised didn't materialize). There were whole sections of the site we didn't get to see because of the time constraint, and then, humans being humans, other guests arriving back from the site visit to the meeting point 25 minutes late eroded our time in the museum by the same amount. Also note, although it is supposed to be a guided tour, the time at the Temple of Apollo segment was without a guide and there were no guide books available at the site. So, take your own guidebook, book a tour just for you (or better still drive yourselves there) but do prioritize the visit - it's terrific.

We are considering the Greek mainland with our son (early twenties) at the end of March. He needs quite a lot of places of historical and Archaeological interest to keep him occupied and we aren't bothered about sunbathing.
I'm guessing that if we base ourselves in Athens many of the sites will be too far away. Any suggestions for a base gratefully received. We like a good quality hotel. Many thanks.

We had a family style lunch in the restaurant of a hotel in the mountains around Delphi. The restaurant/lobby area had a nice mid century modern vibe and the view from the wall of windows was beautiful! Food was traditional Greek style and very good. Can't remember all we had but there were several courses, and a LOT of food, including a yummy custard-type/pie dessert!
