  • Learn about the rich history of this ancient trading city from your guide
  • Share as you go without the roaming charges: Coach has onboard Wi-Fi
  • Skip the navigation stress: includes pickup and drop-off at select hotels
What to expect
  • Begin your half-day tour with a pickup from your central Athens hotel or at a central meeting point. Hop inside your comfortable, air-conditioned coach and admire the scenery as you travel along the coast to Corinth. Stop to see the Corinth Canal, the narrow, 19th-century canal that links the Saronic Gulf of the Aegean Sea with Ionian Sea. Take snaps here and then continue to the archaeological site of ancient Corinth, an important trading city in Greek and Roman times that stood at the meeting point of southern and northern Greece. Here, enjoy time to explore the ruined temples, bathhouse, forum, and theater, and see the bema—a stone platform where it’s believed St Paul once stood in front of gathered judges. As you stroll around the sun-baked relics, stop to soak up wonderful views over the Saronic Gulf in the distance. Afterward, return to your coach and enjoy a short stop at the seaside town of Kehreai. Your trip then ends at the original starting point in Athens.

Very knowledgable guide. Due to corona it was not crowded, which was nice. The bus was fine. If you are interested in the ancient greeks and roman culture, I would recommend this tour.

Seeing Corinth was good but there was an Acropolis on a high hill like in Athens that our guide did not take us to. We saw the main city area and agoura, and temple remains. The trip was only half a day and we got back in plenty of time to do other things in Athens. The Corinth canal was interesting but of minor importance for us.

The tour, in a new luxury 22-seater, left near Syntagma square. The organisation was spot on; the guide exceptionally informative in excellent English and the driver drove sympathetically. Learn a little about the Greek gods before going to form a coherent view of "the sights". there and back in 5 hours was just about right. However, beware that there is no time in The Ancient Corinth site for eating and drinking (which is frowned upon on the bus). Tip: there is as drinks and crisps stand in the coach car park.
The time at the Corinthian canal was just right. A magical thing happened on the way back in that you seemed to have got back without crossing it. Conveniently drop-offs were made on the route nearest to your hotel.

I have got a few points to make:
1) all the other guides around ancient Corinth were making stops in the shadow, but ours stopped only on the sun for at least an hour straight. Even thought there were some vacant shadows nearby. So me, as a pretty pale girl, I had to hide from the sun and didn’t hear most of the guide speaking.
2) it was a little boring. Not much to see there, however some of the myths told by the guide were really interesting

Hello from Chat Tours, Thank you for your review . We are really sorry that you did not enjoy the tour but we do not think so that it is our mistake . First and foremost , our guides are paid in order to offer you guided tours in the sites next to the ruins and in this way they will unfold all the stories related to them. The open archaeological sites do not provide a lot shadow places in order to stand there and talk. If we do have this chance , believe us the guides will be the first ones to go as they are spending all of the lives underneath the hot summer sun. Secondly , the fact that you found boring the ancient Corinth is not related to our services. You should have checked better the place that you chose to visit and the description of the tour. We offered our services as clearly mentioned and advertised . We hope nect time you choose an activity of your interest. Always at your disposal, Angelina Skyla.

We booked a private tour with Private Greece Tours. There were 5 of us. Corinth is beautiful, meaningful, and the weather was great. We had a Mercedes Sprinter "van" so our comfort was top notch. Best of all was our driver/guide - Dominique. He made the trip for us...fantastic! Thank you.

Fun and educational trip to see the ancient Greek/Roman ruins at Corinth. Bus conveniently picked us up at the Chat Tours office located at the Hotel Amalia. Our tour guide spoke perfect English and gave a brief history of the Ancient Corinth and the surrounding area(s). As a bonus on our way to Ancient Corinth we stopped at the Corinth Canal. This was a short stop to take pictures and grab some snacks. Once we arrived at the ruins we given a decent amount of time to visit the small, on-site museum then walk around the ruins. Our tour guide gave us a brief history of the site and was able to answer questions regarding the construction (Greeks), destruction (Romans), and famous visitors (St Paul). Overall a very nice, educational tour for those interested getting away from Athens and learning more about other important cities in ancient Greece.
