      Acropolis
The Acropolis was awesome. Learned a lot about the history. The architecture was amazing. It was very interesting how they are restoring it. The view of Athens was fantastic!

Structure of this tour needs to be revamped
Frankly, this tour was a disappointment and needs to either be reworked or described differently. In truth, it provided a small sample of Greek street food - at no time did we sit at a restaurant- Rather, we grabbed spaces at stands outside street food restaurants- small yogurt with sweet jam toppings, olives from the market, a small sample of a couple of pies, a souvlaki sandwich, and fried donut holes. The quality of the food was good - no complaints there. The only beverage was a bottle of water at the beginning. Typical food tours leave you over stuffed - this one left us with enough food to not be hungry, but nowhere near full. The starting spot for the tour was strange as it was a fair distance from everything else on the tour - we assumed it was for the yogurt place- which was good, but for a Central Market tour, starting in Monastiraki Square would have made much more sense. So, if you choose this tour, expect a small sampling of street food, and a pleasant walk with a quick stroll through the Central Market. If I were running the tour, I would start closer to Central Market, and include either a cheese shop, be given a lesson on what and how to buy goods at the market or a short restaurant stop with a beverage. Greek food is so good - and we expected more from this tour than we got.

      Recommended tour of the Acropolis
Went on the walking tour to Acropolis on tour 14 at 5pm on 14/5. The guide was excellent, sorry can't remember his name. He was very engaging and we had lots of breaks up the long path to the Acropolis. Would recommend this tour and the 2 hours went quickly with lots of interesting history and great views. Stopped for photo opportunities along the way and great views of the cities. Great experience.

      Thank you Vicky!
We had a fantastic guide in Vicki (sorry I forgot your full name!) we visited on Saturday 11th May, she was engaging, knowledgable and threw in a good couple jokes too! Couldn’t recommend her enough. Very accommodating to a family traveling with young children. Made the whole experience so much more enjoyable having Vici , she’s a credit to your company!

Overview of the Acropolis and Parthenon
This tour had two start times, Early morning and at 11:30am beginning at the Metro station near the Acropolis Museum. It had the best sound system of the many tours that I have taken over the years. The guide was knowledge, very good English, a bit wordy with explanations, I believe out of enthusiasm of education. Wait lines at the Parthenon was about 20 minutes but can become an hour. The climb up was relatively easy but not handicap accessible. Unfortunately time management is important for the tour, since we spent too much time at the Parthenon and had only 45 minutes at the Museum, although Easter celebrations complicated the time table also. There are many sidewalk cafes available before and after the tour as are convenient hotels near as are many shops. Great tour and would recommend as introduction to Athens.

      Great and informative
What a great experience. Our guide was really knowledgeable and delivered all the information in a funny and easy to listen way. Its a big climb to the top but this was made very easy because the guide paused often to point our more interesting facts and give us time for photographs. Would highly recommend

      Great tour and Excellent Guide!
This is was a nice detour from a five long official visit. This tour took me back in time. I felt like I was there with the ancient Athenians as the build these magnificent buildings. Despite the fact that they have long passed their glory, they are still awe inspiring. The tour guide patient and informative. It was great value for money.

Paid however we received a confirmation that was not honored- paid twice for 2
We never received the official tickets therefore had to pay for new tickets to both Acropolis and museum when we arrived! The tour did not disappoint however paying double for both of us was not what we expected!!

      Chaotic but good
Was very difficult to find the line to join for a rebooked ticket. Very chaotic.. no signage at all. Also in comparison to the Colosseum in Rome and what those tickets get you for €18 I would say €32 for the Acropolis is a little too much.

      Acropolis walking
The tour guide for group (19) was exceptional, she took the time to explain the history of Greece and detailed explanation of archeology of Acropolis. The negative comments we have is that we should arrive at the meetings place at least 15 minutes before the start of the tour at 8:30am. But other tour participants didn’t arrive until 9 am. We highly recommend a very good and comfortable shoes with good traction.

Outstanding experience at Acropolis and the museum
Excellent tour, highly informative, academic level, blending historical data from archeological studies with data originating in ancient literature. I highly recommend this tour! Do not skip the museum tour! Thank you, Hermes!

Great guide but needed more information about entry to museum
The guide did an excellent job. We feel that we were not given enough information about where to meet the guide and about whether we should get our own tickets or pay the guide to procure them.

      Worth getting up early!
Yes it’s an early start (7:45am) but so worth it! We were the first group in at opening and went straight to the top, the Parthenon. It was beautiful to see the sun rise as we walked up the hill. The peace and quiet was great for taking photos and enjoying the view before the crowds got there. Yiannis was our guide and was great! He is also an archaeologist so he gave us interesting historical background and context to all we were seeing. This was a wonderful tour and am so glad we did this rather than just looking around on our own. Yiannis kept things interesting and entertaining! 10/10 recommend!

Our family had a delightful evening cooking with Niki, Stavros, and Despina (owner) in downtown Athens. A repeat customer, this time I brought sixteen of my favorite people to the experience—people that had gathered [from all over the world] for several days over the holiday to connect/reconnect with one another. We actually did cook, and then we ate our very good food: dolmadakia, roasted lamb with potatoes, spanakotiropita, zucchini balls, tzatziki dip, Greek salad, and yogurt dessert. (It worked well, cooking in one place and then eating in another area of the restaurant.)

The instructors were organized and able to teach/share about culture while also keeping the participants engaged in the tasks at hand. With a wide range of cooking abilities, the ability of Niki, Stavros and Despina to give ‘just enough’ instruction was quite impressive! And we laughed together so much. I think this experience was a trip highlight for most of the group.

Sincere thanks to this team. We’ll be back for Part 2!

    Hugs and kisses,
    Suzanne and family

We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class. Rena was an excellent teacher and chef. We actually made and then dined on lemon roasted potatoes, spanakopita and made filo dough from scratch and rolled it out, lamb, dolomites, zucchini balls, greek salad, tzatzki sauce and dessert. We loved the wine too. After we finished making everything, we sat down for a delicious dinner! We had a fantastic time! Rena was so lovely and taught us so much about food, Greece, Greek culture, etc. We feel like she is a member of our family now!

Sophia was the perfect hostess and teacher in our cooking class. By the end of the evening, we had definitely made a new friend in her! She gathered us around the table and shared with us all the details about how to make a Greek dinner - just like her grandmother had done for her. We make Greek salads all the time at home now, and we know how to slice the tomatoes into little “pyramid,” thanks to Sophia! This was one of the best experiences we had on our Greek vacation.

'Perfect hostess' is what we love to hear, dear Amy! We are glad you got a real taste of Greek hospitality, and the unparalleled sense of sharing that accompanies a Greek dinner table. Nevertheless, for us the best part of your amazing feedback is that you carried a piece of our country in your own kitchen at home; Sophia couldn't be happier! We will be delighted to host you again, and until then, stay safe and keep on sharing wonderful experiences!

My husband, grown son, and I had a blast and learned a whole lot about cooking in general and Greek food in particular. My husband thought he didn't like spinach or zucchini until we made spanikoriapita and zucchini and cheese fritters. And he loved them! The equally best part of the class was our instructor chef Niki, who embodies the joy of Greek life with expert knowledge of gastronomy, spicing her teaching with wonderful stories of her family and travels. We would definitely do this again.
Eating the meal al fresco that we had cooked inside the restaurant was so much fun afterward. From squeezing grated zucchini to creating mustard emulsion and making phyllo dough, all participants shared in the labor, sharing wine and jokes, tips, and travels.
I have a new zest for Greek yogurt and also for olive oil 😋. I can't wait to get back home and invite our friends over for this great meal, thanks to the booklet of recipes Niki gave us!

We had a great time! Food was good, instructor was excellent and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. Would highly recommend this to anyone that likes to do this kind of activity. Only thing I would change is there should be free wine flowing. A few bottles of wine don’t cost that much and people drinking and cooking ALWAYS have fun.

This was our favorite part of our trip to Athens! Sophia is PHENOMENAL! She makes cooking a lot of fun and very personal. You really connect with traditional family cooking for a Sunday dinner through Sophia and her experience learning with her grandmother. The meal you make is sublime and eating it together with the view of the Acropolis at sunset is something that can’t be replicated. I have already made plans to go home and cook the recipes with my friends!

Great hands on experience making six different dishes of the Greek cuisine. We really enjoyed it. The host was super friendly, knowledgable and full of energy. All the dishes came out great! We got the recipes with us to try at home some time.
The restaurant has an amazing view on the Acropolis, so you can enjoy not just the cooking and food but also the view.
And it was also fun to go for a little after party with a few people we met there. 😀 We went to a roof top bar not far from the restaurant with an amazing view of the Acropolis.

Such a wonderful evening with Stella & Nikki! Each of us participated in the food prep chopping, mixing, rolling, wrapping & eating! A great introduction into fresh, healthy Greek food. We prepared 7 courses, some to be cooked & eaten hot & some cold. Everyone enjoyed themselves & was proud to be part of the meal prep team. Lasted about four hours total. There was no way we could eat it all but it was a great meal & the wine was also good! Fantastic job Stella & Nikki!
