Ricardo was extremely professional, on time, and pleasant. My wife and I were traveling abroad and he gave us confidence that things would go smoothly. Five stars, would absolutely recommend, and I hope to use his services again someday.

Maia Tours' excellent reviews on Trip Advisor led to a wonderful experience before and throughout our visit to Porto. Ricardo was extremely responsive during the planning process for customized tours across the Porto region which we accomplished as a group of 4 with pure delight. We spent 3 days together for a detailed understanding of historically significant sites and, just as importantly, for insights about contemporary life in Portugal. Extremely professional, Ricardo is a great communicator (excellent English), warm, and wonderful company. We look forward to a follow up trip to Portugal soon and to regroup with Maia Tours.

This was a fantastic tour! Ricardo was our driver and very knowledgeable and personable. The vineyard we visited was spectacular and we had a delicious lunch there. Being a private tour, we were able to take a smaller road back which brought us to the top of the mountain with spectacular views.

Our private tour to the Douro Valley was amazing. Ricardo touched base with us the day before for confirmation and was on time for pick up. The car was comfortable and exactly as advertised. Ricardo lined out our day and was agreeable to some Changes we made prior to picking us up. He is informative about the region, the wines and the area of Porto overall. I would do this tour again and recommend it to anyone looking for a personalized type tour with an intimate setting for 2-4!

A great day! Ricardo made it very special. The area is so beautiful. He took us to a wonderful winery with wine/port tasting and an exquisite lunch. This was my favorite stop. Take that back. There were many favorite stops. The breathtaking view overlooking the entire valley. Walks around scenic towns. Another great wine tasting. Just my husband and I were on the tour. We were able to customize our stops which is unique. We never felt rushed. The Mercedes was clean, comfortable and fast. Ricardo is very easy going, nice and helpful, answering all our questions! He talked the right amount and gave us our space. A+

A wonderful day out in Douro Valley expertly curated and guided by Ricardo, visiting a vineyard, enjoyed a delicious lunch and ended the trip with a boat ride along the river.

We had an excellent experience with Maia Tours and our driver Ricardo. He picked us up from our hotel in Porto and first drove us to our hotel in Douro Valley. Next day he picked us up from our hotel in Douro Valley and took us to a boat tour in Pinhao. He had us visit the Pinhao railway station and took us to two view points near Pinhao and drove us back to Porto. Ricardo was always punctual and very helpful at the various points we visited. Most importantly he is a very pleasant person who also shared some lesser known facts about Douro Valley.

We had a wonderful wine tour with Ricardo. We appreciated going to Portuguese owned wineries. He was very reliable, fun to be with and very professional. We would highly recommend this tour company!

Seeing Fatima was great, tour guide was knowledgeable but not very engaging. Too commercialized. Car was cramped for 4 adults.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our private Douro Valley Tour and Wine Tasting. Ricardo was our host and driver. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, professional, accommodating, and very flexible. He provided us multiple options to personalize the private tour to our tastes and interests. The wine tasting and lunch at Quinta da Pacheca were fabulous. We enjoyed experiencing a Portuguese winery and being educated on the wines of the region. Ricardo ensured that we did not miss the spectacular views of Douro Valley during the car ride. I give this private tour with Ricardo my highest recommendation.

Punctually at 9 am we (4 persons) were picked up at our hotel. The ride in a spacious car of a noble brand took us via Amarante to the 'Quinta da Pacheca', where we could enjoy a Wine Tasting. The lunch there was excellent. The views of the Douro River and the terraced vineyards on the way back were simply breathtaking. Our friendly chauffeur José offered us an entertaining and unforgettable day tour; absolutely recommendable!

We had an amazing day with Ricardo on our tour of the Douro Valley. He went above and beyond giving us a day to remember. I would recommend a tour and Ricardo wholeheartedly. We were taken to places not on the regular tour. A great day.

Very windy roads, our driver made the trip very comfortable. Not sure the price was worth it, but the driver was great.
