Carlos, our tour guide, was absolutely wonderful. He picked us up from the airport after we flew in from Spain. Communication was spot on and we immediately took a liking to him. He was very friendly, spoke English quite well, and definitely knew the area. The Mercedes van was comfortable and well equipped, making the tour quite pleasant. We were able to stop at several different locations and customize the itinerary a little bit. We really enjoyed the personalized service which made conversing with Carlos completely effortless. By far, one of the best tours we have done while in this part of the world. Highly recommended.

Fabulous trip with Carlos as our guide! He readily changed the itenary to include churches and squares we wanted to see. He is very smart and knowledgeable about all the sites. He is also really considerate as after giving a tour of a site, he would go get the car and pick us up. He also was a great driver with a comfortable car. The cities are charming and very worthwhile to see.

This private tour exceeded expectations, Ana made it easy with very good communication and it was very well organized from the beginning. Our driver Carlos was the best as he went out of his way ta make sure we had an awesome experience, he was very knowledgeable about wine and in particular the port making process, several unforgettable stops along the way ending at Sandeman for a great tour and port tasting. We would definitely use this tour group again, I cannot think of anything that would have made it better.

Carlos did a great job and was flexible to our needs. He is knowledgeable and made the experience great. He stopped to pick up some supplies that we needed and even went back to a stop to see if he could find my daughter’s lost headphones. And he found it!!! He didn’t need to go back and we considered it lost but he took us back to get it. What a great person to have as a guide, his friendly attitude made our trip great. The van was nice too. Overall we are happy to have booked with him.

The Douro Valley is stunning and a must-see if you are in the area. Our driver Delfina was exceptional. She was very knowledgeable of the Duro Valley and drove the mountains area as if she had memorized the roads. The van was very comfortable, and the ride was smooth. The roads are very curvy in Douro, so keep that in mind if you get carsick. Our tours ran long, and Delfina allowed us to stay longer than our day planned for. The red wines are not as fully body as I prefer in comparison than those from the Daos region, but that did not detract from the visit at all. Delfina and her team made the trip very enjoyable.

We booked a day trip to Fatima from Porto and Carlos was our guide. He could speak English very well and was able to explain the sights to us. He also waited patiently for us when we wanted to go for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Mass. We enjoyed ourselves very much.

My husband and I had an amazing experience with Endless Weekend Tours. We highly recommend this company. First, Carlos, our transfer guide, met us at the airport promptly and drove us to our hotel in a comfortable SUV. He was friendly, helpful, and informative. On August 26, we booked a private tour from Porto to Fatima, with a stop at the Alcobaça Monastery. Our guide and driver, Delfina, was fantastic! We found her accommodating, knowledgeable, flexible, and patient. We highly recommend her to anyone visiting Fatima. It was a long day, but Delfina ensured we saw all the critical points of interest, including Mass at the main church. We also had a wonderful time at the Alcobaça Monastery. We will definitely use Endless Weekend Tours the next time we are in Portugal!

My wife and I enjoyed our trip with Carlos immensely. Carlos picked us up at our hotel right on time and we headed out of Porto to Alcobaca. On the drive Carlos shared a lot of the history of Portugal, its geography and political evolution. We arrived at Alcobaca right as the monastery was opening, allowing us a relatively uncrowded tour of the facility. Then off to Nazare where we were able to drive up to and park right at the lighthouse because of a pass that Carlos had purchased (no need to make the long walk or pay for a ride on a tuk-tuk). We were able to climb onto the roof of the museum/lighthouse to view the waves and the beach as well as the village of Nazare itself. Back into the van to drive back into Nazare itself where Carlos dropped us off so we could get some lunch at one of the many restaurants (parking was in short supply). After lunch we contacted Carlos so he could pick us up and take us to see the harbor and extensive fish drying area. Throughout the drives Carlos explained many of the customs and history of the area. In addition, Carlos also gave us several suggestions of what to see and do when we continued our vacation in the southern portion of Portugal. He even took us for a few "bonus" sites to see in Porto and Gaia since we had some time left over at the end of the day (my wife and I were the only ones on the tour, so we were very time efficient). Carlos grew up in Gaia and his pride and knowledge of the area and his country served to enhance our experience and made the day a worthwhile adventure.
