Slimmy was one of the best guides we ever had, very personal and creative in mind. Good food, good tasting and good music. The timing however could be a bit better, but that was not the fault of the guide but the organization of the company and meetup point at Porto, even with pre-booking you need to stay in line and wait.

Gorgeous scenery. Nice boat trip. Knowledgeable and friendly guide (Ricardo). Croft estate wines quite nice but a lack lustre wine tasting. Let down by a very disappointing, meagre lunch at the second vineyard - Favaios which was not until 2pm. Small bowl of soup, a small salad - between 4, one ball of cod and one slice of pork. Served with wine which is £2:96 in the uk. Pretty undrinkable. A completely chaotic, earlier than expected start. Who wants to get to a day trip at 7.20 am to join a long queue to check in, having booked for 8:10? If you are expecting a classic wine tour you will be disappointed as this is a fortified wine tour with Port then Muschatel with some awful table wine at lunchtime.

The Douro valley is beautiful ! We had fantastic views and a lovely boat trip. However, it was such a shame that we felt rushed along. We only had 20 minutes in the first village which was not enough time to explore. Just take photos and toilet and back in coach . Very frustrating. Then we had to wait at vineyard as they were not ready and were split into two groups with only one person to tell us about the wine which gelt rushed. We were also told off for talking whilst we waited ! Driver and guide both good. But the company is obviously trying to fit in too many tours and we paid a lot for this.

Really enjoyed this day trip, enjoyed the the scenery as we drove through duro valley on the way to our first wine tasting and our lunch. Unfortunately we couldn’t do the boat trip as the weather was awful in the morning but our guide Rita was full of energy and absolutely amazing and arranged another wine vineyard. It was a full day also the weather improved in the afternoon good day out. Rita was one the best guides we have ever had.

Lello and Tiago made our day absolutely perfect - Tiagos driving made us feel very safe on the beautiful winding roads (we were very impressed, no wonder he has won awards for his driving! Lello was equally as amazing - knowledgable, funny and friendly. We got to know him over the day and had a lot of fun. He took time at the end of the tour to give each guess personalised recommendations from a local, very nice touch. They also played fun music on the bus to keep us entertained - including some fado! A beautiful day, a must-see for anyone visiting porto

Lello and Tiago were absolutely brilliant. This trip did not disappoint…..great depth of knowledge and commentary. Amazing driver on these very narrow roads. Amazing places to see and a fantastic 3 course lunch with the most amazing views

The drive with Jonas was very smooth. We have learnt a lot of interesting facts from Bernardo in the bus. He was a very pleasant guide. The Costa Nova has a beautiful beach. We would go for a full day trip if we were to go again, since it would be nice to have more time on the beach and in town. The boat trip was ok, but not too educative and we did not appreciate the silly jokes.

Insightful, well informed and entertaining tour. Comfortable transport. Well chosen stopping points and a town worth visiting again.

The tour guide and driver were great. Love Portugal and Bernardo told us so much about the history of the areas we saw. Fun

We loved our trip with our host Slimmy ! We had lots of laughs and he always made sure that we had what we needed! Him and Apericio (our driver) were wonderful and we highly recommend taking this tour.

We did go there for my father’s 50th birthday, everything was great, the group was amazing, and Ines made everything happen what I asked for! The wines are amazing, the cruise is wonderful! You have to to go here!

Antonio lello, the and Tiago the driver were excellent. Beautiful scenery at the winery the cruise and the walk through small towns. The lunch was excellent.

Brilliant day out to some incredibly beautiful wineries of Portugal! The group was extremely fun and lunch was delicious. Best of all, Slimmy (our guide) was the absolute best!! He had deep knowledge and insight about the history and took special care of each and every one of us, making us feel so special and comfortable. Thank you Slimmy! You made the experience. Lastly, special thanks to our driver Apanicio, who was very experienced with the terrain and drove us very safely through steep paths.
