The very worst of 10-12 hop buses I've done. Yellow bus has only 2 buses on each of 2 routes, so if you miss a bus, you have to wait for an hour. The other company has many buses. Stops are few, with small "Tour" sign and visible from only one direction. We wasted half our ride looking for audio on top level that 1 had power, 2 ear jack could go in the hole, and 3 had volume control. Boat ride was good, so consider taking a taxi (~15 euro) from cruise port, buying boat ticket and walking around the historic center.

Audio is mostly music- few facts about city and history. Red line is better than blue line but neither is exceptional. Drivers will stop and leave you for 20 minutes- you are expected to wait. Overall- I’d try a different company.

We waited over an hour each day to get a bus. 2 times, the stop we wanted were closed. Wasn’t great. Never got to go on the furnicular or trolley as the stops were closed!

This was the worst experience ever. Had to stand for the whole route, at least 1 1/2 hours. No audio for those standing and many with seats. Windows fogged over so couldn’t see what you didn’t know you were missing. Bus over packed and it was a pretty dangerous way to “explore “ the city. This couldn’t end soon enough! We didn’t get on at the first stop but the second one and when the bus got to the first stop everyone but us got off, including the driver. After waiting for about 5 minutes I asked him when it was going to leave and he said 20 or 25 minutes. It never crossed his mind that we might be interested to know that! This outfit gets a big zero in every category as far as I am concerned!

We had three days in Rome. On the second day we went on the Big Bus tour of Rome. The following day, we went on the Yellow Bus tour. This was far superior to the Big Bus with a much better quality audio guide system, a longer route, and stops at sites that were more appropriate if one is interested in significant Christian history in Rome.

Horrible communication. There was construction and stops where skipped but no warning. Also there is no way to know where you are without paying special attention to the signs on street when bus stops. Online tracking of busses is useless. Audio on bus gets out of sync with your actual location. We did both Porto and Lisbon with Yellowbus. Lisbon was a bit better but would not rate more then 2.5 stars. We waited for 1 hour at 1 point since the bus didn't stop at the sign an we missed it. At the same stop the blue bus came by like 6 times and the red bus about 3 times. Would NOT do yellowbus ever again.

Once we finally located a yellow bus we hopped on and stayed on first time around due to the infrequency of the bus arrivals. The routes themselves are excellent and provides good overview and orientation. The Duoro River boat ride was good once we identified where we needed to be and had a time allocated for our purchased tickets - this part needs to be clearly explained

This we code never came thru! We chased down the bus in 3 different locations. Each time we were yelled at & sent away to a place which again didn’t let us on!

The bus was really just a bus service. Most of the tour is just terrible music. I think it would have been better value to get a metro pass because we just used the bus to get into the city. It wasn't informative. Getting the boat was fun but it was raining and it took us over an hour to find the right place to get the boat.

Do not buy this ticket - yellow bus service known to be slow, with limited services. Sadly, we found this out after purchasing ticket. Multiple blue and red buses went by the stops, but rarely did we see a yellow bus. In the 48 hours we had the ticket we got on a bus twice, resorting at times to catching the Metro or just giving up and walking. It is incorrect to call your service HOHO when the bus runs hourly, leaving customers stranded. Wifi? Non existent the two times we boarded. Guided commentary? Non existent the two times we boarded.

Total waste of time & money!! Commentary stopped after 5 stops..no announcements of which stop we were R what we were looking at, history etc..just a boring bus ride around Porto Not knowing what we were looking at… Did the boat tour next day even Worse NO commentary at all, no history, just a boat ride around the inner harbour.. We have done numerous hip on off bus tours in cities around the world and this was the worst one ever. Will definitely never use GRAYLINE again! Wrote to customer service to complain as there were 5 of us who paid almost a $150 euros for nothing!!

If you want a bus tour where there are 2 buses across all of Porto and you can’t find either of them - then book this tour. If you are a tourist that wants to see Porto by walking trying to find bus stops, then book this tour. If you want to pay for a bus tour and only take the bus twice in a 48 hour period because you can’t find another, even when it is scheduled to come to a stop that isn’t clearly marked, book this tour. If you want to wait for a bus that never comes and passes you via the live website supposedly tracking the bus, then book this tour. Regardless, if you are a fan of walking, hate taking the bus but love paying for transportation, then book this tour and maybe you will be satisfied. Also, if you want a semi-free port tour that you have to walk over a mile to from the bus stop book this tour. If you want to be dropped off across the river from where you are supposed to be taking your river cruise, and love walking across bridges and searching for not clearly marked river cruises, book this tour. If you love RARE buses, that you never see, are invisible when the pass you via the live tracking website, then book this tour. Grab you walking shoes, because it’s going to be a hike! Me and my husband made the best of it and bought a bottle and port ever time we got lost, that to say we had a great time in Porto, just not thanks to this tour.

Ideal introduction to the city and a economic way of getting around. Be aware however there appear to be only two buses on each route, so you can be waiting a while and the so called live bus location app is no use at all.

Friend researcher the packages and you get 48 hours on the bus and then you can do the river cruise and the Port tasting. We did a full 2/24 circuit of the city on the bus. Or you could hop on and off though you need to be downstairs to press stop to get off. The cruise was pretty but not particularly informative. The surprise was the Calem Port house tasting which is really informative. They were not good value individually but were as a group.

I red in different blogs that the yellow bus was the best option on system hop on-hop off in Porto. I buyed 48 hrs + Duero's River Tour. I must the experience was very regular. The frequency of bus was poor and I saw in many opportunities that the red and blue buses were much better frequency. The traffic in Centre Porto is terrible also. So, I'd think before to decide the same option in the future.
