We had (family, five persons, a lot of experience using vip-services) a private tour from Porto to Douro wine-area, especially to Pinhao area and there winetasting, lunch and river-tour by boat. Our driver and guide was Joao Frade. Excellent service, a lot of information and good English skills. I recommend strongly. Hole daytrip was all worth of money in a reasonable price.

We had an absolutely wonderful day exploring with our fabulous driver Bernardino Sousa. A very polite, patient and happy man who showed us the awesome sights and introduced us to a wonderful lunch of suckling pig. Thank you Bernie we had an awesome day 🇵🇹🙏🙂

I would strongly advise not doing business with this company. We booked a different company, and then they sub-contracted us to ANE Tours when visiting the Douro Valley. It was so disorganized and they didn't have an itinerary, everything was just very haphazard with no plan. The two things we had been specific about, including a wine tour and a lunch reservation, did not happen and they blamed us and the original company. No one took any responsibility for the lack of communication. I asked to have them call me back to talk about compensation and no one ever followed up with me during the tour. It's honestly not worth the expense for hiring a private guide where you would expect top notch service, would recommend using a different company or just using public taxis.

Bernadino hosted our private tour at short notice. The car was plush and spotless. Bernadino was hugely knowledgeable and passionate about the area with a personal interest in the wine industry which was a great benefit to us. His English is endearing. Our experience was extremely good value for money and an excellent recommendation from the local tourist office.

We did a Douro River wine and gastronomy tour for a day with Bernardino. Firstly Bernardino is a wonderful, safe driver who speaks English very well and has lot of great information and stories. He planned a beautiful day for us in the lovely Mercedes Benz in a private tour. We visited many lovely wineries to taste Douro wines and Port and then went for a beautiful lunch in Pinhão. Having done lots of wine tastings around the works and this is one of the most beautiful places with great wines and port and friendly people! Wow wow wow. Thanks Bernardino!!

Enjoyed a half day city tour of Porto visiting all the major sites. The best way to see this city was with our private guide Bernardino Sousa!!! He did not only get us to all the hot spots but was a wealth of information explaining the city and its history. He allowed us time to visit the sites and even stop for a coffee at the Majestic Cafe! A drive along the coast highlighting the Promenade and a postcard picture taking opportunity was simply breathtaking. At the end of the tour we stopped for some Port tasting which was amazing!! Thank you Bernardino for this experience!!!

What a moment in heaven it is when you immediately are charmed by your private tour guide. That how we felt about Bernadino Sousa, our guide for the day through the Douro Valley! Bernadino was amazing and helped us to see and taste the very finest of the Douro. Wonderful, charm filled stops at cathedrals, a tile decorated marvel at the train station in Pinhao, and sumptuous tastings at Quinta Popa! The valley is known for It’s fine Port wine and Quinta de Popa did not disappoint. All day long the English speaking Bernardino filled us in in the life and the history and the people of the Douro. He was truly a godsend to us as we had the best day we could have imagined. Cheers and thank you Bernardino, you were truly amazing and gracious. Bernardino was an excellent host for our tour and we had a great day visiting guimaraes and Braga . We would thoroughly recommend this service to any prospective travellers visiting Porto - the car was clean and water was provided while at every stage we were dropped off and picked up close to all attractions

Our private driver Ivan Oliveira was a superb host touring us throughout the Douro Valley- Ivan's personal knowledge, professionalism, and friendly manner made for a perfect day. We booked a Vinho Verde tasting tour through tour hotel. We were lucky in that we ended up with a private car and driver and the driver was kind and helpful. However we visited only one winery which gave us a great tour of the gardens, only gave us 2 wines to taste Both were mediocre. The rest of the tour was sightseeing. I don’t think you could name this a wine tasting tour. The winery could have offered other and better wines from their collection. The tour company could have taken us to more than one winery.
