Joao led a small group of us on a fantastic two-hour SUP excursion on the serene Pavia River. Our surroundings were beautiful -- lush green trees on either side of the water. We were about an hour's drive east of downtown Porto. The SUP experience was a highlight of our 10-day trip to Portugal. Thumbs up for the Porto Surf School. Many thanks!

We booked a private lesson for 3 hours. Everything worked perfectly. It was our first time surfing. Antonio, our teacher was amazing. He seems to be very passionate about his job and it was fun to work with him. We also learned very quickly to stand up on the board. He also also picked us up from our city apartment (perfectly on time) and brought us back. As an extra, he gave us some great tips, the restaurants he recommended were the best we tried. All in all, it was an unbeatable experience and we would definitely come back if we have the opportunity.

I had booked a private surfing lesson. A very nice surf teacher, named Andre, picked me up at my hotel and brought me straight to the beach. He gave very clear instructions and really helped to learn how to surf. He was also very patient and fun to hang out with. Overall, it was an absolutely awesome day!

We rented wetsuits and surfboards for 10€/h. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the waves were great as well!:)

My husband and I had a great surf session with Antonio from Porto Surf School! They were very professional and helpful and took great care of us. The waves were great and we had a really nice time with a fun group of people. They even took us to a nearby spot for lunch afterwards. We ended up surfing another day with them because we had such a good time. Definitely recommend!

For a long time I had planned to enjoy a SUP Tour with my boyfriend and payed a certain amount in advance. We stayed in Porto for three days but unfortunately the weather in the upper valley had been so bad, that we could not go none of these days. We were informed quite late every morning and couldn´t even organize an altvernative. Afterwards I wrote Porto Surf School that I want my money back - this is four weeks ago now and I am still waiting...

Ricardo is a very accomplished teacher who provides very specific feedback as well as being great fun and bringing amazing positive energy to every lesson! Great experience, great people. João was nice enough to pick us up from the airport, and Ricardo was a fantastic teacher as my friend and I were both beginners. Surfed until everybody was exhausted, and then headed to a nearby cafe that has a partnership with the surf school. Good food and drinks. Ricardo then drove everybody back to the town center, and they gave us tips on things to do in Porto. Would have done it again the next day if the weather had been better. Highly recommend!

We went surfing for 1 day and received excellent tips from the instructor. Very Nice if you want to escape from the city for some adventure and ocean vibes

We did the one day corse with the guys, they picked us up and took us to a good beach for surfing on that day They bought all the equipment and t was very good quality, especially the wet suits They were excellent teachers (much better than anything I have had before) and gave very good feedback that allowed all of us to get up on the boards on our first time!! One of the surfers got injured and they dealt with it incredibly professionally!! Overall it is incredible value for money and the guys are amazing teachers. We can not recommend it enough and will 100% us them again is back in Porto

I did a 3-hour private surfing lesson with João today and had a wonderful time! Even though I am terrible at this sport, he made it easy and kept me going wave after wave. They picked me up from Porto and took us (other students in group lessons) to a beach that was 30km north of Porto, which was great as we had a lot of space to ourselves. I also enjoyed the warm up and stretching, as a person with previous back injury, this is very important! When I return to Porto in the future, I will definitely take lessons with Porto Surf School again! Thank you João and Ricardo! PS. They took care of my wetsuit and board, and made everything easy!

My family and I were looking for a surfing school that could give our teenagers (12, 16,17) a beginner lesson. We came upon salty wave after it was recommended at a nearby bar and they were truly amazing! Really great guys to talk to, that put us all at ease and made the whole experience even more fun. Highly recommended, we will visit again!

As a beginner surfer, João and the Porto Surf School helped me really progress over a three hour private lesson, where I learned to stand on my biggest waves yet! The service is very professional, including pick-up from my hostel, a full wetsuit with a beginner board, and importantly, very patient and supportive instructions. My only regret is that my vacation ended before I could take another lesson! I will definitely surf with the Porto Surf School again in future trips to Porto. Obrigado!
