This was our 2nd time exploring the Douro with CM Tours. We travelled from Porto this time. We were staying in Douro last year. Had a fantastic time. The wineries were great as was lunch at the restaurant at Quinta de la Rosa. Our driver, Ivo, was amazing. We met him last year and requested him again. He is very knowledgeable about wine, wine-making and the region. He’s also got a really fun personality, tells great stories and speaks perfect English. We so enjoyed the trip and look forward to doing it again sometime. Thanks, Ivo. You’re the BEST!!!

We booked this private day trip for our team of 30. From the start I was impressed with Tatania's prompt and friendly correspondence. The trip itself was brilliant. Our guide Milena, was a delight. She worked out quickly how much information we wanted to hear and was friendly with a good sense of humour. We enjoyed a visit to the Sandeman's Port winery, had an excellent lunch with great wines included, and a peaceful boat trip along the river. The scenery was awesome! Overall the trip was excellent value too.

Brilliant tour of the Douro valley. Lunch was so much better than expected. Wine and port tasting excellent and informative. River cruise very relaxing, beautiful scenery. Sara was a wonderful guide. Can't wait to return to one of the most hospitable areas I have ever been!

We did the premium experience doura valley tour recently. We received an email confirmation the day before the tour and Tania picked us up on time from our airbnb in Porto. She drove us to the doura valley where we went to an old olive oil factory and wine company for a tasting of their olive oil and wines. From there we went to a port maker winery where we took a tour of the winery and had a tasting of port. Since we booked the premium experience, it came with a private lunch in the middle of the winery! The lunch was a picnic basket full of salads and savory pasteries and dessert, with 3 bottles of wine for 2 people! The lunch spot was great was it was not only in the middle of a winery but had a table, umbrella and trees for shade, and a bathroom. Great experience.
From lunch, we took a tour of the lake and then finished off the day with a cheese and meat plate with more wine. Through it all, Tania was a great guide -- friendly and chatty. I would recommend to anyone!
