I loved it! Tiago is so knowledgeable and personable! The river, the boat, the views, the wine tasting venues, everything was just beautiful! I would definitely recommend it!!!

Tiago was an incredible guide! The wines, the food, the views, the company - everything was amazing. The day just flew by, the perfect itinerary for a day in the valley.

We took the private tour and was really good. Its a bit of a long car ride from Oporto but when you arrive to Santiago de Compostela is totally worth it. We made it on time to go to the mass, have lunch and have a walk around the square. Then, the breathtaking view from the Sanctuary in Viana Do Castelo was the perfect ending of the day.

My cousin and I went on this together and had an amazing time! Pedro was kind, helpful and knowledgeable, as well as a wonderful driver. The trip was timely and organized with no delays. We had three different languages within our group, but still had a blast with everyone. Would definitely recommend!

Our guide and driver Antonio was wonderful! Coimbra, Aveiro and Costa Nova were great sites to visit. Antonio made our day special! Highly recommend a tour with him!

Firstly, Tiago Mendes was a first class guide! The trip itself is an absolute MUST!! Worth every penny. All the food and drink is excellent, and as and when I return to Porto, I would look to do this trip again.

This tour was excellent! Started off with a small bar/taverna on the way to start off the tasting with ‘green wines’ and a quick bite. Then onto a tour and tasting, and then lunch and more wine and port. Our guide Tiago was excellent! Would recommend!

My 6 other friends and I did this wine tour of Douro Valley on September 26th 2024. We had Pedro as our tour guide and we could not have been luckier having gotten him! He was informative, funny, caring of the city he grew up in, and we never felt rushed or like we didn’t get the full experience of a place we stopped at. We went to three different wineries and we opted in for the boat tour and we were so glad we did, it was the most beautiful experience and it wouldn’t have been the same if we didn’t have Pedro leading us along the way. We could tell he wanted us to have a great experience and he succeeded. If you are wanting to go on this tour request Pedro and you won’t be sorry!

Our group of eight from the East Coast of Canada had an unforgettable experience. Tiago was the best tour guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Every stop, the food, and especially the wines were amazing. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, thanks to Tiago’s expertise and warmth.

We had an absolutely fantastic day on this tour! Our guide, Pedro, was very knowledgeable, kind, and ensured we had an amazing time. He picked us up from the street our hotel was on. We had a group of 8 total and our tour got along very well together, which made it even more fun. The three stops we had for wine were all great and the experience was extremely smooth and well coordinated. The weather was perfect for our boat tour portion and the countryside was beautiful from the river. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would do this tour again in a heartbeat.

Everything we could've wanted and more. Our guide Nuno was the consummate professional. His extensive knowledge about the history of Portugal, the wine making process, the types of vegetation in and around the vineyards and why they were there made the trip fun and interesting while always keeping the comfort and well-being of the customers first and foremost. A true gentleman, I'm glad to have toured with him.

Pedro was an amazing guide for a spectacular day! Beautiful views as we drove the countryside to our first destination….a little bakery and quick cappuccino as we walked across a bridge and up to the top of a winding hill and scenic view to stop at first winery with wine and olive oil tastings and tour of olive oil museum and history of pressing. Next we did a small river tour and then back up to the top to a different winery with lunch and more tastings and breathtaking views. It was more than just the tastings but taking in the views and history and ambiance of the area and Pedro’s knowledge and fun facts and tips made the journey more special. We finished at another small town with 2 more tastings and meats, cheeses and bread and headed back into Porto. Thanks Pedro for a lovely day you were the perfect guide!

I wanted to like this tour. But I couldn’t. The tour operator Americo was very nice very knowledgeable however it was not what I was expecting. I was expecting a comprehensive wine tour and the first stop was a stop at up wine shop where we sat outside and they brought us out wine and cheese there’s no Conversation about wine or anything. The second stop was at an olive oil oil factory in the wine valley granted but we did not have any wine experience to speak up other than drinking wine at the tasting with olive oil. The third experience was River, even though we didn’t sign up for the river cruise, they usher us all onto the boat, where no one , narrated the tour you were asked to download guide very boring and then the last time we had a pleasant lunch in a beautiful courtyard at a winery and then after lunch, we were hurried into a room that contained many bottles of wine. They gave us a five minute speech about the differences in wine , we had three tastings three different port and then we immediately usher back into the van not worrh, the price of $145

Our guide, Pedro, was great. Along the drive he provided interesting information regarding the region. The stops we had had beautiful views and great tastings. The river cruise gives you a different perspective and shouldn’t be missed. Lunch was awesome. The viewpoint over the valley was beautiful. And the last stop was a nice break to the drive from the valley back to Porto. Excellent tour!
