      Wonderful little private hotel
Wonderful little private hotel with a lot of wonderful wooden steps nearby the mercado in the middle of PORTO. The suitcases get carried with an suitcase elevator into your booked floor. The very nice boss welcomes you personaly with a little drink. So you can feel familiar right away. The nice and helpful housekeeping-girls arroud look for your perfect breakfast ...you can ask them for your favorite breakfast egg ... In the Hotel you have a lot of modern and old things combined in a perfect arrangement. I am glad that I could be there! Thanks so much! Vera

Tile, tile, tile (and street art)
Nuno was an excellent guide through Porto as we navigated tile samples and history. He’s knowledgeable and expressive. We even saw some street art for which he was also able to provide context.

I would advise Nuno for ally friends
Nuno is one of the best guides we used to have, we travel every year in multiple cities and everywhere we take a guided. He combines knowledge of history, architecture, and city with fun, city tales, and intelligent conversation and charisma. He always helpfully with advises before and after tour and full of ideas for presents and purchases you need to make.

Terrific tiles and street art of Porto
Our group of family & friends booked a walking tour with Nuno. We were interested in the tiles and street art of Porto and Nuno created a terrific, insightful, and fun tour. We very much enjoyed our time with this professional yet approachable guide. Highly recommend Nuno!

      A Wonderful Private Walking Tour!
Nuno, an ex-architect, was fantastic even before the walk - answering all my queries with such alacrity and in such a helpful manner. This was why I chose this particular walk (the Highlights of Porto) over alternative companies offering similar walking tours. On the day, we found him to be both friendly and professional - and extremely knowledgeable. (For example, he had studied tiles for 12 years!). He gave my husband and I an excellent walk around Porto with all the main sights included whilst also surprising us with some places previously unknown to us. If you are looking for a Porto walking tour, you honestly need look no further. You will be delighted you chose Nuno!

      A must do
I had a three-hour walking highlights tour led by Susana. We covered the oldest quarters of Porto and I learned a lot about the history, culture and customs of a city that dates back more than 3,000 years. She's pleasant, fun and very knowledgable. She also provided recommendations for activities and restaurants for the rest of my visit. I was traveling solo and although the reservation form mentions booking no fewer than two people, don't dismiss this opportunity if you're by yourself. Be My Guest can probably work with you to meet your goals.

I notice & think about tiles differently now!
Nuno is terrific sharing what he knows about the history of the walled tiles along the churches, train station, houses . Tells you the about techniques used to make the tiles and who made them. Also gives info on some of the local murals. Ask Nuno anything . He will create the tour with what you’re interested in! At 1st I wasn’t sure what we were going to learn at the start of the tour but it just got better & better! It was nice that it was just the 4 of us in our group. The next 3 days in Porto we had a new interest s we’d pass other locations with tiles on the facade and realized the importance of what we learned about the tile history!

      Great History Tour through Porto
We booked the Middle Ages Walking Tour with Joanna, which was fantastic! It was like a long walk with a friend, but very informative and entertaining. We learned a lot about the history of the city and little signs that hide within it. The tour definitely made us enjoying Porto even more and wanting to come back.

The best guided tour in Porto
My objective when booking a tour with Be My Guest in Porto was to learn more about the History and culture of Porto. Nuno carefully planned a customized tour that pleased me a lot. He is an authentic living encyclopedia! Don't miss the opportunity to learn more about portuguese History, culture, art and architecture. Oh, and from what I have heard, it seems that Nuno is also a great cooking teacher.

      Excellent tour
Joana, our guide did an excellent job taking us around Porto and explaining some of its history. There was four of us on the tour which made it much nicer than being in a big group. Her English was very good as was her knowledge of Porto. I recommend this tour. You can't beat it for the cost.

      Great tour!
I didn't catch my tour guide's name unfortunately, but he was super-informative. He asked some background questions to see what I would be interested in learning about. He doesn't have a set agenda, but is totally willing to adapt to your interests, which was very nice. I like architecture and he is an architect, so I felt lucky. He provided the history of Porto and helped, via a map, how the city looked back in the day, with walls and churches everywhere. I really appreciated learning that. I found this tour was a good introduction to the city.

      A real new insight
A real new insight into Porto's street art culture and Porto's culture! I would never had such a point of view and understanding of the art works and stickers if I had not been in this tour! Nuno is very very nice and his speech and opinions were amazing!

      New, very unexperienced guide
I booked this tour based on the reviews of the previous 4 users, who all got a tour with ' Ana ". unfortunately, we did not. Not to say that the young lady we had as a guide was not friendly - she was just very nervous and inexperienced as a guide. She did take us to some of the main sights of Porto, and some great view points, however her knowledge was very limited.

Nuno was a wonderful host for our cooking lesson. Meeting a local and being invited into their home to prepare a meal was relaxing and rewarding. Just like catching up with an old friend for dinner. This was a great dive into Portuguese culture and history. We had the pork with garlic and wine sauce, with several delicious appetizers and a fantastic dessert that we made from scratch.

Best night in Porto was cooking with Nuno. We went to his local bakery, produce store & butcher with him. We prepared apps, main dish & dessert! Everything was FRESH! He served cheeses plus prepared another 3 items for our appetizers ie chicken meatballs, & lit a chorizo on a clay dish which was very impressive. He bought an octopus for our main course w/potatoes & veggie.. dessert was a creamed brûlée that I lit the sugar to caramelize the top! I burnt the top of one so Nuno easily fixed it. He’s such a gracious host and so knowledgeable about the history of Porto/ Portugal! He’s very accommodating if you can’t eat certain foods
PS. The day before we took the tile tour with Nuno : he’s a wealth of information!

We initially booked the cooking class with Nuno but went home with so much more. Nuno knows this city (and pretty much anything else) like his pocket and will give you a very personal experience throughout your stay in Porto! We highly recommend his offers and couldn't have wished for more.

This was an incredibly different and amazing experience, to experience life in Porto through a local perspective. Nuno is an incredibly gracious and thoughtful host. We took an Uber to his home (about 15 minutes during traffice from the old center of Porto) and were greeted warmly. He asked ahead about dietary restrictions and planned a beautiful and bountiful meal that we prepared together. The conversation flowed as easily as the wine. It was so lovely to spend time in a home instead of a crowded restaurant and have thoughtful, lively conversation. If I am so lucky to come back, I would do this with my whole family! Thank you Nuno for a wonderful evening!

Nuno was a wonderful host and instructor. I do quite a bit of cooking myself, but I still learned a few new things, and learned about Portuguese cuisine. It was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about taking a cooking class in Porto. There was an abundance of food and great variety as well.

This was a fabulous activity for the 5 of us while visiting Portugal. First, communication before the session was excellent, as the menu and day was planned. The class takes place in Nuno's home, so it's quiet and relaxed. It's also tailored to your needs. We ate so much we ended up cancelling our dinner plans that night! The fresh fish with lemongrass straight from Nuno's garden was amazing, and I cannot wait to try to make the clams at home. He even sends a small (and growing) book of recipes to you. Nuno also gave us tips for how to spend our time, where to eat, and how to buy the best virgin olive oil. Would absolutely recommend this, even for non-cooks.

My boyfriend and I signed up for Nuno’s class during our time in Porto. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. Nuno was fun, informative, and an amazing cook. Our dinner was fabulous! Nuno also knew so much about the city and was able to answer all of our questions. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend for others to take this class!

We had a great day with Nuno. He took us for a tour of the neighborhood markets where we shopped for fresh ingredients for our meal. His home was nice and the food we prepared was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about the cuisine and history in general. He sent the recipes to us and we plan to try them out at home.

We started our experience with a trip to the market to buy groceries for our meal. We wish we would have done this on our first day in Porto because we learned so many things that could have helped us during our visit. He provided a wonderful cooking experience in his home. We would definitely recommend Nuno. It was a highlight of our trip.

I wanted something special for our second dinner in Porto and since my partner and I enjoy both cooking and Portuguese cuisine I chose a cooking class with Nuno. Of course we were also very interested in getting to know a local person under somewhat informal circumstances and the reviews seemed very promising.

We did not regret this for a single second. It was far beyond our expectations: not only the extremely delicious rice with seafood (let alone the best fruit salad I've ever had -- but come visit Nuno to learn the trick) but also the hospitality and openness of the host. Nuno is awesome, friendly, ready to share his stories and experiences, funny and knowledgeable. We spent far much more time at his cosy house than expected and had way much more fun than I would have imagined. I could not eat breakfast the next morning and barely made it to the restaurant for lunch.

I do not know when I will visit Porto again but there's much more to see than I have seen. Likewise there's much more to cook. Next time we will take a city tour with Nuno as well as another cooking class.
