    Yellow Bus Tour.
    The tour was just okay. Many of the audio systems around ours were not working. We were struggling to follow the map as the script did not always correspond. In hindsight, should not have booked as we stayed 4 days in Porto giving us enough time to see most sites. Also found the website rather difficult to comprehend. The pick up point is not at the train station as indicated but across the square. Used many such system in the past and this one for us was not worth the 96E.

    Terrible experience!!!!! Save yourself the trouble! Boring, too long, too expensive. Hated every minute.A total waste of time and money

    DO NOT USE YELLOW BUSES
    Appalling service. What they fail to tell you is that the buses operate once per hour. Queues at all stops. We were given various excuses as to why the buses were late, ranging from traffic delays to mechanical problems. A two day pass was only able to be used for half a day. The helpline was t being answered either. To compound discomfort and insult, to get around the problem of queues, most drivers turn a blind eye to the company’s “no standing on the upper deck” policy. Every trip we managed to take had people sitting or standing on the stairs or the handrail next to the stairs. If you want to take a bus tour of Porto, first choice would be the Red ones, then the Blue (Grayline) service. I certainly wouldn’t advise using the Yellow Bus. Dreadful waste of time and money.

    Wrong . Waiting time more than 1 hour
    Price ok with wine tasting and river cruise. Hop on hop off without any interest because only one or two bus by line. Sometimes only one. So waiting time is more than one hour. Duration of bus stop near 15mn. We were cooking under the sun.

    Insufficient busses.
    At certain spots along the routes, the queues of people waiting to get back on the yellow bus were just too long, making it inadvisable to get off at those points. It appears that way too few yellow buses are doing the routes. The audio guides were completely out of sync with the actual position of the bus. The positional inaccuracy of the bus also resulted in the company’s app being completely inaccurate. Overall: not recommended, rather use another company.

    Great Tour around Porto
    My husband and I wanted to get a full scope and view of Porto since this was our first visit there. The bus tour package we chose was for 48 hours - this is definitely the best option. The AirBnB we reserved was a 5 minute walk to the pick up point for the start of the 2 routes. We ended up doing one route each day and were able to see points of interest that we might not have thought about. The bus was never crowded. Our package also included the river boat tour and Port wine cellar tour - so magnificent and really exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend the Yellow Bus Tours.

    Interesting but major traffic problems
    Chose the Historic Tour. An interesting tour sadly spoilt by all the building work going on in Porto. As a result it was very much a stop/start journey in many places.

    Totally full buses- no available seats - go standing, next one only within 1h - could not do it at the end
    Horrible, could not make the trip ! I jumped into the bus in the Praça de Independência , the bus was totally full no available seats. In the next stop, 10 more tourists were entering the bus and none going off, so I decided to jump off because you don’t pay for this tour to go standing and not even hear go the audio guide. The driver said most people would only jump off in a far stop (Matosinhos), and could not do anything about it. When I entered the bus I was not informed that was no available seat before validating my ticket, and later the driver said could not cancel it. Also , driver said the next bus was only within 1h, how could we wait for that and also with no guarantee there would be seats. With the amount of turists the city is having they should definitely have more buses circulating. Unfortunately I had limited time and could not try to use my ticket later on, but I have traveled a lot and have never had an experienced like this one with city site seeing buses. Very disappointed. I saw the blue buses with many seats available, should have bought that one.

    Worth the $$
    The bus tour is what one would expect. However, this was much more considering there are two routes, and a river boat cruise. Getting out on the water was a nice refreshing cruise away for the warm neighbourhoods. Provided a revealing touch.

    Porto Hop On/Cram In Yellow Bus
    The availability of buses was absolutely terrible! When a bus did eventually arrive it was jam packed....no seating available. As my wife and I were perched on a safety handrail we consequently had no views and no commentary. To make matters worse, there appeared to be many, many more Blue & Red buses on the roads!

    Not worth it
    Yellow bus is terrible in Porto it run every hour supposedly, but I waited almost 2 hours and nothing , they had a link where you are supposed to follow the bus , however it keeps on ghosting out the bus or giving different times that are not real . I finally did not use it and just took the boat trip and the vine testing

    Doesn't respond to refund requests
    I'll start by saying I never actually used the bus. I booked a week before I went to Porto, I never actually saw any of the buses at the bus stops. I read the terms and conditions and I noticed I could request a refund within 2 weeks of booking. I emailed asking for a refund a week after booking & I've heard nothing back, not even an acknowledgement. I've emailed 3 times and heard nothing, so they've taken my money for service I never used. Why say you'll give a refund within 2 weeks of booking if you won't even acknowledge the email. Not good customer service

    Useless audio commentary with bus trip
    The guided tour was appalling, a complete waste of money. Very little information was given about the buildings passed. With awful music in between. Between stops it would have been useful to tell us what we could see at the next stop, rather than music. We went passed heaps of important looking building but not a thing was mentioned. The buses were also infrequent, ever half hour and hourly early evening. I can think of a reason why I’d use them again.

    Not very useful tour!
    Took the Yellow Bus and boat tour in Porto, bus tour was a total waste and the frequency of the buses at every stop was an hour which was very disappointing! Boat tour was refreshing!

    A disaster from start to finish!!!
    The yellow bus timetable brochure was completely inaccurate! We turned up day 1 for the bus historic tour and they had the timing all wrong. They then only gave us one ticket for the boat trip which we didn’t notice at the time as we thought the ticket was for two people. This then caused a problem at the boat area. We had to walk to the yellow tours office to get this sorted! The following day was a complete disaster as we were directed to stand at a certain pick up point but the bus then stopped at a different point. Then the driver unfortunately scraped a car just as we were leaving so chaos ensued. Nobody was told anything. We all waited very patiently for 45 to get this sorted. Then because of the delay the driver took a completely different route to what we thought was going to happen! Avoid this company completely! We wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. If we could have given this rating a zero we would have. Very dissatisfied and of course the delays took off valuable sight seeing time. Use this company at your peril!

What a waste of time !! After hanging around in the baking sun for over an hour for a bus to arrive there were no seats available and in the rugby scrum of people waiting we couldn't get on. Eventually much later in the day and at a different location we did manage to board a bus. The ear phones provided didn't work and consequently we couldn't hear the commentary, although several people who did hear it said it was not worth listening to. If you are thinking of booking my advice is don't bother

This was a thrilling ride from our hotel to the Atlantic where we walked along some superb beaches and sampled their bars and restaurants. We passed through some really charming places and stopped off to see them more thoroughly. It was a novelty for us to travel on such a vintage tram and it is worth doing if visiting Porto.

We have done hop-on hop-off tours in Paris, Rome, Athens, Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid and Lisbon THIS BY FAR IS THE WORSE, I REPEAT THE WORSE TOUR HOP ON HOP OFF I'VE BEEN ON. Staff have no regard for customers, even going as far as joking by saying "you can complain if you want (while laughing)" They are only concerned with selling tickets and not supporting their service. Busses run late and are overcrowded to a capacity that you have to stand while driving. And worse yet drivers roll by the stops and the audio does not tell you when your stops are coming up. You are expected to know where the stops are and press the stop button when arriving so you can get out. On top of that there is only one stop button on top and one below the buss!! This is robbery at its finest because you do not get anywhere the service you are expecting to pay for.

Please be aware that driver will move with you on the stairs. He Will also drive one handed whilst on the phone for some time. That said it is not easy and no accidents were experienced. If raining some bus models have upstairs seating which ooze water when wet -

Worst hop in hop off bus I have ever taken. We are in November and every single bus was at full capacity. We had to stand up for the entire (boring) ride. Poor route with a low amount of interesting landmarks. Audio commentaries were really basic stuff and poor music was playing 90% of the time.

Walk or take another transport method, its impossible to be worse than this service.

Audio is hit or miss. Many inputs do not work. One day is not enough time to really take advantage of the three options. Should be 2 day pass like some of the others

Good value for money. The Yellow Bus itself was excellent on both routes although at one point the commentary was out of sync. The information in the leaflet could have been clearer e.g. people need to know that the ticket for the funicular can only be used once either to go up or down and the ticket for the tram is only valid for 2 days once it has been validated. The discount vouchers in the discount book need to say that 1 voucher per person is needed when making a booking.

The audio system was unreliable. We changed seats 3 times before we both had a working system. Also, at times the commentary was ahead of the bus position leaving us to recall what was said when we saw the feature.

During February, this service runs with one-hour headways. That means you have to stay a minimum of one-hour at any stop, most of which do not justify that expenditure of time. And heaven forbid you miss a bus. Then you are looking at a very long wait, a good portion spent standing, as there are no benches at stops. Be warned, too, that Yellow Bus does not advise you of its headways up front, so it may take you at least a couple of long waits to catch on.
Porto has three hop on hop off bus companies-yellow, red, and blue-all competing over essentially the same routes. If they honoured one another’s tickets, there would be acceptable headways and a “hop on hop off” service worthy of the name. As it is, a more accurate description, might be “hop off and wait”.
Oh, and then there is the problem of the many seat-back audio jacks that do not work. This requires that you move around on a moving bus to find a seat where you can hear the narration, albeit feeble and repetitive.
