    What to Expect
Porto became very famous when classified by UNESCO’s title of World Heritage (1996) and with the title of European Capital of Culture (2001). This walk tour was developed for those who enjoy sightseeing culture, architecture and dazzling urban landscapes with huge miscellanea. Art, Architecture and History follow the same course, acting as important beacons in Porto’s tourism, providing a tour full of hidden mysteries and ancient legends.Apart the Baroque and Rocaille art and architecture, meet the oldest parts of the city such as the Ribeira with an outstanding view to the Douro River, where you can see the wine cellars. Discover the fascinating ball rooms of the Stock Exchange Palace (Palácio da Bolsa), with a picturesque granite façade. Stroll down through Avenida dos Aliados and witness Neoclassical buildings and wide pavements. In the end of this tour, you will find an experience that you will never regret. Experience this live guided tour and explore the traditional townspeople customs, along with the main sites and tourist hot spots of this city.
Some of the places we visit include Aliados, Church of Carmelitas, Bookstore Lello, Church and Tower of Clérigos, S. Bento Train Station, Old Market Ferreira Borges, Square of Ribeira , Square of Batalha, Majestic Café and the Market of Bolhão

Our lovely guide Marta gave us an insight into Porto history, culture and food. This helped us to enjoy our remaining time in Porto. We managed to visit many of the places she suggested and so this was a great start to our holiday.

Henriques was full of local and national knowledge both current and historical and answered our many questions. Plus it was just the two of us. Felt so lucky as we passed these groups with so many people. He said his groups were usually small
