- Connector1131668313100Excellent TourThis was an excellent bike tour and good to do at the beginning of your holiday so that you can familiarise yourself with the city. We found the electric bikes easy to use and the turbo setting made going up hills a breeze!! Our guide was informative about various areas of interest and navigated the roads with ease. We had several stops to look at views plus a 20 minute stop at a cafe for coffee and Portuguese Tarts! We would definitely recommend this tour.
- David B00WOW! Everything was great!?Wow!! Ana took such good care of us. Very informative & shared more of the history than expected. Would book again with her.
- ksharriton00Amazing Tour with CristinaCristina was our guide to all things Porto, and quickly became our new Portuguese friend! She is native born, so proud of her city and expert in the history, foods and wines of her beloved OPorto. Here are some highlights of her magical tour. If was a stunning day in September 2023 and Cristina whisked us away from the crowd and off to a wonderful adventure. The meeting place was the Porto Cathedral (Se Catedral), the most important religious building in Porto built on the highest part of the city next to the walls designed to protect it. We learned of the mix of architectural styles during construction beginning with the Baroque in the twelfth century and later rebuilding, renovations and additions. The Cloister houses its treasures and the column in the middle of the square is where the criminals of Porto were hanged. There were impressive views over the city, the Duoro River and the wine cellars on the waterfront. Next stop was the Sao Bento Railway Station. Do not be discouraged by the renovations and improvement projects. This structure is a stunning reflection of the city’s rich history and culture. The atrium installed in the early 1900s is adorned with 20,000 tile panels (azuejos) telling the stories of war and conquest, country life and development of transportation in Portugal. It is a marvel to behold and every angle, whether of tiled paintings or the French styled railway station, is a picture. We walked the Rua Cristina, Porto’s main shopping street, with its Cafe Majestic, a classic coffee and pastry shop going back over a century where the elite Porto ladies enjoyed a respite and JK Rowling wrote her first Harry Potter novel. Caterina proudly pointed out the shops that sold Portuguese merchandise. And we were awed by the Capelas das Almas or Capela de Santa Catarina with its outside blue and white tiles chronicling the lives of Saint Catherine and S. Francis of Assises gleaming in the sun. Yes, we saw the amazing and newly remodeled Mercado do Bolhao with all tastes of Portugal just in time for a lovely Fado performance. But Cristina, who does food tours, also showed us her favorite small specialty markets including a shop that goes back 123 years and a chocolatier with a worldwide reputation. We did some shopping! The bells tolled at the Tower of Clerigos Church or Ingreja da Clerigo, circa 1759, upon our arrival and, at Cristina’s suggestion, we did not miss the incredible late night multimedia Spritus Light Show in the Chapel followed by delicious pistachio gelato across the street. We walked to the Avenida dos Aliados where we learned of the history of the Camera Municipal do Porto, which is the most beautiful City Hall I’ve ever seen, and were entertained by the story of the battle between Porto and the Ingreja da Trinidad, a 19th century church, as to city planning. Espresso and pasteis de nata was Cristina’s treat at her favorite cafe nearby. The amazing tour ended at the impressive building that was Henry the Navigator’s home on the Douro River in Porto. But Cristina was not done. She kindly responded to our follow-up questions in an email with recommendations that made everyday in Porto a delight. Thank you, Cristina! Keith, Cathy and Jessica
- Raffi B00Fun way to exploreGreat time, best way to view the city and figure out where to go. Go the first day so you can plan places you want to go!
- Scenic5212673897100City HistoryWe enjoyed the tour and we saw a lot of great monuments, buildings, churches and areas of the city we would not have seen otherwise which was great. Also the history of the city made it so much better
- BrianV91300Amazing walking tour. Five stars! What a fantastic tour! Ana was highly knowledgeable, informative, interactive, charming, delightful, witty, entertaining, and just plain fun to hang out with. Learned so much about Porto. A walking tour like this is highly recommended for getting acquainted with the city. Heads up, though: Porto has many steep hills so wear comfy shoes and have some good level of fitness.
- garywU6800QF00A Great Start to our Porto VisitMia was a wonderful guide who gave us a great introduction to Porto and showed us how walkable the city really is. She was very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited and flexible to the various needs of our group. She was especially good at showing us ways around major subway construction going on through the center of Porto as it is not always easy to get from one side of the city to the other.
- beachbumtucson00Jonus was great!Jonus took us on a great tour. He was fun and educated us on Portugal and Porto. He made it a great experience! This was our first electric bike tour, but won’t be our last.
- irismR846QH00Best Sightseeing-TourFantastic experience! So good to conquer the hills of Porto to enjoy amazing views! Thanks Eduarda Oliviera for gastronomic tips!!!
- barn6800Great bike tourFantastic tour led by Eduarda. A very enjoyable 3 hour tour around Gaia and Porto. First time on an electric bike but soon got used to it 😊 Eduarda was very friendly and an extremely knowledgeable guide. Well organised - highly recommend this tour.

We took this tour with Teresa on March 11, 2020. She loves to share local information about Porto and Portugal, and why she loves the city so much. We got to enjoy local food and restaurants that we otherwise would not have found. She brought the local culture to life for us. A wonderful way to end our trip in Porto! Thank you!

Absolutely wonderful experience with Sofia! We booked this tour hoping to see different parts of Porto and enjoy some local cuisine during a short stay, and this tour was everything and more. Not only did we zip around the city learning about the history and culture, but our guide and the younger man she was training provided an incredibly insightful look into daily life in Porto. They were willing to share about their experiences both inside and outside of the city, which was so enlightening. They were both a wealth of knowledge, enthusiastic, and welcoming. We were the only people to book the tour and they made the 1-on-1 experience comfortable and easy to understand. We moved at a great pace, the food was amazing, and we got a personal experience with a port wine expert at the end of the tour. We can't complement our guides enough - thank you!

My partner wanted a food and wine tasting guided experience for his birthday, so we booked this private tour with Bluedragon Porto City Tours.
We were so lucky to be paired with Anna who is a professional tour guide with a theater and journalism background. Her knowledge of Porto's food, wine and historic architecture and streets is exactly what we hoped to experience. We kicked off our tasting with an espresso (which is perfect as we love espressos!), bacalhau, Green wine in a number of establishments, cheese, charcuterie, traditional sandwiches, a fried baby calf liver (was a very generous bonus) and a generous taste of white porto, ruby and tawny portos which were all absolutely delicious!
Anna's love for travel, storytelling and her family made it feel we were exploring Porto with a friend. And yes, we highly recommend our new friend Anna for any of your desires to explore Porto and beyond Portugal. She's awesome, fun and you're guaranteed to spend 3 hours filled with unforgettable stories and experiences.
Thank you Anna and we look forward to our next visit! xx

PS I don't have food and drink photos as we'd dive into the experience ...there was 0 time for photos! :-)

We absolutely loved this food tour. We typically do walking and food tours when going to a new city. Porto and its people were beautiful. The food and wine do not disappoint. This tour gets you acquainted with great local food and culture. The popular cheese Serra da Estrela, was by far my favorite. You get a little of everything with this tour, and all of it is super tasty. Teresa our guide was by far the highlight however. She was cool, very polite and filled with local knowledge and information being a local herself and tons of stories of her own adventures. She even followed up the tour with her local recommendations and contact info. We used her list for lunch and dinner options during our stay and we did not have a single disappointing meal or experience. Thank you bluedragon and Teresa for making our visit to Porto wonderful. We will be repeaters for sure.

On our first day in Porto we took this walking tour. It was a lovely introduction to a beautiful city. We started with pastel de nada and espresso in a cafe located in a former private club. Our guide was a native who had traveled the world and returned to Porto out of love for the city and culture, which she shared with joy and eloquence. After several stops we ended near the river sipping a flight of ports ranging from white to ruby to tawny (my favorite). The walking is refreshing but not too strenuous. Tasting the food at our guide's favorite places and seeing the city through her eyes is like having a friend in town to show you around.

This was a perfect way to learn about Porto's wide-ranging delicacies in a relaxed, comfortable and intimate environment. Valter, our guide, was a delight and brought wonderful energy and excitement to the tour. The value you get out of the experience well exceeds what you pay. Not just for all the food and drinks that are included, but for the recommendations of where to go and what to try after. Absolutely a must for any foodie visiting Porto for the first time!

Valter was great. Nice intern too. Valter was friendly, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. Our group stayed chatting with him and a friend he went to school with many hours after the tour ended. He even left us his contact info if we needed anything later while in Porto. Very nice guy! Highly recommend the tour. Oh - and all the food and drinks were delicious too! 👍

I wish I could give this tour more than 5 Stars. It was truly amazing. This should the first thing you do in Porto. Our guide, Carolina was kind, knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating. Her knowledge of Porto and the Portuguese culture and history was very informative. We certainly learned a lot but she made us feel very welcome. Every stop we made was at a local and most often family run establishment. Every place we went it was like they welcomed us into their family. Today we got a true feel of Porto. From the little shop with the spicy pork sandwich to the cheese shop where the fellow drank a bit too much the day before but was an amazing host. Thank you Porto and thank you Carolina. We did not mention every stop but they were all fantastic- word of advice - do not eat before you go or you will not have room to appreciate the food and beverage offered on the tour

We had a wonderful time with Teresa, who shared with us not only the locations on the tour but other authentic places to try while we are in Porto. She was very knowledgable about the history of the food and Porto itself. She even introduced me to locally made juices and fruit waters because I don't drink alcohol. She even helped us locate where to get our return COVID tests and explained the trains to Coimbra. I will happily take another tour with her the next time I visit Porto.

I took a private guided food tour in Porto with my parents and had one of the best experiences of our entire holiday. Our tour guide Manuel, was interesting and knowledgeable and we learned a great deal about the history of Porto, about modern life in the city, about the food culture, and many other things. The food was delicious, the surroundings were beautiful, and we had an amazing time.

My husband walks with a cane and can only walk short distances without a rest stop. How much walking is there on the tour?
Hi! We are looking for an English tour on March 7, but we could start at 7 pm (7-8 people). Would that be possible?

The culinary tour that we did started in the morning, but our stomachs were stuffed full for lunch. I am not sure if they have a dinner option.
Evening my family would like to do the 3 hour food tour at 10. We are leaving on the 30th May to go to Figeura de Foz and our bus is at 14.20 from Carmelias. I wondered if we would be able to leave our luggage somewhere safe for the tour and do you think an hour is enough time to get to the bus station. Thanks for your advice
