It all felt rushed, no access to the waterfall due to risk of landslide unless you do so at your own risk. Not the best view along the 2 hour walk along the levada. You double back in yourself seeing not a lot of the same view.

Samuel was a very informative guide. Our group had several age ranges and he made sure everyone was included and looked after. From when we were picked up to the end of the day our guide was imparting his knowledge of the island to us all.

Very busy but a very fun hike. Highly recommend! Lovely cafe near the start. Waterfalls are popular and get very busy however we still really enjoyed ourselves.

I was a reat experience for all of us, I would like to try it again! Nice and helpful and patient guides. I will highly recommend it to everybody who wants to do something special in their holiday.

We had such a lovely time canyoning with Madeira Adventures. The day was well explained and structured. Safety was covered in the briefing and individually before any rappel. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful, so green and lots of waterfalls. Highlight was definitely abseiling a little, before ziplining down to a pool. Thankyou so much for a wonderful trip. I walked 25 fontes route and the new Stairway to Heaven route on different days. Both fantastic. Really, really excellent guides shared plenty of knowledge along the way. I particularly enjoyed the Stairway to Heaven for the vistas above the cloud lines across incredible peaks. As well as these two hikes, I took a sunset catamaran trip, a jeep tour and a mini bus tour. All activities were well organised and all communication at the organising stage when I had questions, and during when a change needed to be made the day before, was efficient and super friendly. All in all, Madeira Adventure Kingdom helped maximise the enjoyment and fun of my island holiday. I recommend highly.

Recently did the PR6 hike with Rubin. Such a beautiful day and wonderful place to see. Rubin was wonderful and cared a lot about our safety. He was also full of knowledge. I highly recommend this tour company for any tour, you wont regret it!

Everything was extremely well organised. The guide, Darya, was helpful and friendly and was able to respond to additional questions asked. Definitely challenge, but a doable excursion and worth the price!

Superb experience, many thanks to Rubin, our extremely knowledgeable, friendly and multi lingual guide explaining safety, our route, the travel to and from our climb, island history; information regarding flora and fauna. Pick up from and return to our hotel was on time and perfect, a clean comfortable mini bus. We chose an option for a tuna salad for lunch, this was extremely tasty, an excellent portion size with water, juice, pastel de nata and chocolate.

We did this hike, which is also known as PR6, on a week day. We arrived at the car park ~08:30am, early enough to avoid the crowds. Although the hike is ~4.5km, you need to walk for ~2km down a path before descending to the lagoon. You know you are at the right point to descend to the lagoon when you see a cafe. The descent to the lagoon is ~2.5km. We completed the route from the car park and back in ~3 hours. I'd recommend doing this hike as early in the day as possible because the lagoon is quite small and crowds do start forming from 10am onwards. A mini bus runs down the 2km path between the cafe and the car park. We didn't use it in the morning as the service starts at 9am. There are toilets near the cafe, but you will need a 50cent coin to use it.

My daughter and I did this hike 4 days ago and we are still in awe of the beauty of what we saw. Maderia is a very special place and it is especially evident from the heights of Pico do Areeiro and Ruivo. Having read up some information in advance of the hike I was very nervous about it. With Ruben as our guide it turned out to be an awesome experience. There is no doubt about it, as a visitor to the island this hike is a must. Thank you so much Ruben for looking after us and inspiring us to continue hiking throughout the summer. Thanks also to the driver, apologies I can't remember your name.

The hike is stunning the scenery is breathtaking. We were very lucky and was quite a clear day which meant we had a good combination of cloud and sun to enhance the views! The hike is quite challenging and should only be done if you are used to hikes! The guide did ensure we knew what was involved and could stop a little way into the trip and go back if we were concerned! Our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging throughout the walk and stopped regularly to explain things to us! Challenging walk, but well worth it.
