About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- fran_oisb3090 contributionsScamWe paid in full via the company's website, but after starting the trip, the driver started asking for more money. I don't know if that's only him or his company trying to scam people, but that was a very poor experience. He threatened to go get his manager, we told him to do so, and he finally relented and everything was "good".Written October 13, 2024
- R9799MKsandrac0 contributionsUnreliableVery disappointed! They canceled the day before the tour because they did not plan ahead properly for Carnival in Portugal.Written March 13, 2023
- O2363XBcarolr0 contributionsChristmas breakMy Husband and I spent our Christmas Holiday here. Its a beatiful place, clean and the food is excellent, although obviously not too many places were open as it was the holiday but those that were had excellent food choices. Walks in the country side and the beeches were amazing and there is so much to see and watching the sun go down on our roof terrace was perfect - highly recommend this area off season for those who want a quiet peaceful break.Written January 17, 2020
- Happytravels4530 contributionsA great day out!We were a party of three. Nuno picked us up at our hotel on time. There was another couple in the jeep, so our group was the 5 of us. Nuno was amazing and explained the area and the growing seasons with multiple stops to point out the different plants and the area. The mountain road part of the trip was great. Amazing to off-road and see things that I would never had. With a stop at a distillery with sampling and another stop at a winery with wine tasting and nibbles, it was very informative. My favourite part of the tour would have to be the boat part and visiting the caves along the coast. Simply breathtaking! Well worth the money and time!Written November 17, 2019
- Madonna L0 contributionsWould give zero if could for serviceI have never left a negative review before but I felt I had no other choice. Initially the tour operator asked us to change days which we had absolutely no issue with changing. We received two confirmation emails stating pick up at our hotel. We arrived in lobby 20 minutes before the stated 9am pick up time. I emailed the tour operator at 9.10 to check everything was ok – no response. I emailed again at 9.20- no response. I called tour operator at 9.27 and this just got worse! They claimed to know nothing about the booking and asked me to call another number. Next person claimed to have sent me a text changing the pick up time and place! Then said it was emailed then said they didn’t do hotel pick ups! Shambles. I requested refund twice told on phone would receive refund after they could not say who would pay for taxi to meet tour. An hour later got an email saying no refund. The service is poor. Any changes to the schedule should require confirmation from the client that they have received and read the changes. An official complaint has been lodged. Disappointed and angry. - claudiacS9496KD0 contributionsOKDriving through Sintra-Cascais natural park in the jeep was the fun part. The nature is amazing and the views spectacular. This is something I wouldn't miss! But I really wish the guide explained a little bit more about the history and culture or maybe just some fun facts about the place. The only thing we got to now is about the flora there (which by the way I don't think rambling on about eucalyptus trees is the most interesting thing in the world...) The visit to the city of Sintra was absolutely unnecessary. With only 2 hours available there's no time at all to visit the only interesting thing there, which is Quinta da Regaleira, considering the waiting line will take at least half of the time. So the only thing left to do is eat at one of the low quality, overpriced and super touristy restaurants there (two places tried to scam me with the price btw), and maybe have a walk through the city, which has lost all the charm due to the amount of souvenir shops. The worst thing was the Pena Palace. Price of the tickets was included in the tour price and we had two hours to visit the palace. But the waiting line was so huge that we only had 10 minutes left to visit. I understand that Sintra is a popular place to visit, but if the price is included in the tour, we should be at least guaranteed an entrance! Also, Pena Palace turned out to be more interesting from the outside than from the inside. Overcrowded place, nowhere to read about anything exposed there at all, poor arrangement and structure of the place. Overall: The tour idea is great but it is poorly organised. It definitely needs some touch ups, otherwise I wouldn't recommend spending the money.Written September 22, 2019
- Romina N0 contributionsWorth every penny! The tour was great. We went by jeep to Portimão to get the boat to see the caves! It was amazing. Both the tour guide and the skipper were super nice and gave everyone the chance to take nice pictures does not matter where you sat on the boat. Back to land our driver/tour guide Mythyah was fantastic. She was super knowledgeable of the region, the local culture and flora. She took us to the mountains/countryside and we got to see a side of the Algarve that not many tourists are able to see. Lots of plants and nice smells. I was surprised to see how rich is nature in this region. The views were really beautiful and were able to take nice landscape photos. Highly recommended!Written June 28, 2019
- sandyinlangley0 contributionsHighlight of our tripAwesome excursion. 2 jeeps were sent to our rental villa in Ferragudo to pick up our group of 10. This was the best day trip of our 3 week European vacation. We all had a fabulous time! Jeep trip up the mountain, moonshine educated, wine tasting and boat along the coast to the caves. Loved Portugal and will definitely recommend to all we know travelling there.Written October 3, 2018
- quietmikeyd0 contributionsBack breaking seatsThe guide was good, spoke good English. But that was it. The land rovers had one seat in the front, a bank for three and then two banks the bank which were sideways. Because of old people on the trip my partner and I were relegated to the rear. The windows were at shoulder height so I couldn't even see any views except the road until we stopped and got out. And the first hour and a half was spent getting out of traffic in Lisbon. I understand that can't be helped but then the journey itself was back breaking. The rear jump seats are not designed for extended travel and this is billed as a five hour trip. No account was taken of age and if we would had not taken these seats some older people would have been expected to climb in and out. Totally unsuitable. I am sitting in the jeep now as I type this and I am totally disinterested in the trip because I am so cross and fed up and wished I had not bothered. But I've still got another three hours to go.Written April 19, 2017
- oscar6130 contributionsJo and leeAbsolutely fantastic, did half day excursion, picked up from hotel by we think his name was Tilo, blood curley hair, very knowledgeable man and very friendly. Went up into mountains which were a bit steep at times, went through local villages, tasted the fire water, stopped at a little village on way back for a coffee and fed the donkey. Really enjoyed this trip shame there was no water in river to get wet. The guide Tilo was brilliant and made this day more enjoyable for us and ladies don't forget to wear your sports bra you'll need itWritten June 19, 2016
- Pickle25110 contributionsFabulous day outBooked this trip through Zebra Jeep Safari for 2 adults and a teenager. From the moment our driver Michell picked us up at the hotel he was extremely polite and informative. Meeting up with our other jeeps for the day we set off into the mountains taking in different aspects of Portugese life from basket making to alcohol and jam making. The off road part of the day was fantastic, yes bumpy along the ditches but great all the same. Stopping off at various points for either sampling fruit straight off the trees, picking herbs off the ground for us to smell and stopping off for unbelievable views. Lunch included which was in a small restaurant where the food was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The other drivers were very entertaining when all gathered as a group and listening to the knowledge that Mario had about the area and the land we were exploring was very informative and interesting he seemed to know everyone! Yes the driving at times could be extreme, we had to have a new vehicle brought to us as ours broke, but that is what we came for. We had a couple of elderly people in our jeep, one of which started to feel unwell and the response for the drivers was applaudable, making sure he felt comfortable and making regular checks on him. All in all it was a great day out thoroughly enjoyed by our family and good value for money.Written November 1, 2015
- Martin H0 contributionsBrilliant Jeep SafariWe have just got back to our hotel after an 8 hour wonderful day in a Jeep Safari. Picked up at our hotel, Yellow Laos Meia Preia, by our excellent driver and guide for the day Chillo. Chillo took us along with 6 others up through the Monchique mountains and villages and kept us extremely well informed throughout. He stopped at a small cafe for drinks and toilet before continuing into the mountains. This was certainly an Off-road adventure, taking us where cars and buses have no chance. The steep climbs and descents were no trouble at all for his open top landrover. We stopped to sample the smell of Eucalyptus in boiling water, wow no wonder it clears your synus problems, and another drink etc. After further Off-roading we then stopped to sample and purchase the local Fire water drink as well as homemade honey produced from the hundreds of roadside Beehives. Later stopping for lunch, drinks and a rest. We were treated to further offroading and a visit to a beautiful blue lagoon. The view from the top of Monchique mountain at 900mts, was fantastic all around. Further Off-roading on the route back to Lagos before sadly being dropped back at our hotel. An amazing day, money very well spent by choosing this trip. I have to say sorry to Chillo for not tipping him at the end of the trip, neither did non of the other parties, my only reason was that I had nothing smaller than a 20 Euro note, I hope my words of thanks get to you Chillo. Thank You.Written August 17, 2015

- Katie S0 contributionsFantastic day outJust returned from our friends holiday in the Algarve, and we spent our last day doing the zoofari combo day from extremo. It was an absolutely fantasric day in all aspects. I cannot praise our tour guide enough, I didn't catch his name but he had a Canadian accent from living in Canada for a while however I think he was originaly from the Algarve. He really did make our day with his friendly and upbeat attitude. He really went the extra mile to make our day by telling us stories constantly, stopping at loads of different places and even giving us shots in Alte and the local tiny distillery. He dropped us off at the zoo marine at 1:30pm and picked us up again at 6. The actual driving in the jeep was fantastic as well, as we had done a quad bike excursion the day before in the same area he took us right up into the mountains on the tracks he hadn't done for a while and he was a fantatic driver without being unsafe. Would 100% recommend to anyone. Fantastic way to see the local area. He even picked us fresh oranges from the droves!Written April 26, 2015
