About the night walk with Miguel Aboim
Miguel provides you with a very nice night walk through Sintra's Hills, exploring the fantastic forest and cutting through the moon beams. He emphasizes something which I personally adore and believe, the importance of remaining silent and avoid the use of lanterns, so you can be more connected with the raw nature that surrounds you. He therefore gives you green light lanterns to enable night vision in the darkest pathways. He also stops along the way were people can rest whilst listen to his exciting historical Chronicles about the ancient Sintra. Loved it and truly recommend it.

      Night walk in Sintra
The fact that the walk is at night gives the experience that extra uplifting one might sometimes need when thinking about a 6km hike through the mountain… the stories cheer you up and make you forget about time or distance. The experience is magical and scenery just so very beautiful. The guide is very knowledgeable and keeps everyone safe. Will be coming back for more!

Caminheiro Sintra (Miguel) has the gift of transporting us through time and making us feel all the magic of the mountain, its stories, its legends... He is someone with a great knowledge of the history of Sintra and who has a big passion for what he does. I highly recommend any of their hikes.

Between the fog and Sintra History
This is an expirience you can not miss! If you like Sintra, History and Nature you will love it! It's between the village and Sintra's mountains that all the magic happens. Miguel Boim guide's us not just in the walking tour but also in our imagination, and while we listen all the stories from the history of Portugal (some of them quiet bizarre but very curious), enchanted myths and incredible legends about this beautiful place, we kinda travel back in time, and that feeling is really amazing! Miguel is the best story teller i ever meet, and that combined with his passion about Sintra and his great history knowledge, makes of him the perfect way to discover this magical place. In addiction, there is a prescious call of respect for Nature that is required, and walking in silence too, allows us to feel Sintra's mountain and forest environment - so it increases the probability of hearing an owl hoot, feeling the wind make the trees dance, catching an eye on the slow walk of a salamander; contemplating forest mists, smelling the scent of wild flowers, the twinkling of the fireflies... hearing Sintra's wild heart beat. I am so lucky to say that I've done several times all the available theme walks and and i can tell you - the feeling is always great! I just can´t wait to go back again!

      Sintra Mountain
In the walks I have taken part of, organised nu the Caminheiro de Sintra, one aspect that cleary stands out is the peace and tranquility which is transmitted to us, partiu due to the contact with the mountain itself, partly because of the stories which the Caminheiro shares with us. The beauty of Sintra and its mountain turn these walks into a fascinating experience. Also the way the stories are told makes us believe that we travelling in time, back to those days. After the first walk, we are so taken aback with the exprience that we cannot wait to repeat ir....ocre and over again.

A Walk Back in Time - Uma Viagem no Tempo
Getting in touch with the work of Miguel Boim - o Caminheiro de Sintra was, for me, a very pleasant surprise and a sort of wake up call. I was born right in the heart of Sintra's historic center and lived around it all my life, and although I visited every monument in sight, for some reason I had not yet truly studied its history. Learning about Sintra's past by listening to the stories that Miguel tells us, following his steps and discovering its hidden secrets has been a true privilege. He is a walker, a writer, a historical researcher and wonderful communicator. So far, I've attended 4 of his guided tours and will probably keep on going. I especially like the atmosphere of quiet contemplation he always cultivates among his guests, while he guides them through this very special and magical place called Sintra.

      The best of Sintra
The village of Sintra and its mountains is a beautiful place of dream and magic. It is gifted by unique landscapes and an enveloping atmosphere where we fall in love at first sight. And to get to know Sintra better, I recommend the Themed Walks of Miguel Boim, "O Caminheiro de Sintra", a true lover of Sintra. His narrative of stories and legends is made along light walks that makes us travel for other times, other landscapes; awakens us to the sounds and smells of the Serra and to the landscapes of the Vila ... Unique experiences, because I could not just walk, whenever I can, I will visit Sintra in the company of Miguel and his stories and legends always different ... Highly recommend!!

A must go if you want to experience Sintra in a unique way!
From the several occasions we went on a walking tour with Miguel Boim, either on a mountain trail or through the village of Sintra, we learned a new detail of its history and discovered fantastic sites. Miguel is a great communicator and you can tell he speaks, not only from his vast knowledge of history, but also from his passion for the place and people he speaks of. As we listen to him we can really imagine those stories taking place. And then there is the charming village of Sintra and its breathtaking surrounding nature. On one occasion, on a warm night, we started walking towards the Pena Palace and most of the time we were surrounded by fireflies, it was simply magical! Thank you Miguel! We will be coming back for a new walking tour, for sure.

      Experience the past of Sintra
If you want to experience Sintra in a really unique and magical way, you should definitely try this walk. Miguel has extensive knowledge on the history and legends of Sintra and his storytelling will transport you to the mythical Sintra of the past. He is also incredibly friendly and will make you feel very welcome in this beautiful mountain. It really is something different to see the place at night, without all the noise and movement of daylight, which makes for a very atmospheric experience. Thank you Miguel, I look forward to walking with you again!

O Caminheiro de Sintra, dazzles us with stories and legends from Sintra's history, allowing us to travel to distant times of the past and get to know it’s most intriguing and fascinating historical figures. These are walks to feel, dream and, sometimes, even to get in a marvellous spooky spirit.
