We took the free tour of central Lisbon and I can only recommend it. Our guide Martina conveyed to us her passion for Lisbon and its history which she knows inside out. Thanks to her we visited corners of the city and learned details about its history, its secrets and its culture and we are grateful to her for this precious experience. We recommend doing it on the first day because he gave us a lot of advice regarding other places to visit, on restaurants and clubs that are less touristy and with honest prices.

We did the historic center tour with Elvira and she was fantastic. She answered many of our questions and queries about things to do, places to go... we had dinner in a place she recommended which is built on an old disused tram line, the place where we spent less and ate better the whole of Portugal. Unfortunately we couldn't do the afternoon tour of Alfama with her due to our other commitments, so she booked us the daily one in Spanish with the legendary Ricardo who, speaking in a simple way, is easy to follow and also showed us this part of the city. I have done several free tours in Europe and the United States but I think Taketours are the best, even in Porto we had a great time with them.

I did a freetour in Lisbon with Mariana and it was an excellent experience. From the outset, his passion for the city and his deep knowledge of its history and culture were noted. He explained everything very clearly and enjoyably, getting the group to stay interested throughout the tour. In addition, he combined historical data with curious anecdotes, which made the experience much more entertaining.
The tour covered the most important points of the historic center, including the Barrio Alto and the Baixa. I especially liked how he explained the history of the 1755 earthquake and its impact on the city. He also gave us helpful recommendations on places to eat and local activities, which was a detail I appreciated a lot.
I recommend this freetour to anyone who visits Lisbon for the first time or wants to delve into its history. Thank you, Mariana, for such an enriching experience!

Rikardo, so, with K , tremendous guide, made us a tour of the historic center incredible, very interactive, inspiring and motivating, whether you are a lover of history or just a curious person or someone who wants to know a little more the history of this city, the
Which isn't much talk.
Very understandable explanations and a lot of kindness on your part. It is advisable to arrive a little early, you do not like those who arrive late...😉.
I highly recommend doing this tour with him, but he also does other tours, I recommend asking about him, sure that all the guides do them super well, but with him the experience has been incredible, very full and passes very quickly even though it is almost 3 hours.
Rikardo, with K, thank you for everything! You can tell that you enjoy what you do and that's what you transmit to us. We'll see you again for sure!

Margarita was a terrific guide! She led a very cohesive and engaging tour of central Lisbon with a perfect balance of fascinating history, intriguing local legends, and great tips on what to do/eat/drink in Lisbon *and* what might NOT be worth your time and money. She was able to answer all kinds of questions without getting sidetracked. Her love for the city really comes through. Can't recommend this tour enough! P.S.: These folks really have a lot of expertise and devote substantial time to helping us explore the city - it's only fair that you pay them what you can.

Elvira was amazing on this tour of Lisbon — she made us laugh, get excited and curious about a city that is now waiting to be explored! I recommend booking the tour on the first or second day you are in Lisbon, so that you then have a clear compass for visiting the city. The route lasts 3 hours but they really fly by because Elvira takes you through the history of the city as well as its streets and its highlights. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience on the free walking tour with Diego in Lisbon. One hundred percent advisable. He confirms his own words, showing that he is in LOVE with Lisbon, telling the history of the city, adapting it to each of the corners where he immerses you as just another Lisbon resident. It also gives advice to enjoy the city and its sunsets more if possible, but it does not do so with a commissionist desire, but rather providing useful advice and tips such as seeing the same panoramic views of the city at zero cost from strategic enclaves. His level of empathy and closeness with the people we accompany him is such that at the end of the tour he provides a geolocated and updated list of gastronomic and cultural places of interest. But not only that. It is also attentive to people with accessibility or mobility difficulties, achieving the respect and consensus of the rest of the companions. It is also evident that it is located in key places so that we can all listen to its presentations but also to ensure that if a pickpocket approaches it, it can notify us. Great narrator and teller of stories, documented, didactic and with messages that resonate and hit home. Diego is the tour guide that every city would like to have and, at the same time, the teacher-storyteller that all university students would like to have in the classrooms.

The tour is very complete in terms of historical points.
Our CLARA guide was very concise and attentive to the group, takes you to tour the center to better understand the history of Portugal.
It’s a pleasant experience because he always provided for the group as he pauses if required and prevents someone from getting lost.
In addition to the historical explanation, support with doubts and give recommendations of the city based on their experience and avoid seeing your face as a tourist.
We highly recommend this tour for those who come a short time but want to know much about this beautiful city.

The guide Kike was a spectacular guide in his work. With contagious dynamism and joy, he knew very well how to tell stories and how to hook the audience.
In addition, he gave us tips to explore Lisbon in a cheaper and more realistic way, as a Lisbonite would do, avoiding tourist traps and things like that.
Quite a pleasure.

Today we had the opportunity to take a guided tour of Lisbon with Diego. The experience has been absolutely wonderful. Diego is a person passionate about this city and his work. He has great knowledge of the history, culture and traditions of Lisbon, and transmits it with great communication skills. Throughout the visit, he told us numerous stories and anecdotes that made us excited and learn a lot about the city. His passion for telling stories is contagious, and he made us feel like we were experiencing Lisbon's history firsthand. Without a doubt, the guided tour has been one of the best experiences we have had in Lisbon. We highly recommend their services to anyone who wants to get to know the city in an authentic and exciting way.
