This tour starts at one of the most famous viewpoints in the city and crosses the whole city centre. You’ll get a feel of how the city has been changing over the centuries and learn some great mysteries and insights about how architecture and local habits were forever changed by great events, like the great earthquake or the 1974 revolution.

When my wife and I visit another country for the first time, we don't want to ride on a tour bus, or be in a large tour group. We want to have a private curated experience with a local guide that is knowledgable about the history and the culture.
Rita and João from Show Me Lisbon exceeded our expectations and were the perfect guides to make our trip to Portugal and the surrounding areas a very memorable one.
Both Rita and João are not only very knowledgable about the history and culture, but they are both personable, down to earth, fun to interact with, speak excellent English, and made us feel like instant friends.
João was our guide for the Downtown with a local + foodie experience in Lisbon and he was fabulous. Rita then took over for the rest of our tours: Sintra/Winery/Coast, Belém Tour - The old & the new, and the full-day tour of Batalha/Nazaré/Óbidos. Rita was an amazing guide and she really knows her stuff!
I can't say enough good things about Rita and João. My wife and I were very happy to have chosen Show Me Lisbon and they helped make our first trip to Lisbon and Portugal an epic adventure we won't soon forget!
