        Sintra Cascais Day Trip
Our guide Ruben and driver were great. Ruben had a great sense of humor, as well as a lot of knowledge about the areas we visited. The driver did an awesome job meandering up the hills. The only suggestion I would like to make is at the Sintra lunch stop, the guide could suggest that we visit the National Palace on our own during the allotted lunch time if we wish to. Our tour did not include that visit and we missed it by wandering through the stores instead!

Super fun day with a great tour guide. Long day, but worth it. Souvenirs were more expensive in that area. Moving experience if you’re a religious catholic.

        Bad audio content
The audio guide is bas. It is very limited and unspecific. For example, it gives a small bit of info on a building but does not describe it nor say where to look for it.

        Half day Sintra and Caiscais
Very well organised with good communication from the office even though we booked on line which was simple and easy to do. Trip to Sintra was nice the Palace interesting, the guide was great switching between 3 languages very competently. The Palace walk around was just enough to not be exhausted but be warned there are a few steep flights of stairs that can be challenging for some. The village of Sintra it self was very pretty and worth a walk around There was a stop at a lighthouse on the coast which was a bit dull not much to see it was supposed to be a photo stop but people on our coach took time to come back so we were delayed leaving so we lost time in Caiscais had only 30mins. There's plenty to see and do in Caiscais if you have the time so I would suggest for the half day trip they only do Sintra and Caiscais and forget the lighthouse detour

        Perfect Timing
The timing is perfect! I enjoy every spot we went to. Also, National Palace of Sintra is fantastic, which I went to in the free 2 hours. Pena is also very special since it combined different cultures in it. Many thanks to our guide and driver! 时机非常完美!我很喜欢我们去过的每一个地方。另外,辛特拉国家宫也很棒,我在免费的 2 小时内参观了它。佩纳也很特别,因为它融合了不同的文化。非常感谢我们的导游和司机!

Our ship docked at around midday on 16 May and a lot of passengers bought tickets in the port terminal building for the Hop On Hop Off city tour, for a circular journey said to be 1.5-2hrs depending upon traffic. We were assured the bus we got on at around 12.30 was red line. Most of the headphones didn't work and those that did the volume was so low it was difficult to hear...we sat downstairs as I walk with a stick. An upstairs passenger came down to ask that the volume be increased and explained many had issues with headphones, requesting faulty bus be reported. Driver unable to change volume and said the company knew about the faults. We couldn't work out where we were headed, as route didn't seem to follow map given. Gave up on map and headset as narrative when I was able to hear it didn't seem to match where we were. After an HOUR touring the slums of Lisbon, dilapidated buildings covered in graffiti and any number of sad, homeless people in tents and doorways, we appeared to arrive at Stop Number 1! A further HOUR AND A BIT brought us to the river again but a long way from the ship and the red route seemed to go inland again, back to Stop Number 1. Many disgruntled passengers asked how we were to get back to the ship and were told to get off and walk if we were unhappy. At the next stop most of us got off and shared taxis back to the ship. Needless to say, the ticket office in the port was empty...having taken our money they weren't going to stay around to face the music. We were able to see that there are two different companies operating Hop On Hop Off tours. MY RECOMMENDATION WOULD BE - DO NOT USE GRAY LINE.

Good way to see all Lisbon but don't rely on audio working
Well organised and frequent service, buses clean and drivers all friendly. However audio is poor both in terms of quality, very repetitive and mostly music rather than interesting facts and on many buses it wasn't working well

        Don’t Red Bus in Lisbon
The worst Red bus city tour I have been on. These are usually excellent. The commentary was poor and not in alignment with the bus. The music in between the comments got on the nerves. The bus stopped at two of the stops for at least 15 minutes. The stops were not announced by number let alone at all. No wonder we got 2 days for the price of 1 ! Don’t let it stop you using the Red bus in other cities

        Total waste of money.
This was the worst hop on hop off bus tours I’ve ever experienced. There were a number of seats that you couldn’t plug in the audio ear piece. The seats where the commentary was working it was hopeless with a lot of music, couldn’t turn the volume up, not much information on the buildings or the area. Traffic was very heavy, the bus crawled along, we had no idea where we were. Total waste of money for 4 hours..

        Trip to Evora
Picked up for the tour, which left right on time. Marisa kept us to schedule and itinerary. She was knowledgeable and approachable. We had only a half filled bus, meaning we had lots of space. Marisa was extra attentive to some of our passengers who had mobility issues. We covered the highlights of Evora well and enjoyed the winery visit.

        Full of promise, reality disappointing.
We bought a 2 line ticket, red and green lines over 48 hours. On the red line on the first day the driver missed 3 stops which meant that we had a 25 minute walk to get back to where we wanted to be. The next day on the green line we waited at stop 3 for 50 minutes for a bus to continue our journey then when a bus did turn up there was no room. The driver estimated that another would be along in 15 minutes but no guarantee that this would also be full. We were very disappointed.

        Good For Shopping!
Very nice place to shop. It's one hour drive from Lisbon to freeport, we went by bus. Alot of shops with great offers there. The place is very nice and neat and highly recommended for visiting.

We suggest to avoid. It’s (the hop on hop off model)worked well for us in other world-cities but the traffic is too heavy in Lisbon to allow the buses to be any way on time. We had to wait in full sun heat for well over half an hour for one (having narrowly missed one due to a very unhelpful staff member at the stop). The narration on tape is dreadful (long bouts of boring music interspersed with repetitive drivel about some of the sights - I don’t want to hear about the Hard Rock Cafe three times thanks). Many of the staff at stop #1 were varying unhelpful to down right rude. We eventually just got off and walked around.

        Great day away
Rainy day but we were able to see and do everything, rained mostly while we were on the bus! Cascais was beautiful, all stops were amazing in scenery. Sintra was gorgeous, lunch terrific, Pena Palace crowded, colourful and fascinating. Our guide was wonderful.
