Paula gave us a sensational day of stories , cooking advice and cooking experiences that we will treasure. Making Pasteis da Nata ‘s in Lisbon is one off the bucket list … the visit to the markets and walk around town was fun and such a great “locals” experience… Paula is a wonderful host and it was a delight to share her kitchen and dining table , highly recommended 👏👏👏

Sofia and Carlos warmly welcomed us into their home. They prepared a fantastic meal - the best octopus I’ve ever had, freshly caught on their boat. My kids loved it. Dinner was a perfect family experience. I’d highly recommend it!

This was perfect. There's always a small degree of risk with things like this because our family and the host family might not click. That said, I was pretty confident because of previous reviews. It turned out perfect for our Sunday lunch. The home is about 25 minutes from the tourist centre of Lisbon, which makes it feel like you are in the countryside but still quick to get to. The family totally got it in terms of making it work for our two kids (11 and 7). They were a delightful family (husband, wife and adult son) and we all had a great time. It was cool to cook and eat as we went. Couldn't recommend more highly.

My time with Paula was wonderful! She made me feel right at home for the moment she picked me up at the ferry to entering her home. She educated the significance of ingredients along the way, and I feel equipped to cook cultural dishes of Portugal back home for my family! Would 100% recommended and do again! We absolutely loved our experience with Cristina! She warmly met us at the door, welcomed us into her home and took the time to get to know us. We were delighted to learn a traditional meal with many courses and be so hands on in all stages of prep. But even more so, we savored the cultural exchange of stories and laughter and life advice offered between sips of vino verde. Cristina knows her craft and is proud to teach others in a way that is fun, educational, and full of rich history. She even kept in touch during our trip to offer recommendations to fill our travels. Not only would we highly recommend her, we ourselves hope to keep in touch and share a meal again someday!

Paula gave us a lovely workshop! She picked us up from the boat terminal from where we embarked on a little tour of the area. After some grocery shopping at the local market, we started cooking in her cozy kitchen (big groups will be challenging) and after that of course enjoyed our meal together. She’s very kind, gives great tips and you’ll get the recipes sent to you afterwards. Highly recommend adding this to your trip to Lisbon!

The cooking experience with Paula was informative and pleasurable. The hands on participation in her kitchen and sitting down enjoying the meal was an incentive to come home and prepare some Portuguese food with our friends. Thanks you Paula for your hospitality!

Our family had the best time at Christina’s cooking class. She is such a fun and welcoming hostess. She taught us how to cook authentic Portuguese recipes. They weren’t terribly complicated, so we can recreate them at home. I highly recommend this class. It was one of our favorite experiences of the entire trip, and we created beautiful family memories.

We joined Paulo & Susana for an incredible private cooking class with our family (ages 1 - 60) on a recent trip to Portugal. What a fun time with family and our new friends - Paulo & Susana - as we learned to create multiple Portuguese dishes. We especially fell in love with the delicious Sausage Pate. We plan to make it at home for years to come. We cannot recommend this experience enough! FIVE STARS!

Amazing day with Paula. Shopping in the market and then cooking in her home. It was great to get to know her culture and heritage through the food. Also shared the recipes with us. Can’t wait to try when we get home

My friends and I traveled to Portugal in March of 2024. By far the highlight of our trip was cooking with Paulo, Susana and Joao! Their home was beyond welcoming as were our hosts. We cooked with them, learned many recipes, and ate the most delicious meal with our friendly teachers. By the time we left (several hours later) we felt as if we were part of their family! Do not miss this opportunity!!!

Cristina was awesome, we felt like family immediately walking through the door. Her condo was cute and clean. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was amazing. One of our most favorite experiences in Lisbon!
