A FANTASTIC, FANTASTIC TOUR!!! Annette and Eduardo were our guides and they were simply wonderful! Annette was extremely knowledgeable on the culinary background of the food at each stop, her joy and enthusiasm definitely comes through during the explanation, which makes it even more fun to listen to.

Moreover, Eduardo will provide a different take on the food/explanations to fill us in with additional context/info. Listening to Annette and Eduardo share their connection with the city provided A LOT OF helpful context to the history of the city, and a much enriching perspective from a local, which is even more valuable than the food tasting in my opinion.

Every food stop is nothing short of stellar!! The diverse food stops range from local greasy spoon diner food, to more traditional Portuguese seafood dishes, to Samosas to Pastel de Natas. One of our tour member had dietary restrictions, and Annette tried their best to find alternative accommodations to ensure everyone is taken care of. This was definitely a highlight during my 5 days in Lisbon and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a comprehensive food tour of the city.

A great food tour in Lisbon! We have done other food tours in Lisbon, and this was one of the best because it went to the Baixa and Mouraria areas of the city for a good mix of restaurants and street food. The walking was very easy, even though there was a bit of uphill walking the pace was never uncomfortable or excessively fast.
The tour had four stop for food tastings, all were wonderful. The first was a at a shop for a bifana, a delicious pork sandwich, the second was for a meat samosa in the style of Mozambique, the third was Bacalhau à Bras and it was absolutely amazing! Our guide Annette took us to a restaurant that was closed but she was friends with the chef/owner (incidentally a Michelin-starred chef) who prepared the dish and invited us into his kitchen to watch him prepare the meal! A real treat and that was easily worth the price of the tour to see that. I've never liked the dish, but I will say I ate every morsel and could have had seconds! Wonderful. We finished up with a desert of fresh Pastéis de Nata at a bakery close to the restaurant which were also amazing.
We wandered through streets covered in interesting street art and overall the tour was worth every penny! Annette was a wonderful guide!

We're thrilled to hear that Annette was such a great guide and that you enjoyed the food stops, especially that we changed your mind about the bacalhau a bras - one of our staples! We look forward to hosting you in another one of our foodie cities in the future!

I went on the food tour with a group of 3 friends and had THE BEST afternoon with Kat and the other 6 tourists exploring and eating & drinking our way through the city. We learned a lot of history about Portugal and also heard personal stories from Kat about her family in Lisbon. We stopped at 4 savory food establishments + 1 dessert spot - each of them very thoughtfully selected and smoothly executed (11 seats set up when we arrived, food ready to be delivered, and payment coordinated in advance for a smooth exit and no time wasted!).

We had such a wonderful time, we spent the rest of the afternoon with the group from the tour (see picture!)! An afternoon we’ll truly never forget. I cannot recommend this experience enough to anyone visiting Lisbon!!!

The tour was fantastic! First I should say my husband and I are foodies and fairly experienced travelers. Katrina or Kat was delightful, warm and quite informative. The restaurants we visited were delicious and interesting including a Mozambique style outdoor restaurant influenced by Indian cuisine. The highlight was Tasquinnha Canto du Fadi where we met the Chef Joao alveira who has cooked internationally and has a Michelin star. This small casual restaurant was far and away a treasured stop. Fiirst , Kat , who is actually is not a tour guide but usually vets the restaurants and develops the relationships with the vendors works on the inside of the Eat Europe company . She was invited to bring our group into the kitchen and watch this honored Chef prepare our food. We then ate, toasted and shared vino verde and cherry liquor with the chef and his staff. One of the men who worked there is a Fado singer with an amazing voice. He sang for us and we could not have enjoyed this more! We also visited a restaurant thst had cheeses that were unusual and delicious with green wine and scrumptious brown bread . All this and more! The serendipity of meeting two other couples who were also originally from NY and were quite well travelled and interesting people made the 3 hours completely delightful ! Definitely one of my travel highlights ! Go and enjoy!

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Frederick, was wonderfully passionate about Lisbon, a born and bred local. He was informative and very knowledgeable. His interaction with the tour group was brilliant, he related to everyone and it ended up being a great group that chatted heaps. The places we went to and the stories Fred told gave us a real insight into the city, it's history and the people. Of course the food choices were also brilliant, and pairing the food with various local wines and beers was a really good way to highlight local products. We went back to one of the eateries the next day for lunch and plan to go to one of the recommended restaurants for dinner tonight.
Thanks Fred, you are amazing. 👏

Our absolute favorite part was our tour guide Fred! The tour itself is a fantastic way to get a taste of Portugal, learn about neighborhoods, and explore back streets but Fred really raised the bar for future tour guides. We wish we could book Fred for every tour everywhere! 😁
The food was delicious! We were treated to wines that are exclusive to the particular restaurant we were in, well worth the money and then some!
Remember to tip your guide generously. They (especially Fred) deserve it!
Enjoy!!!

This food tour was more than just a food tour! Camila not only introduced us to some of the local cuisine, but did a great job of giving us a history of the areas we visited. We traveled with a 7 year old and a 5 year old and she was very accommodating and helpful during the tour. She also helped us in each restaurant to make sure the kids got something that they would like. Camila was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable as a guide! After the tour was over she gave us a list of the places we visited on the tour and additional places that she recommended! I would recommend this tour to anyone that wants good food, a good history, and some beautiful views of Lisbon!

We had a wonderful tour with Sara! I highly recommend this tour.

Sara did a great job of incorporating history of the city into the tour in a very engaging way. The food stops were phenomenal and my husband and I actually went back to one of the restaurants before our trip was over!

This tour is a great way to see the city, learn some history, and experience the authentic local culinary scene - hoping to book with this company again while visiting other cities!

We have been cruising for 30 years and this was absolutely the best food tour ever. Every dish was full sized, served on a plate at a sit down table with drink and silverware. The food tour just prior to this one was bite size samples, served on a napkin, standing out in front of the restaurant, in a crowded street. Every single dish was divine and filling and unique. The restaurants were clean and the service excellent. The neighborhoods we visited were varied and historical. During the entire tour Annette kept us entertained and informed with historical facts and fun antidotes. The group was a very small and manageable size. The whole day was so interesting. In between feasting we visited beautiful buildings and saw incredible street art. We had been to Lisbon on 2 previous visits and had never been to the neighborhoods that Annette introduced us to. We'd give this a 10 star and recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon.
