          Big thumbs up
Andre was an excellent tour guide. Friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. Learned a lot about the Monastery and the Tower, and good tips about visiting these sites. Enjoyed the stop to pick up some pastel de nata at the Belem shop whey they originated.

Informative and enjoyable tour of Belém
We had a wonderful tour with Andriy. I think this is the best way to see the Monastery. We had a small group of 8 and stopped at Pasteis de Belém for the famous nata and it was delicious. As we approached the Monastery, Andriy pointed out the special festivities for a day honoring firefighters. We used the Lisboa Card for our entry to the Monastery (there was a machine to scan our cards and enter our home country). I think it was much more meaningful to have a guided entry in the Monastery and hear Andriy’s insight on Saint Jerome and the architecture features of the Manueline style. We learned a lot and it was a valuable experience. We also walked to the Belém Tower and Monument to the Discoveries, with a refreshment stop on the way. We enjoyed the surprise of seeing the raccoon sculpture and learning about the artist and his methods. If you want to visit the Monastery with minimal waiting and actually learn about what you’re looking at, definitely take this tour.

          Belém and Jerónimos Walking Tour
Excellent small group walking tour of Bélem and Jerónimos Monastery. Our guide Andriy was excellent and very knowledgeable. Great way to visit Jerónimos Monastery as the queue for non guided entrance was very long even at 9.30am. Highly recommend this tour.

          Educational
Rui did an awesome job giving great explanation of the trans Atlantic slave trade and Portugal’s hand in it. Provided more information in a 3 hour walking tour than you would likely find anywhere else in Portugal ! Amazing 👏🏾

Pleasant small group tour packed with amazing information.
Our tour guide, Andriy, was absolutely perfect. The small group size provided a customized experience. The historical focus on the different neighborhoods (how they became, how they evolved, why it must preserved) was very enjoyable. Andriy pointed out how to locate a historic business or building. Most of the 3hr tour was downhill and a there was refreshment/restroom stop.

          Informative experience!
Rui was phenomenal. He took his time and covered so much history. You can see that this is his passion. These were tough subjects that he covered with the honesty and dignity they deserved. My husband and I were thoroughly impressed. We were not aware until we got here how hard Portugal tries to hide its colonial past and history of slavery. Denial and misinformation everywhere. The truth is not even taught to the students in school in Lisbon. You can't find it mentioned anywhere. So glad we did this tour!

          Excellent small group walking tour
Excellent small group walking tour. Our guide, Andriy, did a great job explaining the Portuguese and Lisbon history and how it ties together with our present time. If you want to visit the monastery I recommend you to take a guided tour and pre purchase the tickets as the queue is very long for the non guided entrance.

The Absolute Best Portuguese Slave Tour (and Guide)
Rui Fernandes, our private tour guide, exceeded any expectation I may have had for this tour. He was kind, considerate, and exceptionally knowledgeable about the subject matter. As a lifelong student of the American Slave Trade, I had previously begun learning about the Portuguese involvement in the enterprise of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Rui was a literal well of knowledge, information, and compassion. My friends and I spent the rest of our time in Portugal regaling over the information shared by Rui. For anyone interested in this topic, Rui should be your first and only choice for a tour guide. We would have gladly spent an entire day with him, as he was inexhaustible. When I returned home, I realized that I was so absorbed in our discussions, that I never thought to take any pictures. Our tour guide, Rui Fernandes, is exceptional!

          Great Belem tour!!!
Another great walking tour. This time around Belém. First to visit the one and only Pastal de Belem shop and have the best custard tart’s known to man. Then onto the Monastery of St Jerome. Andriy was really informative.and took our small group of six through the long history of this famous monastery. After the monastery we took a short coffee and comfort break and then onto see the famous raccoon sculpture by Bordalo II. After this a short walk over the motorway by foot bridge to walk along the Tagus to take in views of 25 April bridge and the amazing Padrão dos Descobrimentos. Before we walked along towards the statue we took in the Belem Tower, which made up one of three defensive installations to defend Lisbon from its enemies, including Pirates! All of the above was backed up with interesting, insightful and historical information by our learned tour guide Andriy. Can highly recommend this tour. Lisbon-Waterfront Tour
We had an excellent tour provided by Andre. His knowledge and appreciation come through in his telling of the history and meaning of the attractions we saw-Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery, Belem Palace and Padrao des Descobrimentos.

          Andrey Voevoda's tour of Lisbon
We went to 3 hours waking tour of Lisbon with Andriy Voyevoda. He is amazing tour guide: very knowledgeable and passionate about Lisbon's history and architecture. He showed us a lot of interesting historical buildings, including recommendations on cultural activities and places to eat. Our tour lasted a bit longer than 3 hours despite the rain. Overall, its was a very enjoyable and educational experience. I am happy to recommend a tour with Andriy Voyevoda anyone who visits Lisbon.

ITS TAKEN US 2 YEARS TO WRITE THIS REVIEW.
OMG!!! This was an amazing tour. Rui is fantastic, knowledgeable and so accommodating. The dude really knows his history. In our eyes, a very honest depiction of the past. Thank you Rui. By the way guys, we visited in July 2022. It’s taken us almost 2 years to write this review, but we’ve never forgotten. THAT IS HOW GOOD IT WAS!!!

This was a private tour with Andriy and Carlos was our driver. Both did an outstanding job and we can highly recommend them. The tour started with a visit to Pasteis De Belemm at our request for a quick breakfast. We then visited the Monastery on skip the line tickets (which are absolutely worth it). This was followed by a visit to the old fort and the lunch at the Mercado. the afternoon was filled with seeing other parts of Lisbon and it was a really nice fact filled day
