See the imposing turreted complex of St George’s Castle, which stands on an Alfama hilltop overlooking the shimmering Tagus River. Venture into the heart of Alfama, following your guide through mazes of narrow streets so tight you can touch both sides with outstretched arms.

Stop to admire the Lisbon Cathedral, which dates back to the 12th century and pass by Lisbon’s National Pantheon, where important local figures including presidents, dignitaries and a famous Fado singers are buried.

Aside from some of his pipe smoke, we had a good tour. To be clear, you SEE the castle and notable sights listed but you do not go in.

Rita was amazing that we both attended in alfama dictrict walking tour as well. She is so energetic and knowledgable, she kept the tour interesting during the whole 2.5 hours. Free walking tour was more about history and alfama tour was more about the culture....More

It was after lunch and the free city walk. Their web site says 2:30. Did you check their site? Look at sandemans site.
