      A great day!
We had a great time with João on the trip! He was knowledgeable and accommodating. The ride was comfortable as well. It was great to see different places in Portugal with different feels.

Excellent excursion to Sintra and Cascias!
Our trip to Sintra, the Peña Palace and Cascais was fabulous. Benny, our guide was excellent. He was friendly and informative, and we had a great time sharing our day with our fellow travelers.

      Worth it to book!!!
Great tour that I would highly recommend. We were led around the areas by Pedro who was very knowledgeable and answered any and all of our questions. Worth the money. Small van with 6 other people was just the right amount. Can’t say enough good things. Definitely bring your walking shoes and comfortable clothing. Make sure you’re able to walk uphill without trouble. There’s a lot of winding roads so if you get car sick easily bring some medicine or sit up front.

      Wonderful experience!
Jose was a fantastic tour guide! It was so great to hear his stories growing up in Lisbon and learning about the country’s history from his point of view. Had a wonderful time on the 3 hour walking tour seeing the various locations. Great for first-time visitors and highly recommend!

      Opening the door on Lisbon.
Ana, our guide, was very welcoming, and informative. We learnt so much about this city and its rich tapestry through history. We would highly recommend this tour at the beginning of a visit to Lisbon as it helps to get a perspective on the makeup of this beautiful city. Ask for Ana, you won’t be disappointed.

      Must do!
Filipe had a way of making our tour feel small, intimate and fun! It was a wonderful way to sip and sample delicious bites from around Lisbon. Well worth every euro and a good tip! Don’t skip this one!

      An interesting and informative tour
Our guide Joao was absolutely amazing! A veritable font of knowledge tackling a long small group tour with a profound religious beginning. He was respectful of all views and very professional when dealing with a difficult client. We had a wonderful day!

      Too much hype
This is the one tour we were really looking forward to, as we were told Cascais, Sinatra, and the Pena Palace were not to be missed. The day was short stops, 15 minutes at the "Mouth of Hell", 25 minutes in Cascais (at a bakery), then a ride along the coast (not stopping at any overlooks) until the lighthouse at Sinatra, again, 15 minutes. Then we traveled to Sintra, a small town built into a hillside. Very pretty. Way too many people. Especially if it rains, like it did. The restaurants and shops fill quickly, and the policia chase most double parked tour vehicles away. With one way in, pretty much one way out, tons of traffic, and moderate rain, this was not fun, and not the beautiful place I was expecting. Pena Palace is really nice. The architecture is incredible, the forests are stocked with trees from around the world, but we didn't get to see the views as it was completely overcast. Our guide was not the friendliest guy we've met. He was insulting to various nationalities. Maybe it was just a bad day

      Wonderful tour
Amazing trip. Nonu, our guide, was superb with a wealth of knowledge about the history, culture, and customs of Portugal. He was also very kind, charming, and accommodating. I felt taken care of and pampered. The locations were so interesting that I am eager to learn even more. Highly recommend this tour

      Lisbon walking tour
Leslie was our tour guide for our 3 hour walking tour. Although it was very hot, Leslie knew the shortcuts to avoid as much stairs and climbing as possible. She accommodated all of our group with whatever needs they had and made the tour very enjoyable.

      So much fun
Very first day in Lisbon we did Food and wine tour with Martin. We loved every bit of it. He was so much fun yet taught us a lot about Lisbon culture, the food, the wine and gajinga!! We had a great group of people, walked to different venues and delicious food and wine pairings. Definately a MUST do.

      António was great!
António was so knowledgable and kind! He was always checking with each of us throughout the day. The pacing of the tour was good with the morning at castle, noon in Sintra & afternoon in Cascais. The van was comfortable, and the guide was informative and personable. We really enjoyed it!

      Great family experience
Ana was a fabulous tour guide - we attended the tour with our 2 teenage sons and she immediately made us feel welcome! Lots of local and historical information. Food destination venue were well picked and we all loved trying food and wine we would not have sampled without her guidance. She also immediately got soft drinks organized for our sons 😁 all round a great experience- highly recommended

Great food, great wine, great value!
Leslie was super knowledgeable and welcoming. We enjoyed walking through Baixa and sampling 6 different taverns and restaurants. You will not need dinner afterwards. Highly recommend!

Fantastic day out with our guide/driver/and history lover Joao, whose enthusiasm for Portuguese history and culture was very well received and appreciated. A great day at the national Palace, free time in Sintra town, with a quick stop at the most westerly point of continental Europe Cabo Roca and then onwards for a late lunch in Cascais. Fantastic day with a fantastic host. Thanks Joao !

This was a nice tour, but we were caught a bit off guard. The description said we would visit the #1 attraction in Sintra. We went to the Quinta de Regaleiria, but not to the Pena Palace, which I think more folks would list as #1.
The visit to Cascais was basically “I’ll drop you off, walk around, and meet me back here in a little while.”
Our guide was really terrific! He was very warm, friendly, and really went out of his way to make the day enjoyable. Thank you Patrik!

The day trip to Sintra and Cascais from Lisbon was very enjoyable thanks to out guide Rui. He was professional, efficient, relaxed, very funny, a good driver, and had interesting facts to share.

I would have preferred a more spacious meeting spot. The fun began the moment we met Rui.

Beautiful trip inspite of cloudy weather and some rain. Loved the guide Joao Torres with us and even the other members of the group were nice. He made it a personal experience, gave us time at each place with some amazing facts and also arranged for some amazing food and guided us to the best sweets.

We took this tour through inside Lisbon and visited Pena palace and Cascais on 22nd November.
First of all would like to tell our guide "Joao Ferrao" was great with all the information. From the start he made sure everyone was okay and through out checking on each one of us.
He gave us full details on each places we visited and also gave us tips on where to eat and which are the best coffee shops in the areas.

Thanks a lot we really enjoyed this tour.

Many thanks to our guide Nuno, your relaxed demeanour and local knowledge made the day. The tour was conducted in English and the group of 8 was a real multinational affair with Asian, Fijian, Pakistani, Egyptian and Australian participants. From our arrival at the designated meeting spot our guide Nuno introduced himself but more importantly got the ball rolling with getting such an eclectic group of strangers to bond on the drive to Sintra. I couldn’t have wished for a better day. Our drive up to Sintra gave us a great insight into the outer suburban life in Lisbon. The Pena palace was quite busy but Nuno got us organised and we skipped some major ques and got a great insight into the palace and the major works of planting vegetation on what was nothing more than a craggy rock face. After a few hours at the palace we headed into the main village of Sintra for lunch and a poke around. After lunch we headed to the western most point of continental Europe and a coastal road trip into Cascais which is a gorgeous coastal town about 30 minutes west of Lisbon. While I was sceptical about spending a full 9 hours on a road trip with 6 strangers, my wife and a driver/Guide I was presently surprised. This tour is well organised but not too heavily structured so you have plenty of time to explore on your own if you wish. The essence of this tour was our guide Nuno’s ability to inform, entertain but more importantly have a group of strangers share their travel plans, celebrate our cultural diversity and enjoy each others company. I would highly recommend this tour for the quick snapshots it offers to south west Portugal a lot is covered off and I will certainly look at a few days in Cascais when I am next in Portugal. I would not have even considered Cascais until today’s Inside Lisbon road trip.
