The views were fantastic. We did take loads of photos. The 4 hours just flew by. It was also fantastic being picked up and dropped off at the door of our hotel. Our driver Lionel was top class. He was extremely knowledgeable and went the extra step. He really cared that we had the best experience. I was with my brother and his wife and their 14 year old twin girls. Each of us totally enjoyed the experience.

We were a group of 6. The Mercedes van was very comfortable. Driver, Euclides, arrived on time. Very neat. Very polite. Pointed out and explained the different sites we passed. Drove smoothly. Very accommodating to stops for bathroom breaks. I would highly recommend. After our day trip to Porto, we got another trip to Sintra with the same company for the following day.

While our driver was congenial, and kind, he was not a guide in any sense of the word. He dropped us off at two different locations, we paid entrance fees, and he did not accompany us for the tour. He did not explain, unless asked, where we were in the city. Extremely disappointed. He is a driver only! He should be listed as such- certainly not a guide.

We had an amazing trip from start to finish on Monday October 14th with Euclides. The tour was fabulous. Euclides was extremely knowledgeable and informative showing us the major attractions of the beautiful city of Porto. We learned so much and loved talking to him about the history and culture. He arranged for our lunch at a fabulous cafe on the Douro River with breathtaking views of the port. The tour of the Taylor winery was a great finale to our wonderful day. Euclides expertly navigated the streets of Porto. The pickup and drop offs were beyond our expectations of how he made our trip extremely convenient. Ismael picked me up promptly at my scheduled time and location in a new and clean Tesla. He was welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. I got to see all my must-see spots and more. The entire experience was stress free and delightful. I highly recommend it for folks who want a solo/small group experience that’s somewhat similar to an “uber black” experience. I will be coming back to experience the chill charm of Portugal.

Relaxing and flexible afternoon with Paulo, our driver and guide. If you are looking for a comfortable way to explore Obidos and Nazare with a limited amount of time - then this is the way to go. Paulo allowed us to customize our itinerary, and not once did we feel rushed.

We had a beautiful and awe inspiring time in Sintra, Cascais and lunch at O Faroleiro. Mostly we had an amazing time meeting Paulo he is an excellent Ambassador and guide. A great human being. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Flexible and accommodating. He spoke very proudly of his country and the amazing places we visited. We recommend doing this Tour or any Portuguese tour with Paulo. He is truly the best.

This 4 hour city tour showed us the most of the highlights in Lisbon. Our six passenger Mercedes is very comfortable and clean, our driver/guide Emmanuel showed up on time and is very professional and polite.

The half-day tour was perfect to give us an overview of Lisbon and some specific areas + sights we want to see on another day. The ride (Mercedes sedan) was super comfortable and the guide (Louise) was knowledgeable, professional and helpful. I would recommend this experience.

Our Trip starting at the cruise port following with a 4 hour tour of Lisbon and drop of at the Airport was faultless and very good value, our driver Nuno was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our plans. We can highly recommend Gold Compass and will be using again when venturing back to Lisbon.

Nuno picked us up right on-time at our hotel and the adventure began. His car was spotless. Nazaré was beautiful and our visit to the famous lighthouse was wonderful. The weather was beautiful, sunny, and the ocean was calm. Next we headed to Óbidos. We enjoyed walking around and grabbed a quick lunch at a quaint cafe. Highly recommend this tour and we want to thank our driver, Nuno, for his warm hospitality and kindness.

Carlos was an excellent host and driver. He’s very knowledgeable about history, politics and the economy of Portugal. He’s very professional. The Benz was in excellent shape and extremely clean. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would select Gold Compass and Carlos again.
