    Not what we expected
We were disappointed to learn that Almendres Cromlech is closed for six months so the tour was not what we signed up for. Evora is a quaint town and the Chapel of Bones is quite a curiosity. In lieu of Almendres Cromlech, we stopped at a second village for olive oil tasting and a visit to the Rug Interpretation Centre. Our guide Daniel was very knowledgeable and we appreciated his commentary along the way, including pointing out the stork nests in the hydro towers! It was an interesting day but not what we expected.

    Underwhelming
We booked for small tour max 8 persons. There were 15. We booked hotel pick up. We were picked up on time in the morning but not returned to our hotel but dropped of by the Hard Rock Cafe. We were advised a day or two in advance that due to the temporary closure of the Almendres cromlech, we would go to Arraiolos, to do the olive oil & wine tasting; to visit the castle and the Arraiolos carpet interpretation center. We didn’t visit the castle and I found the olive oil and wine tasting underwhelming. However it was a relaxing day away from the crowds of tourists

    Best guided tour
Our guide Ricardo was very knowledgeable about the history of the site. During the entire 1.5 drive there, he was telling us about the history of the site. He was very thorough and informative, which made the visit so much more interesting. He took enough time at each stop and really walked us through the entire house place, explaining each space.

    Ok trip
Our guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. Gave a 30 min talk about Fatima as we drove and that was about it. No guidance about how to tour the sanctuaries. Fortunately we discovered the rosary exhibition on our own.

    Poor service
Your guy/driver has an attitude and was frowns the whole trip. Uncleared meeting point at Fatima caused my group and another group to go look for the guy for 40 minutes and he had the nerves to blame us! If 3 out of the 7 people total in the tour were lost and had to search for you, then that’s a you problem, not us. I have booked tours in Paris, Barcelona and Lisbon and this tour left a sour taste.

    Visit to Fatima
A very enjoyable half day visit to Fatima. We attended mass which was lovely and looked around the basilica. The only downside was that we only had about an hour and forty minutes which wasn't enough time to have a look around the grounds as well as go to mass. We would recommend a full day visit if you want to take your time to explore the shrine at leisure.

Very well organised tour. Travel in comfort
Picked up on time, in a lovely minibus. Andrea was a great guide and was very informative. It was a long day, so we were glad of a lunch break and toilet/ coffe breaks during the visit. The gardens, and palace were wonderful, with plenty of walking, so you need good shoes! Definitely worth the visit

    Terrific!
This was a terrific tour made especially great by the tour guide, Tiago! He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Peña palace; the royal generations that lived/summered there; and, the styles and intricacies of the structure(s)’ architectural styles. We found the hike up to the palace a bit taxing but, Tiago set a workable pace for us. We enjoyed Tiago and learned a great deal from him! Phyllis & Ellen

    Temple of Diana plus more
Our guide Andreia was excellent! She was very good at telling us stories of the area of Portugal known as Alentejo, even to proper pronunciations of people and places. There was an olive oil tasting, which I've never done. We looked for the rare black pig in the countryside, but saw none. However, that was lunch, and it was very tasty! I had time to climb to the top of the cathedral after lunch, for a view of the city, very nice! It was also the only dry day of my 6-day stay in Portugal.

We began with a mix up over meeting place but once that was straightened out we had a wonderful tour of the city and it’s good. Great guide, smart, interesting, and enthusiastic.

My whole family loved this tour - especially our fabulous guide. Her tour went well beyond food and gave us an excellent overview of Lisbon. A great value for the price.

Our tour guide Marianna was by far one of the best tour guides! Her knowledge of the not only the food but the history of the city and its rich culture was invaluable. The espresso and chocolate was to die for! You don’t want to go to Lisbon without this tour!
