We had a fantastic half-day tour of Lisbon with Luis. Luis grew up in Lisbon and gave us a real insider's view of the city - its history and how it is rapidly changing. We got around by car (to dodge the raindrops) which allowed us to see not only the famous sites downtown but also to visit Belem. Luis expertly navigated the narrow streets and traffic, magically finding parking spaces. We highly recommend Luis!

My husband and I did a walking tour of Lisbon on our first day with Fred. It was a wonderful day. We learned so much about the city and the history and culture. Fred was great to spend the day with. We had asked for some Jewish history as well and were very pleased with his knowledge. This is a family owned agency and we’re very accommodating and easy to deal with. Highly recommend!

We did a tour of Evora with Luis which was a fantastic experience. He was a great guide, very passionate about Portuguese history and very knowledgeable. Learned a lot about Portugal, even on the car ride there, no awkward silence :). I highly recommend his service and we want to come back to see Nazare waves some day!

We had a morning walking tour in Alfama, through our hotel (Memmo Alfama), and our tour guide was Frederico. He was so wonderful! Then, upon learning that it was our only full day in Lisbon and we were wondering what to see in the city, he offered a tuktuk tour. It was 100% "tailor made" to what we were interested in and what we felt like doing, and at a great price. He added so many personal touches -- stopping off to get local snacks, showing us his favorite vistas -- that it really felt like a hospitable, local tour. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide Ines Ramires gave a very intelligent and insightful tour of Lisboa and Sintra. I would highly recommend Ines to discerning tourists who want a thoughtful and enjoyable tour and to gain greater knowledge of the social history of these wonderful destinations.

Ines was amazing. She explained little known but extraordinary interesting things about what we were seeing. She completely tailored the visit and discussion to our interests and became a fast friend making it so much more enjoyable. It was like visiting with a friend and learning from her experience. It was fabulous. She navigated the experience and given the fact there were some kinks due to a running event, seamlessly provided ongoing narrative which made the day pass so quickly and enjoyably!

My daughter and I had just arrived in Lisbon and took our hotel’s guest relations manager’s recommendation to do a walking tour of the city to familiarise ourselves before our 2 week stay. So glad we did as we were brought on an interesting 3km walk over 3 hours of the city’s winding streets around our hotel. Ines was knowledgeable, passionate about her city of Lisboa and introduced us to a local’s perspective. Her knowledge of the history of Lisboa was also excellent. We made a few unscheduled shopping stops along the way when something caught our eye but Ines was always obliging and flexible. Leather boots are a good buy in Lisbon. I had issues figuring out the laces and it was Ines on the floor in front of me trying to help me tie the laces without my asking. Service with a capital S. Thanks, Ines.

We did a full week tour with Tailor Made Travel. Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Obidos, Coimbra, then up to Porto and the Douro Valley wine tour. Everything was first class. Ines, Felip and Manel, our guides, were wonderful and all went out of their way to give us a unique experience. We saw places that weren't ever on our radar and experienced many different sides of Portugal. It's a gorgeous country! Highly recommend.
