It's the second time we visit this museum, and I don't think I could be in Lisbon and not stop here. I love the gardens - they're so peaceful, I cannot imagine anyone could help but fall in love with them. The museum building itself is rough and not desperately appealing - but the way it blends with the garden, and the way the garden seems to seep inside the museum rooms, is heart wrenchingly beautiful.

The museum has some really impressive permanent collections, but we were lucky enough to also catch a Rembrandt exhibition, and a display dedicated to female voices in art. Both beautifully curated, although very different in style: the Rembrandt exhibition was more "traditional museum", while the one dedicated to female voices was more creative, subversive, and (to me) captivating. But even if you don't visit the museum at all, a stroll through the garden is well worth the trip to the area!

A very varied collection that is very well presented and gives the viewer space to explore the exhibits easily. The wait time in the garden cafe is less than the main restaurant and they do a reasonable fixed-price menu.

The museum has a great mix of artefacts from textiles, pottery, furniture and paintings the price was very reasonable if not cheap for what is provided. The museum is spotless and with a great cafe.

On purchase of ticket the cashier explained how to download the free app that linked to descriptions of exhibits. The exhibition covers Egyptian times to the C20th including pottery, carpets, furniture, paintings and more. It is difficult to say how good all that is on display is. Not to be missed.

We were lucky to see the Sarah Affonso collection and Islamic Art as well as other pieces owned by the museum. I have been before but this day was pleasant and sunny and perfect to enjoy the gardens. Lots of walking so be prepared and not easy walking. Several cafes scattered throughout perfect for a snack. Staff is knowledgeable

Loved the gardens and museum, particularly the architecture! Great to escape the city and relax. If you like brutalism you’ll love it!

Easy access to booking but still had to get in line with those that didn’t have tickets. No will call. Also, audio tour was not free, it costs 2Euros & 10 Euro deposit.otherwise we’ll worth it!

I saw most of the Founder's Collection, and the gardens. I did not get to the Modern Collection, or the current/temporary exhibits.

The gardens between the main buildings are pleasant rolling grassy hills and pathways, with lots of little cul-de-sacs in the shade with benches. There are fish ponds and ducks and turtles. There's a bamboo grove and a babbling brook. A few people having picnics and smoking.

The Founder's Collection contains artifacts from Greek, Roman, Persian, and other ancient civilizations. The artifacts are in pristine condition and are presented in well-lit, spacious rooms and you can see everything close up. The collection also consists of several well-known works of art, including Rembrandts and Rodins.
