I knew almost nothing about Belem and Portugal in general before booking this tour and I had zero expectations. Sara gave us history with amazing energy and dedication. I learned so much while being entertained. Sara is a great speaker and very passionate about her work. Jose was the perfect guide to introduce Lisbon to my husband and myself. He is professional, personable and charming. We enjoyed our walking tour very much and highly recommend Jose. It was our first day in Lisbon so it helped to orient us.

A great way to get to know a little about this city. Our guide, Guilherme, was entertaining, informative and knowledgeable. The walking is not terribly taxing, but wear comfortable and grippy shoes as everything is either up or down.

The tour was amazing! I especially liked that she talked a lot about the locals, which you woudn’t know otherwise. Huge recommendation!

We had a great tour guide: Beatrix. From the first moment on this was our tour, because she wanted to show us Lisbon's old town and took all the time to give us a great picture about the history of this town. We saw the cathedral and got so much interesting info I was very surprised to hear about we also walked along streets and got info and beautiful views of the city. Now to make our walk extra special we could sip on a glass of Ginja (local cherry wine) and at the end she brought us to the oldest running bookstore (it has English books!!!!) A wonderful experience I can highly recommend. Get good shoes and enjoy Lisbon with her!

The tour was amazing walking through the oldest part of the city, amazing spots and views of the city from the top. Elisa was a great guide, funny, lots of positive energy and of course so many thing to tell about the past of the city and reccommendstions to enjoy the present. Sara, our leader, explained the history of Portugal and other historical points of interest when we stopped at sites. Her narratives were informed. In addition, she had a great sense of humor and really watched over each and every one of us. The walk, itself, was delightful. We would not have appreciated the importance of the Alfama district and stops if we had done the walk ourselves. I highly recommend Hi Lisbon and Sara as your guide.

Sara was a superb tour guide. Not only is she very knowledgeable on Lisbons history, culture, politics, architecture and food, she also brings it to life in a very engaging and fun way. I would highly recommend this tour to all visitors.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Sara! She is smart, funny, knowledgeable, and highly entertaining. We learned a lot not only about Alfama, but about Lisbon and Portugal in general. She was patient in answering all our questions, and generous in sharing "insider" information about Lisbon that made the rest of our visit that much more enjoyable. I went back to Alfama and Mouraria the following day and felt I had a much better understanding of the neighbourhoods than if I had just gone on my own.
