The Lisbon Bike Tour is a very easy tour since it does not have any climb, always descending and flat. We will start at the top of Parque Eduardo VII, go through downtown of Lisbon and all the way to Belém along the Tagus River. It will last about 4 hours. Half way through, we make a short stop in downtown where we offer you a special and typical drink and another stop in an old café where you try another specialty of Lisbon, this time a pastry. This stop is also a chance for our guests to use the restroom or to have another drink (drinks at this café are not included). These 4 hours for about 10kms mean a slow and panoramic pace. We stop at the interesting spots of our city and tell you about what’s around. It is the best way to get to know Lisbon. We will finish in Belém area, the other historical area of Lisbon apart from the downtown and related with our Discoverer’s period. In Belém, after we finish, you will be on your own. Within a short walking distance at the end of the bike tour, there are public transportation options available (bus, tram and train) or taxi to return you to your needed area of Lisbon. Except for the taxi, all of the options require a metro card. Our guide will explain you these options as well as suggest places for you to have a snack or a lunch and places for you to visit in the afternoon by foot. Belém has fine monuments, some of them Unesco World Heritage sites.

    Bad customer service
Didn’t do very well, I was charged 350 euro for a broken chain selector which suddenly went bust. No empathy whatsoever on the issue. Bad experience. Sorry for the bad wrap but its true.

If you like to bike or your feet are tired, this is a great option.
The bikes were in great condition the route was easy and our guide, Sander was very fun and interesting! I highly recommend this trip for anyone who feels comfortable riding a bike through people and a few narrow intersections.

Vincent was fantastic! Fun and knowledgeable. He managed a group of 14 without a problem. The city is really cute and we saw a lot of it.

Fun and adventurous day, a MUST to add on your Lisbon trip!
This day was definitely one of the highlights of my vacation in Lisbon. Early in the morning we all gathered near a station where our guide Sofia picked us up. We drove to Sesimbra and on our way over there Sofia told us a lot about the history of Lisbon and about the monuments we passed. Marquês de Pombal was of course one there was a lot to tell us about. Out of the city we saw cork trees alongside the road. When we arrived in Sesimbra Sofia gave us instructions on how to get in the boats, wear our vests etcetera. And then the water adventure began! It was really relaxing aswelll as sportive. We saw loads of fish swimming around us, and the water was very clear and blue. After paddling for a while enjoying the beautiful surroundings existing out of beautiful water, amazing cliffs and caves we paddled in and out of, we arrived at a secluded beach. On the beach Sofia spoiled us with some lovely local pastries and we could all go for a swim. There were a few strong waves and the water was fairly cold but my oh my did I enjoy the sea. Definitely a beautiful location! (had to share a picture) Later that day when we paddled back to Sesimbra, we drove up to a castle that had a beautiful view of the city. There Sofia told us a bit more about local history. Before we drove back to Lisbon she treated us with a delicious local wine of which I can't remember the name. But what I do remember is that it had a soft sweet taste. After that Sofia drove us back to the place she picked us up from. This day was amazing and definitely a must if you're in Lisbon. To Sofia and the Arrabida Kayak Day tour organization, thank you for a wonderful and super fun day! Greets, Robert

    Great addition to your Lisbon-trip!
What a wonderful day this was! We left early in the morning and headed for Sesimbra, a delightful beach resort with a pristine coastline. On our way over there, our tour guide Sophia told us stories about all the historical monuments we past, and showed us what cork trees looked like (as it's one of the biggest exports of Portugal). When we arrived in Sesimbra, she instructed us what to do and took us out along the shoreline. The water was gorgeous! Ice cold, but gorgeous nonetheless. We went in and out of caves, saw lots of fish swimming around us and learned loads about our surroundings (Sophia really knows her stuff!). Around lunchtime we paddled over to a secluded beach where Sophia treated us to local Portugese sweets. Afterwards we paddled back, and drove up to a castle where we could look out over the whole town, and even see Lisbon from a far! We ended the day with some sort of sweet local wine (can't remember the name, but I DO remember it being so delicious that I came back for a few refills..), and headed back to Lisbon. Definitely one of our highlights during our visit to Lisbon! :) :)

Great day trip outside of Lisbon
We started early in the morning, were very lucky with the weather and had a great day out kayaking in Sesimbra. We paddled along the shoreline, going in and out of coves and caves, while seeing birds and fish. Our tour guide Sofia was great, as she told us lots about local geology and wild life as well as some history. We reached a beach around midday and had some snacks and got some Portugueses sweets. After spending time at the beach we finally headed back on land, to then drive up to the castle and enjoy the view together with a sweet wine... all in all, a very full and eventful day which will go into the "happy-memory-folder" :) Very recommendable.

Relaxed fun with a local touch
We started the day with a drive to the local market to grab fresh produce for lunch on the beach later - breads, salamis, fruit and cheese - all super fresh and cheap. We then kayaked to a fairly quiet beach where we got to enjoy the sun, a dip in the water, lunch - and our guide Lorenzo provided us with local pastries from the area. After lunch we kayaked back and went up to the nearby castle on a hill where our other guide, Sofia - talked through a brief history of the castle. We finished the day with some sweet moscatel wine and biscuits. Relaxed pace and lovely atmosphere - really enjoyed this tour!

This was great experience. Good people and great weather. You get to see places that you would be able unless by boat. A lot of fun.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the day long excursion via kayaks to the wonderful beach. Sofia and Lorenzo were excellent hosts, and very informative of the region, and Portugal in general. Fantastic time.

    Arrabida kayak day
We couldn’t do the kayak tour as there was too much wind that day. But our guides, Lorenzo and Sofia, made sure that we still had a good day by exploring the region doing multiple stops and a walking tour outside one of the castles with amazing views.

This was a brilliant way to start our trip in Lisbon. We saw a wide variety of sights and heard some of the fascinating history of the city - the sort of stuff you just wouldn't notice or appreciate without a guide. Our guide Paolo was a delight, and so passionate about his city.

The bikes were excellent quality with fat tyres that were really comfortable to ride even over the cobbles - and it genuinely is 100% downhill or flat. You don't need to be fit to do this trip but it's quite long so pack some snacks and the suncream for sure :)

This was a great tour that combined information about the city, our guide’s unique perspective as a local, and a relaxed bike ride through the city down the water, to Belem. We had a beautiful day and I highly recommend this local outfit. Biking was slow going as it’s a busy pedestrian city, so lots of weaving in and out of people, scooters, and occasionally cars at a relaxed pace. There’s tons to choose from to do in Belem and an easy train ride or bus back to town. My only complaint is that I got very sunburnt despite wearing sunscreen, so wear lots and bring extra to reapply! I would definitely recommend this tour or do it again if I found myself back in Lisbon.

The concept of a ride from Lisbon to Belem is great, but our experience was mixed. The group was about 15 people for only one guide. The guide had trouble keeping us all together and we thought 2 guides or a smaller group would have worked better. Also, the guide often stopped to tell us something right in a place where there was too much traffic noise for all of us to hear him. As a guide Jorge was nice, knowledgeable and caring but very serious and a bit long winded. Most of the time was spent in Lisbon which was crowded. We would have preferred more biking and fewer stops in Lisbon. Maybe skip the pastry and drink in Lisbon to have more time in Belem? The bikes were comfortable though and the overall route very nice. We really liked the idea of finishing in Belem and exploring there, rather than a circular loop.

Lisbon may be a small capital, but it is spread out and this tour was the perfect way to see so many of its highlights. Our guide Jorge navigated us safely through the city center stopping to explain interesting history and sights onto the river Tagus bike lanes, out to the Belem tower. Our 9 and 13 year olds loved it as much as we did. Fabulous day!

This tour was one of the most enjoyable city bike tours that we have ever done. Our guide Sander originally from Belgium was terrific, fun & very interesting but he also made sure to take good care of us on the cycling.
The tour was from the top of Parque Eduardo V11 to Belem, passing through the main city streets to Praca de Comercio & then along the river under 25 April bridge ending in Belem.
We stopped frequently to hear the history about places & their significance , to have a coffee and to just take photos.

This was a fun way to get acquainted with Lisbon. Our tour guide Vincent was fun and very knowledgeable about the history of the city. The first part of the trip is all downhill until you are in the heart of Lisbon. It is a little tricky navigating through the city with all the traffic and people walking. The second part of the trip is more enjoyable as you bike along the river to Belem. The Monument of the Discovers was a beautiful sight to see! I would definitely recommend this trip.

I ws expecting a little bit more history, like interesting buildings to see, but I really loved the insight into Portuguese life that our guide, Maya, gave us. The cycling was not hard, the bikes were comfortable, and it was a good way to get an overview of the centre of the city. However, finding the meeting point was a little stressful when you don't know where you're going. It would be helpful to have a phone number to contact.

Who'd have thought a ride through the City of Seven Hills could be so easy? (I'm 65). Our guide Maya took us to all the landmarks as well as some places we would never have found on our own, but the highlight was probably pedalling along the riverfront. I have been on similar tours (Porto and Manhattan, for example) and have found that bike tours are the best way to get to know a new city...way more intimate than a bus tour, and you could never do it all on foot.

Informative and kind group leader who ensured everyone was looked after. The tour was too slow and bitty at the beginning. Too many stops to talk about monuments or Lisbon history that was not really interesting. This would have been fine except that by the time we got to the river to do the big bike ride and finish at Belem some in the group were tired and the weather changed so we had to cut down the tour. I would have preferred to have cycled more and seen more in 4 hours than what we did. So much covered in central Lisbon/ historic town that is easily accessible to any tourist. The bike should open up more sightseeing of difficult to get to parts. I would not do this or recommend to others as a result. Factoring I’m some stops at interesting monuments to walk around/ explore on own for 15min also better than simply stopping and talking about politics of the country over the years etc.
