Filipa met us at our hotel in a Tuk Tuk for the tour. We had an amazing food tasting tour. Filipa was an excellent hostess and exposed us to different cuisines , cherry brandy and Manuel was our Tuk Tuk driver who spoke excellent english. I truly recommend this tour

I was travelling alone, so I was lucky enough to get a private tour, moving at our own pace. Filipa is very knowledgeable and empathetic. She is very easy to warm up to and made me feel comfortable right away. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour and I would highly recommend this to anyone planning a trip to Lisbon. Bring a hat and comfortable shoes with good traction; there is a small amount of uphill/downhill walking on slippery cobblestone.

Filipa is a delightful tour guide in Lisbon. She clearly loves her city and enjoys sharing it with guests. She interspersed Portugal's history with the food tour, making everything that much more meaningful. We roamed the city, tasting Pastel de nata, sardines, cheese, port, green wine, ginjinha, among other traditional flavors. Filipa is open and energetic. It was fun to spend the day with her.

Wow, what a wonderful day! We worked with Filipa on a private 5-hour food focused walking tour of Lisbon and it was truly a 5-star experience! Filipa’s knowledge of and passion for the culture, the history and the food and beverages (coffee, port, wine and ginginha) of Lisbon is second to none. She worked with us to personalize the tour and was very in-tuned to what we wanted to taste and see. We never felt rushed and stayed longer where we wanted and moved on when we were ready and as a result we were together for well over the 5-hours we booked. The “tour” was more like spending the day with a relative or friend as it seamlessly flowed from food to history to culture to food again. We stayed off the typical tourist track and what we saw, where we tasted and dined left a lastly impression and created life long memories of our time in Lisbon. Filipa met us at our hotel and arranged a cab to get us to Belem. While we were there, she provided us with a lot of details and facts that we would not have otherwise found. She took us through a botanical garden and gave us a lot of good insights on how to plan a more detailed visit to some of the other sights in the area. I booked my tours with Filipa a number of months in advance of our trip. We did a walking tour of Lisbon and then another that was in Belem. Filipa was responsive and gracious in answering questions and stayed in touch prior to our trip. On the day of our first tour, she met us on time at the designated spot. It turned out that our tour coincided with a large roadrace but she was able to work around it. We saw numerous spots that we would have otherwise missed and stopped for a local pastry. Filipa provided a lot of insights and historical background information. For our second tour, she met us at our hotel and coordinated a cab to get us to Belem. Once there, she again gave a lot of local perspective and insights. Our objective on this trip was to get a closer feel for Lisbon than just seeing tourist point. Filipa was an excellent resource for that and I highly recommend her.

The most outstanding service! The guide is super knowledgeable and the tour has information on architecture, history, some interesting tales … everything. And amazing coffee and custard tarts.

Filipa gave us a fantastic introduction to Lisbon. Her private food tour, which included centuries of history, decades of politics and many aspects of Portuguese culture as well as food and drink, was the perfect beginning for our two week visit to the country. If you can book a tour with Filipa on your first day in Lisbon, it's an ideal way to get oriented. Filipa is knowledgable, warm, lively and easygoing -- in short, she's great company. We walked through multiple neighborhoods at a relaxed pace. We covered a lot of ground, got a great feel for the city and ate generous portions of delicious food and drank our fill of Portuguese wine. The experience was personal and Filipa made sure it truly revolved around our interests. We learned a ton and we got great advice from Filipa about what to do in Lisbon as well as in other parts of the country we planned to visit. She was a terrific resource. Filipa was also extremely generous with her time before we arrived -- so much so that when she came to meet my husband, our daughter and me I felt like I was greeting an old friend. On our next visit to Portugal, we will make sure to plan time to do other tours with Filipa.

Our tour leader thoughtfully curated a long walk through Lisbon that encompassed history, architecture, and traditions into the foodie theme. She was knowledgeable, friendly and charming. On our first day of arriving in Lisbon, we made a great decision to join Filipa’s food tour. It turned out to be much more than just eating and drinking. We had learned so much about history, culture and even local tips on getting around (if you want to skip uphill walks, she’ll take you on her sure win path 🤭). We loved the tradition and local food and drinks she brought us to sample (and there were plenty)! We visited different neighborhoods and viewpoints and took lots of pictures.
