Friendly, Knowledgeable, and Truly Enjoyable Tour
I had a fantastic time with Nuno and Miguel! They were not only incredibly knowledgeable about the places we visited and their history, but also so friendly and kind throughout the tour. They eagerly shared interesting insights and answered all our questions with honesty and enthusiasm. Their warm and welcoming attitude made the experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend their tours to anyone. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to Miguel at the end—my apologies! Thank you both for your kindness and excellent service!

      Wonderful Memories
Our tour guide, Tania was fantastic. Since we were traveling the day before New Year’s Eve, she was monitoring the traffic from Lisbon to Sintra and adjusted the start time so that we could avoid the heaviest traffic. We appreciated her explanations of the historic sites in addition to her enthusiastic descriptions of Portuguese culture, economy, topography, etc. ..from the cultivation of cork to the production of port wines. The National Palace of Pena in Sintra , Cascais and Cabo da Roca are definitely worth visiting! We plan to return to Lisbon and are looking forward to another day tour with her.

      Fantastic Tour & Guide
As someone who prefers exploring on my own instead of a tour, I would highly recommend this day tour! Carolina was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and so so kind! She was the best part of the tour, as she constantly shared interesting information about the drive and sights, and answered any questions the group had. The itinerary was perfectly paced, allowing us to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed. We also got to see the beautiful coast, and I think the stop to cabo de roca was lovely touch . Carolina was extra sweet and provided me a list of her favourite restaurants after I asked for her recommendations. :)

      Highly recommended daytrip
What a fantastic day to spend a day! With visits to Fatima, Batalha, Nazaré and Obidos, it was a full schedule that one would never be able to do on your own in a single day. We had ample time to discover these beautiful places on our own and eat, shop or just soak up the atmosphere. Our guide was an expert driver, caring and very knowledgeable. If you are considering this tour, book immediately. You will not regret it! In addition I have to mention that the pickup point is central and easy to find, and that even for a person who is not very fit, it will be easy to keep up with the rest of the group. Also it rained part of the day but due to our expert guide, that did not spoil our programme or enjoyment at all. This tour will make you fall in love with Portugal!

Great Tour - see it all in one day!
This was a great tour!! Ricardo was a great guide and was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Definitely pick this one, you are only in a small group of up to 8 which is perfect, you don’t lose time waiting for 20 others and you get a friendlier personalized experience. You get to explore Sintra, see the lighthouse, enjoy some ginjinha, visit Cascais for lunch, and then go to the Pena Palace. It was very rainy and foggy so Ricardo was kind enough to get us tickets for the shuttle to take us up to the palace so we wouldnt have to walk. He shared very interesting history about the palace and took us around the outdoor portions, and then let us explore the inside at our own pace. Pickup and drop off are very convenient, you have a good balance of guided tour and independent wandering throughout the day. Thank you Ricardo!!

Worth every penny !!!!! Definitely recommended !!!!!!
This is one really good trip to book. The operator was fantastic and a big shout out to our guide Tania. The day before the tour we got a mail on the meeting spot and what to wear etc. On the day we were met by our guide Tania who introduced us and made sure all the people were accounted for. She even took the time to help another couple who was not in our tour but was also waiting for their tour operator. She had a nice introduction with everyone in the group and then proceeded to tell us about the rich heritage of Portugal and the places that we were to visit. The Fatima site was something to behold, and tania checked the mass timings in english for us and gave us sometime to roam about. After tht it was on to the surfing village of nazare where we stopped fir lunch. The restaurants that tania recommended did not disappoint and the scenes were simply amazing. In obidos we got to taste the ginga, which the region is famous for and a must try. All in all it was a trip really worth it and would definitely recommend it. Be assured if you have Tania as your guide...... you will love the tour!!!!!!

Great experience and amazing tour guide. 10/10.
It was amazing. Carolina was absolutely fantastic and her amazing energy and knowledge really made the trip what it was. The trip is perfectly planned, it gives you enough time to enjoy the sights, eat, shop, and learn. Your tour guide gives you incredible insight into each area along with the knowledge that only locals know. It’s a perfect group size so you don’t feel lost in the big group. We all had so much fun. I cannot emphasize how amazing our tour guide Carolina was, at the end she made sure we were all ok getting back. That we weren’t lost, or knew where to go. I’m a vegetarian and she gave great recommendations for food not just during the trip but for when I got back. I highly recommend this trip, I think it is well worth the price and I would like to do another when I return.

A great day out, you won't be disappointed.
This would be one of the highlights of our last trip to Europe. An excellent day out, we couldn't have asked for more. Our guide was excellent she told us about where we were going as well as interesting info about Portugal and the Portugese people. By the end of the day you felt like part of her family. Her timing between venues was great, we had more than enough time to see everything. The van was well appointed and all of us felt very comfortable. Well worth the money for what we got, great value. It was a full day and commentary started as soon as we took off and didn't stop till we were back in Lisbon. Highly recommended.

The rest of the people on my tour canceled, so this ended up being an entirely private tour. Manuel (the guide) was brilliant—informed on history, geology, etymology, and more. I learned so much, the scenery was stunning, and the tour didn’t feel rushed whatsoever. Highly recommend if you want to escape heavy tourist areas while still feeling like you’re experiencing something important (which you are). Perfect middle ground, in my opinion.

The tour was fantastic: stunning views of the coast, fascinating historical sites, simply delicious food in Sesimbra—but the real tour de force was Tania.

With focus, care, and humor, Tania made the trip easy for a long day of touring some of Southern Portugal’s most delightful sights. Tania remembered everyone’s name in the tour group. If there is an apocalypse, I’d want Tania behind the wheel—what a magnificent driver! Sesimbra has incredibly tight roads and I bet Tania could’ve got us through the town with her eyes closed. She led the wine tasting and offered very specific details about the vineyard along with more context about wine and grapes. Her knowledge of the sites and history is remarkable! We went from learning about early modern fortresses and recent archeological finds to the filming of a Madonna music video. What a leaner’s delight. All and all, Tania was so lovely and made the trip absolutely incredible.

This was an excellent tour that exceed my initial expectations. Since the tour has a limit of 8 people at most, this gives everyone a chance to get to know the guide and the group better. In this setup, it's easier to ask any question and keep interested in everything that is going on.

Carolina, our tour guide, did a great job of engaging with everyone in the tour, always keeping the conversation going and everyone in good spirits. She also knows a lot about the places we visit, and Portugal as a country. Overall, she went way beyond what we expected, giving great tips on things to do and places to eat, which we went afterwards and enjoyed quite a lot!

The places we visit were very well chosen. I never heard of Sesimbra before seeing this tour, and I am glad I took part and got to know more about it. I'd definitely recommend this tour to any friend going to Portugal.

Our day started out in a comfortable van driving west toward the coast. With Carolina as our safe driver, we rode and observed all that passed by while listening to her tell us about the history of the areas we were going to visit and about the agriculture and country exports as well. We had lunch in the seaside fishing village of Sesimbra, right along the Atlantic, and then had free time to walk around the charming hilly town before we heading up the nearby mountains to look at a convent nestled in the hills of Arrábida, a national park. Later, we drove down to the town of Setúbal for our very complete and delicious white & red wine tasting at a quaint winery -- Quinta de Alcube.

It was a very full day, but not at all long, filled with delicious food, drink and Portuguese history, told by no one better than Carolina herself. She gave us an unforgettable experience and I cannot recommend her and Lisbon Riders enough to anyone reading this post. Thank you, Carolina!

Tanya was a wonderful guide! This was our first time to Portugal, and all of the destinations she chose along the path were absolutely stunning. She was entertaining the whole way, and provided excellent suggestions on how to enjoy our stay in Lisboa. Her passion for the country really shined through. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to see the best sites, enjoy a beautiful winery and spend a whole day away from the tourist crowds.

The trip was exactly what we were looking for. Our guide Tania was great. She made the trip very fun. She is very knowledgeable about history and Portugal in general, and we learned a lot from her. Off-the-beaten path was perfect for us because Tania took us to places that were not touristy at all but had great views. So beautiful.

This was our absolute favorite day trip while in Portugal. Tania (our local guide) was so engaging and shared her passion for the area. She was so welcoming and genuinely was interested in learning about us individually. We enjoyed our fellow travelers so much; 8 people total. Small and intimate. Perfect group size.

Sesimbra and the Arrabida area is stunning. Nature, sun, gorgeous viewpoints, wine, engaging conversation. A perfect day for us : )

Highly recommended. We hope to return and do more day trips with Lisbon Riders.

Carolina was our guide and my tour was with 3 other couples. Despite being on my own it was a fantastic day starting with a one hour or so drive to Arrábida with lovely views along the coast. The weather was somewhat overcast and quite breezy on the cliff tops so worth taking a jacket with you. Next stop was the castle walls and a small church with beautiful blue and white tiles inside. The views over Sesimbra were fantastic. We then had about 1.5 hours free time in Sesimbra which was plenty long enough to eat lunch (Choco frito - fried cuttlefish is definitely worth trying) and a wander around.
In the afternoon we drove to a pretty viewpoint overlooking an old monastery then through the national park to the family winery. We tried 5 wines in all and Carolina explained about the grape varieties. All in all it was a really interesting day with just the right mix of historical facts and time to explore. Carolina is an exceptional guide and made the day particularly interesting and fun. A lovely escape from the City.

This was an excellent tour taking in the scenic Sesimbra Peninsula with a number of stops along the way and a great wine-tasting. Our guide Tanya provided a detailed and informative in-sight into the places visited and along the way, as well as into the Portuguese history. She was very engaging and made sure that our group felt well looked after. The size of the group (8 pax) was also a bonus. I really had a wonderful day and recommend this tour.
