Overview
Taste the best that Lisbon has to offer with this 3-hour private food tour. Sample eight handpicked treats and two drinks such as the famous Portuguese sardines, local cheeses, sausages, and of course, ‘pastel de nata’—custard tarts. Between bites, learn about the history of Portuguese cuisine and enjoy a tour of the historic neighborhood of Alfama. This diet can be customized based on dietary preferences and restrictions.
What to Expect

Meet your guide at the Miradouro Sao de Alcantara and take in the scenic views of the city while learning about the burgeoning food scene in Lisbon.

During the next three hours, sample some of the best delicacies that Portugal has to offer such as a traditional sausage made with veal or duck—alheira—as well as some local beer. Next up, try the bifana, traditional sandwich filled with spicy, slow-cooked pork and Portuguese snails.

Head over to the city’s oldest Ginjinha shop to try the famous liqueur made from sour cherries before sampling some of Portugal’s most favored snacks like local cheeses, grilled sardines, and cod fish croquettes.

Listen to informative commentary about the history of the cuisine from your guide throughout your tour. Bid farewell to your fellow foodies in the historic Alfama district while enjoying the famous pastel de nata.
