About
This is a cover all tour, affording you the opportunity to visit, in one glorious sweep, all the major landmarks and spots of the route best known as the Portuguese Riviera. What to expect
  • After pickup outside of Hotel Tivoli in Lisbon, you’ll travel to Sintra, hailed the European capital of Romanticism, in an air-conditioned vehicle. During the journey, you’ll admire lush greenery and hear tales of legend from your guide. Your first stop is the Palace of Queluz, a gorgeous 18th-century palace used by the Portuguese royal family as a summer residence. Delve into the landmark’s history before spending relaxed free time exploring Sintra, the historical center of which is considered a UNESCO World Heritage site. Next, ascend to the Moorish Castle on its hilltop perch and stroll beside its 8th-century wall. Following this, you’ll proceed to Pena National Palace — undoubtedly the gem in Sintra’s glittering architectural crown. Tour the vibrant confection of domes and towers, colored lemon yellow and pastel pink, and be sure to capture photographs of the surrounding scenery from your elevated viewpoint. During the journey back to Lisbon, you’ll stop at Cabo da Roca, Europe’s westernmost point, to witness towering cliffs and the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean. See, too, the beautiful beaches of Estoril and Cascais, quaint coastal towns home to boutiques, palaces and restaurants. Your tour concludes with drop-off at your original departure point.

Wonderful tour!
Aug 2019 • Couples
Ramiro picked us up promptly at our apartment as we were the only passengers! He was very very friendly and a safe driver. So glad we used him rather than trying to do on our own.. it was very crowded and parking was a premium. We managed to do everything we wanted and he even showed us things we didn’t know about. He provided us with maps of each site and the best way to tour each site and would be waiting for us when we were done. I had accidentally mixed up a site with tickets I purchased ( and you do need to buy online in advance to save time) and Ramiro picked us up from the wrong place and drove us to the correct place (25 minutes out of the way). We toured Pena palace, Moorish Castle, lunch in Sintra with shopping time, Palacio de Queluz palace, Cabo da Roca and Cascais. We returned back at 545. He provided water for us and lots of friendly conversation. We enjoyed our day very much!

Amazing half day with an and even more amazing guide in Jose Ribeiro!
Jan 2018 • Couples
We took the half day tour to Sintra, Cascais and Cabo De Roca as part of the TAP Air Portugal stopover deal. It turned out that we were the only two on the tour and so in essence this became a private tour. Our guide for the three and a half hours was Jose Ribeiro who was waiting for us and raring to go before the allotted time. The tour was fantastic but it was Jose who made the trip such a fantastic experience, he speaks perfect English and shared so much knowledge about the places we visited and much much more! He is a really engaging guy and we felt so comfortable talking with him, exchanging views and experiences it added so much to the tour itself. I cannot recommend Lisbon on Wheels highly enough, fantastic!

Awesome Service
Sep 2017 • Couples
Our guide Jose aka Manuel Silva picked us at the hotel at the scheduled time and directly went to Sintra. We booked share tour but there was no other people so it felt like a private tour. Jose is very knowledgeable where he knew almost everything along the way. He also talked in funny way. The Pena Palace is awesome and i think half-day is not enough to enjoy all the attraction in Sintra.
Thank you so much for your cordiality Jose, looking for another trip with you in the feature. Obrigado!
